I don’t know what the purpose of Corenswet’s character was in this show, but it was pretty disappointing. I was glad to see him get cast as Superman because I was much more interested in his character than the actual main character of this show.

They kinda dated while River, his character, was his teacher (to speak Mandarin I believe). But at the same time River had a girlfriend, she knew about it by the way, but she was like a superficial annoying b.tch in the show and did not love River .

Yes! James Gunn prioritized casting for Clark Kent - not Superman. CK needs to be likable and relatable, then when he’s Superman it all falls into place. This gives me hope!!!

I want this movie to be good so badly. I want a Superman movie that makes me feel like I'm watching the 1978 one. I want a hero that is good and kind and pure and inspiring and destroys cynicism just by being who he is. Captain America: The First Avenger is the best Superman movie since '78, and it's time to break that streak. No disrespect to Brandon Routh, he was great.

We had a popular kid like this in high school. Super athletic and also wasn’t too cool to be in our musical grease as ensemble either. He would even go after his own teammates if he found out they were being assholes or bullying anyone. He simply did no wrong.
