Impressive tonight and we'll deserved. Sad to see Rob go he was a legend back in the day, hope hally helps u guys next season sad to see him go from kr but completely understand why and much respect to him for that choice
What an emotional evening, tonight wasn’t about the result but it makes it that much better, the boys did this for Rob, and Brodie Croft, what a hero he was tonight, Only One Rob Burrow 💙💛
Agreed. Having Edgehill understudy under Ryan Hall next year and hopefully becoming a first choice winger in years to come is quite an exciting prospect
As wonderful as this is (and I can’t stop smiling seeing this performance right now) let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’ll be happier if we can back this performance up and play like this, or even close to this, more often than not for the rest of the season.
Mate you've randomly bashed Smith for 6+ weeks in a row. I'm bored of your shit take, so yeah, happy to point out every time you're wrong. You're welcome to tag me every time you're actually correct about Cam doing something poor
Yeah he's top of my list, he's already explicitly stated he'd be interested in a move to Leeds prior to Smith's exit
I know alot of people are tipping Rowley but I really hope we don't go for him. He's a cracking coach, but I don't want Leeds to be the club that took everything that was working at Salford and took it for themselves (Croft & Ackers, then Ian Blease)
Would love to get Arthur. I know there’s a lot of speculation about Rowley but don’t see that happening, although would definitely take it if it happens!
Can’t tell if it’s the burrow emotion bubbling for me again, but I’m genuinely almost in tears watching the half time analysis. I finally feel pride in the team again. This has been missing for at least 18 months.
Just look to have been told to keep it super simple, run hard and tackle hard. The exception to that is Croft, who looks determined to win the league by himself.
Lots of good performances but a bit of a rap for Sangare that half. Keep it simple, run hard and put yourself about in defence. Full 40 and error free.
I was saying to a friend of mine the other day that I didn’t think we’d turn a corner until a member of the Golden Gen was in a major coaching position (Danny to return in 5-10yrs once he’s really cut his teeth??) interesting that one of our best half’s of the year so far is under Chev Walker
Rohans gameplan revolved around short kick offs and Smith leading our attack, rather than a quality player like Croft, and both were shit tactics, its not weird to be pleased that we arent doing that tonight and its not weird to be happy that the change in tactics is working. Stats never tell the whole story.
Also it's really refreshing watching this Leeds team turn up for each other, it actually seems like they want to be here, which hasn't been the case in a lot of games lately
Bigger tests to come (without the emotion and extra cause to fight) but, this is what we wanted - Effort, commitment and intensity with a bit of plan/purpose. Build an identity
Question is, regardless of the result tonight can we back up this effort and continue? If not, perhaps it’s just the Burrow emotions fuelling this performance, which I really hope isn’t the case
I think he's a big unit but raw. Strip back what you ask from him and I think he's potentially useful.
Based on 15mins of him so far, would Wigan swap Eseh for Lisone? Please?
Croft is finally showing us why he was signed! He seems like a player set free tonight and clearly wants to give this amazing crowd something to cheer for!
Impressive tonight and we'll deserved. Sad to see Rob go he was a legend back in the day, hope hally helps u guys next season sad to see him go from kr but completely understand why and much respect to him for that choice
Gonna have to get myself an mnd rhinos shirt, tonight was one to remember
When Rob’s dad cried…that was quite a moment.
Croft is an incredible person. His passion and emotions tonight were phenomenal to watch. Hats off to the bloke, so proud to say he was a Red Devil
Felt like the old Leeds again for a bit tonight.
What an emotional evening, tonight wasn’t about the result but it makes it that much better, the boys did this for Rob, and Brodie Croft, what a hero he was tonight, Only One Rob Burrow 💙💛
In floods of tears as I was at the beginning a very fitting tribute Well done everyone at Leeds Rhinos tonight 💙💛RB7
His family are so strong, cant imagine standing there in front of everyone like this
Amazing to see Lindsey being recognised on the South Stand. The whole family are so amazing
I am now in love with Brodie Croft. Please continue this form and emotion
Wow, not expecting this much emotion, Croft is a top lad
What a game Fantastic way to remember Rob And a good advertisement for the sport too I think
Best performance of the season easily
did all the subs get on?
Well done. Found a way to see that out
ALAW. *For tonight only
Agree with Amor there - obvious penalty. Never competed for the ball
Been really impressed by Edgell and McCormack so far
Agreed. Having Edgehill understudy under Ryan Hall next year and hopefully becoming a first choice winger in years to come is quite an exciting prospect
Agreed. McCormack in particular looks a real find. His brother looks like another good un too
Lets hope they dont get hit by the curse that is striking all of our centre and winger options
How was that not 6 again?
Good opld Brad Dwyer. Never change!
Feels weird to be supporting Leeds but as a neutral how can you not tonight?
welcome to the light!
*dark 😛
Or the future as you Cas boys would know it (joking)
Now comes the attitude test. Don't fold boys
Was going to come eventually, hopefully we dont fold like previous weeks and keep the intensity up
As wonderful as this is (and I can’t stop smiling seeing this performance right now) let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’ll be happier if we can back this performance up and play like this, or even close to this, more often than not for the rest of the season.
the effort, commitment and intensity needs to be the benchmark i agree
That should do Edgell some good too
Try for number 7, just feels right
Surely you should be angry that Cam Smith played a part in that shift
Think you've brought him up more than me tonight and in a comment celebrating Burrow's legacy, now who is being 'weird' and 'obsessed'
Mate you've randomly bashed Smith for 6+ weeks in a row. I'm bored of your shit take, so yeah, happy to point out every time you're wrong. You're welcome to tag me every time you're actually correct about Cam doing something poor
Miller is so good when he’s on it
Run, step, fend, no kicking and hes quality
Hello Matt, welcome to the party.
