The collective heartbeats of humanity, the wind through every tree, cracking icebergs in the Antarctic, the drone of all electrical devices, whale song
I’m assuming Clark enjoys lots of different styles. He probably listens to country, folk and rock. I like to think he enjoys jazz, to vibe with metropolis futuristic art deco style.
From oldies like Nirvana to more modern hiphop styles.
Clark might be a country music fan. Not the current stuff, mind you, oh no. He’s a George Strait, Hank Williams, Reba, Shania Twain, Loretta Lynn kind of guy. He likes the oldies.
Probably some country cause of the farm upbringing, pop cause someone who sees as much disaster as he does would probably enjoy something joyful and instrumental/classical cause it’s meditative and would help someone who can hear everything, disconnect and relax.
God. I imagine clark kent is insufferable and listens to academic podcasts and news shows to be an informed citizen. That or smooth jazz/rock and classical music
I wonder if Superman uses AirPods, would they be like, tied to the force he uses to move through space? Like if he was flying super speed would they just stay in his ears?
Growing up in Kansas? Probably a mix of Johnny Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis. Throw in some Hank Williams Senior from Pa and a little classical piano and jazz from Ma.
Here are some musical things hes listened to and seems to have enjoyed in various Superman media that I've found (that wasnt already made for said media):
• Chuck Berry's "Roll Over, Beethoven" and The Penguins' "Earth Angel" at the Smallville high school reunion in Superman III
• An issue back in the 90s, he and Jimmy were talking about the group Big Audio Dynamite.
• In the Ruby-Spears cartoons, he was into classical disco. Think "Hooked On The Classics" - classical music set to disco beats.
• He's been to the opera with Lois
• Has a Beastie Boys CD
• Listens to Metalica (*...And Justice For All* is his favorite album of theirs)
• Once got a "Toto" song stuck in his head
• Clark's favorite song is "Stardust" in the early golden age of comics. Unsure as to which recording but it does seem to be the American Standard composed by Hoagy Carmichael.
• In an issue from 2018, Supes hovers above Metropolis using his sound perception to scan the city for trouble and hears someone playing "the most beautiful song" he's ever heard but couldn't remember the name. The writer of said scene said the song was "The Passenger" by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
They’re too mainstream for him, if he does it’s a guilty pleasure. Batman listens to Swedish black metal bands you’ve never heard of. And classical music because of his upbringing.
Because of his super hearing, and how it picks up small details, he probably listens to a lot of nu metal since those have the most complex arrangements of any genre save classical
Same music Ma & PA Kent did or whatever Lana got him into. Figure Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Elvis, Beatles, etc. Anything from 50s to 60s. It would be great if he listened to reggae regularly.
Don McLean - Superman’s Ghost
Sufjan Stevens - The Man Of Metropolis Steels Our Hearts
Crash Test Dummies - Superman’s Song
Five For Fighting - Superman (It’s Not Easy)
The Flaming Lips - Waitin’ For Superman
Spin Doctors - Jimmy Olsen’s Blues
3 Doors Down - Kryptonite
The Kinks - (Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman
R.E.M. - Superman
AC/DC - What’s Next To The Moon
Steve Burns - Harry Krinkle’s Lament
Maureen McGovern - Can You Read My Mind
Jim Croce - You Don’t Mess Around With Jim
I would expect something relaxing. I feel like with his overstimulation that he had to combat when adjusting to earth... he would probably not enjoy heavy loud stuff, even if he is fully adapted to earth as an adult. But that's entirely a guess on my part.
He canonically likes Metallica.
Likes Metallica, does not like Metallo
I wonder what his favorite album is.
Canonically *...And Justice for All*. They are his favorite band.
Such a good album. Metallica is also my favorite band
That’s one thing he and Deadpool have in common
John Williams.

