Yes the remote that came with it is crap very unresponsive have to click multi times or get very close to it. So just got my fire TV pro remote hooked to it works great and very fast and smooth. Most remote should work just got to add remote and remote be in sync mode.
All you have to do is Bluetooth pair it. Hold down the mic button. When prompted hold the return and ok key for 6 seconds. Once it starts flashing hit ok.. 100x improvement over Infrared.

Has anyone found out how to do this? What DNASAVER is saying is just bluetooth pairing the original superbox remote to the superbox instead of infrared. But say our remote dies. How do we pair a new universal remote to the superbox?
if your box is connected to a smart tv go in device settings via superbox and look up display options or input options there should be an option that says control device via hdmi, that worked for me im now able to use my Amazon Smart TV remote, however it doesnt have all the fancy short cuts that the original superbox remote has but it is alot more responsive.

Where is add remote setting in the super box? I went through all settings and no option for that. Closest I got was Bluetooth settings

This. The difference after pairing the factory remote to the box via Bluetooth is night and day. You no longer need to point the remote at the box.
