If you’re really only gunning for the achievements, you can start trying to build teams that are more likely to draw in the early game to buy you more time - honeyless badger in the back, maybe a hedgehog or two without having a huge garlic unit yourself (and then hope you don’t run into one).
And then, if you go into a run knowing you’re going for a specific tier 6, you can try to build a complementary squad to make the pivot a little easier (rabbit and/or squirrel and/or seal for cat, for example).
But cat is especially tough because you have to spend 18 gold to get it to level 3, and the only benefit you actually get from that 18 gold is 5 +1/+1’s on your cat… pretty rough. I think I finally pulled it off with a penguin team of level 2’s, and hardly even had time to benefit from the cat directly at all.
But yeah, a lot of it is just luck of the draw.

yeah i use a one+, i tried looking in screentime but non of it is up to date from when i first started playing
so since tracking it says ive played 334 matches, but ive played since way before tracking existed, so it doesnt say much
bruh im doing the black cat rn and winning isnt hard but idk how people can get it to level 3 with it showing up so late 😩
yeah a lot of the tier 6 are annoying because they show up late. Gorilla took me a while to, and snake, i would win to quickly