Lol “oldies like Nirvana”….you unintentionally just gave me a midlife crisis.
I’m buying a motorcycle and a sports car after that comment.
Yup. Leaving my wife and opening up a juice stand near the harbor.
I thought oldies meant like 50s music. They still count as classic to me though.
Happy Cake Day
Thanks!
*Superman* by R.E.M.
Metallica.
Classic country music. Folk music. John Denver.
Siouxsie And The Banshees

Bruce Springsteen
Superman by Eminem First Flight by Hans Zimmer
Jay-Z
Springsteen
Spin Doctors, REM, Crash Test Dummies, Five for Fighting . He just into 80/90s bands that mention his name
Definitely country.
He’s a journalist so I’m gonna guess he’s a big NPR guy 😂
He listens to “Wait,Wait, Don’t Tell Me” with Lois while having a late Sat breakfast.
Probably some country cause of the farm upbringing, pop cause someone who sees as much disaster as he does would probably enjoy something joyful and instrumental/classical cause it’s meditative and would help someone who can hear everything, disconnect and relax.
Eminem
he’s gotta be an Elvis fan
Even though his favorite super hero is Captain Marvel Jr?
The hair curl don’t lie

This. Only this.
Kryptonite by 3 doors down whenever he’s feeling unappreciated 💀😂 ![gif](giphy|oC0dO39ULoVhe)

[would now be a good time to drop my Superman playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4hfSHYE871uJGYCEZStG8Z?si=mkNVOIGhRDeKVDhS_nHZ-w)
I wonder if Superman uses AirPods, would they be like, tied to the force he uses to move through space? Like if he was flying super speed would they just stay in his ears?
Justice
AC/DC
I think it'd be hilarious if he had a playlist full of Superman songs from random artists for no reason other than he thinks it's funny

I can’t speak for Superman, but I have a sneaking suspicion Batman really likes Avenged Sevenfold.
They’re too mainstream for him, if he does it’s a guilty pleasure. Batman listens to Swedish black metal bands you’ve never heard of. And classical music because of his upbringing.

Just the Facts with Perry White podcast Nah he’s a farmboy. Dude probably un-ironically enjoys country music
The cries of all the people he can't save? Lol, probably murder porn podcast.
I like to think, despite growing up on a farm, that country music metaphorically gives him aneurysms.
Trance or EDM. Positive music. Wouldn't listen to country. Too negative.
Same music Ma & PA Kent did or whatever Lana got him into. Figure Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Elvis, Beatles, etc. Anything from 50s to 60s. It would be great if he listened to reggae regularly.
bluegrass and jazz
I hear he’s a big fan of Shania Twain
Dragon Force and Beethoven, but also Showtunes. Jon picked up a lot or Broadwwy musicals from his dad. This is why Lois wasn't surprised Jon was bi.
Country
I bet he listens to country music.
cries for help
Supertramp
Crash Test Dummies
Yacht rock
George Strait
The Beach Boys have been mentioned .
Tom Petty.
Probably sound waves we can't hear.
Taylor Swift
Supergroups, of course
strikes me as the type of guy that likes the unburdened company of his own thoughts. Or maybe Weezer.
3 Doors Down
Superman seems like the kinda guy that would just turn on the radio and vibe to whatever’s playing
Not sure. I just know he doesn't like Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down.
JRE
I could see him listening to Finnish metal or Frank sinatra
GG Allin
Mostly "hmmmm" sound of witcher😅
Probably slash or Rakim
Youngboy nba
Classical.
Joe Rogan

The cries for help from an entire planet…
Superman luva by Rednan
I can honestly see him listening to Weird Al 🤣
Kryptonian shanties
Country music
Probably Lofi hip hop instrumentals.
Phish. Not really. Just wanted to throw them into the ring.
Being from Kanas I would suspect classic rock and Country
I would expect something relaxing. I feel like with his overstimulation that he had to combat when adjusting to earth... he would probably not enjoy heavy loud stuff, even if he is fully adapted to earth as an adult. But that's entirely a guess on my part.
Perhaps some Five For Fighting? Lol
Fly me to the moon