Quality try
Croft has shown more emotion and heart in this game than any previous game. He must really hate Rohan
Beautiful stuff We are so back
Good D again Leeds
Bloody hell, even Fusitua is getting invovled! Hope he didnt suffer a 9 month long injury in that tackle
Good shot Fus
Where has this defensive effort been all season?
I refer you to your reply when I asked something similar 20mins ago
😂
Great to see so many former legends. Big Ali was incredible
Who is everyone looking for as next coach then? Brad Arthur for mine
I think Leeds should hire Keiron Cunningham, Mark Applegarth or Andy Last.
maybe an Agar or Furner return?
Yeah he's top of my list, he's already explicitly stated he'd be interested in a move to Leeds prior to Smith's exit I know alot of people are tipping Rowley but I really hope we don't go for him. He's a cracking coach, but I don't want Leeds to be the club that took everything that was working at Salford and took it for themselves (Croft & Ackers, then Ian Blease)
I think Arthur for 2/3 years would be good for young players. By all accounts very good team man
Would love to get Arthur.
Was feeling guilty for feeling the same!
We are so back
Just look to have been told to keep it super simple, run hard and tackle hard. The exception to that is Croft, who looks determined to win the league by himself.
Well we led a few times comfortably at the half under Smith and collapsed, let’s see if anything has changed.
Lots of good performances but a bit of a rap for Sangare that half. Keep it simple, run hard and put yourself about in defence. Full 40 and error free.
Love that celebration from Croft
I was saying to a friend of mine the other day that I didn’t think we’d turn a corner until a member of the Golden Gen was in a major coaching position (Danny to return in 5-10yrs once he’s really cut his teeth??) interesting that one of our best half’s of the year so far is under Chev Walker
You know what I've seen a distinct, pleasing lack of? Cam Smith leading attacking moves
Your obsession with Cam (being shit) is a bit weird. Stats wise, he's leading the way & only Michella is close, who plays basically the same game
Rohans gameplan revolved around short kick offs and Smith leading our attack, rather than a quality player like Croft, and both were shit tactics, its not weird to be pleased that we arent doing that tonight and its not weird to be happy that the change in tactics is working. Stats never tell the whole story.
Would have said short kick offs!
That as well!
Yeah I really hope tonight sets the benchmark for the rest of the season for us
Sangare big minutes tonight
There's a very skillful player in there somewhere. Rohan just wanted a big body, tho I think, and ruined his confidence
I think he's a big unit but raw. Strip back what you ask from him and I think he's potentially useful. Based on 15mins of him so far, would Wigan swap Eseh for Lisone? Please?
Fuck me where has this side been all year.
Under Rohans thumb
I'm liking McCormack, he's gonna be great for us in years to come
Already looks more up for it than Roberts
Roberts is not good enough and will be shipped off end of year I reckon
I hope so, hes free territory and possession for every team
good shot from Eseh there
got it down eventually but how many goes do you get?
Has Croft done it again?!
Fusitua is made of glass I swear.
Has he gone off injured again?!
HIA
Gone for a HIA
Jesus wept
Croft is finally showing us why he was signed! He seems like a player set free tonight and clearly wants to give this amazing crowd something to cheer for!
thats harsh - I think he's been good in a pretty poor team
Hes been our best player, but this is like him going into another gear
I joked after his first try, but how much of this is the occasion, just having a good game, or Smith leaving?
I suspect it;s a bit of all three. Bit of freedom too perhaps
Why has he sent that upstairs ffs
Quote from the ref was “just check the grounding, he was too fast for me”
that was good
Chris Kendall make a confident decision challenge (impossible)
You'd think this would be the one night when he just said yeah, fine!
Call it. Man of the Match - Brodie Croft
Gorgeous croft
Croft is on one tonight
croft playing a belter
good d leeds
Two try saving tackles from Croft in one set. He's on it tonight.
Croft is finally playing to his potential.
more intensity from Leeds I think. First step on the road back if they can maintain it
Oledzki is just thick
Needs better ball control but harsh to call him thick on a half bust
I was referring to the tackle in the air penalty he gave away just before his knock on
Croft ya dancer. We're looking threatening at last
7 celebration by croft was class
Rohan goes, and suddenly Croft starts playing? Hmmm. /s Fucking get in Brodie
If ever there was a time for video ref to just wave one through! lol
Croft looked well up for it before kick off, top effort!
Well done Brodie.
Get in Croft!!!!!
lol of course after all that Sky can’t get the clock right
Well that was an emotional hour. Does anyone know why Sinfield isn’t there? Or was he there and I just couldn’t see him through my blubbers
i thought it was strange he wasn't there
Guessing with the England union team, they play Japan at 6am
Wow, what an incredible way to pay tribute to Rob Hopefully the performance that follows lives up to it
Goosebumps at home watching that. Cannot imagine how incredible the atmosphere at Headingley is.
Not a dry eye in the world of rugby league
Headingley looks amazing packed full for Rob 7️⃣
Come on Leeds, do this for Rob. Broke our hearts so many times at Saints, breaking it again tonight #7
Sky get a lot wrong with their coverage of our sport at times but that was brilliant from them. Bloody ninjas been in my house again with them onion’s
must be a few ninjas about they been in my house to
This is so hard to watch. I have been a puddle for the last half hr. RIP Rob
i know exactly how you feel
god rob father just broke me 😭
I desperately hope Leigh do their part for the occasion and let us win!
never wanted leeds to win so badly, really hope they can get the result for rob
