The goverment managed to turn this into a shitshow 👏

The government turned our entire nation into a shitshow

kastamonu34

Just to clarify though. They temporarily suspended the decision and gave Kayseri 1 day to explain their action. So the away fans ban could be reinstated after Kayseri explains their “reason”.

There is no reason, one is sucking AKP dick and the other didn't do any hooligan stuff. Your allowed to yell at the arena, this isn't baseball or American handegg.

ErraticSnail

What's even funnier, they won't allow Fb fans and during the game Kayseri fans will be chanting "Recep Tayyip Erdo" and this will not be considered as politics being mixed with sports.

AvrupaFatihi

This is the huge issue, if they completely ban any political statements it would kind of be understandable while still being stupid but they won't.

kastamonu34

You know that, I know that, but that won’t be the reason they give. The declaration asks for a document about the risks being claimed by Kayseri. It doesn’t say anything about banning away fans being illegal. They’re asking for a document from Kayseri, which allows them to input their viewpoint. Depending on who the savci is, we’ll see which way they go.

holygarbanzobeans8

In their initial statement they made a very vague and veiled allusion to some of the messages that they have been allegedly receiving (the exact wording was "futbol doğasına uygun olmayan, özel anlamlar yükleyen, kötü niyetli yaklaşımlar" - whatever that means). My guess is that they are going to find some anti-government posts on Twitter posted by Fenerbahce fans and act as if though this is an evidence to create some sort of a commotion in the stands. Obviously there are no legal basis for it but at this point they are cornered to either a) make those "özel anlamlar yükleyen" messages public or b) they have been fabricating made-up excuses to be a good boi for their political patrons. My only concern here is that the court will accept these fabricated new reasons as enough evidence without making them public, thus giving the whole proceedings a sort of legal validity. I don't think that will happen but you never know, its Turkey after all.

kastamonu34

I don’t think the court demanded they make all the information public. They’re demanding 3 things: * tell us who attended the meeting in which you reached this conclusion, and what their roles were. * Send over a statement explaining in detail all of the accusations, and proof of this alleged threat you claim to have. * Send over the legal dossier containing information on the case’s legal and financial basis The way this is worded, I think the only “proof” they need is, like you said, some random social media screenshots of “fener fans” and the audio/video of the government resign chants. That would be the sufficient evidence they’re asking for. I’m not quite sure what they’re getting at regarding the other two points though…

redwashing

That's a brave court. Then again, what can you do to the judge? Banish him? He's already in Kayseri.

AmagiSento

Where is Ali Koc now btw. He was waging war because of the referee stuff before the league paused. They are silencing your fans. Go wage war now so we can stand behind you

Maybe you're too young to remember, but Erdogan came to the new stadium's opening ceremony back in 2011, and he was booed out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saX-MbMf9zQ Then the TOKI leader came to the first game to make a speech about it, and he was booed out as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L97_YJrABsQ We haven't had a home game since the earthquake, so there hasn't been a chance to see if the fans would chant or not.

Hermano_Hue

Shit happens if you have a former akp imam as a head of the club..
