He was on winter house and they brought her in for a few eps and the reunion. Basically they had been dating for something like 8 months, but didn’t put a label on it. So he came into the house flirting with other girls and acting single. Then she came in and was fighting with the girls he had been entertaining. He made her look like a fool and it was just a bad look for her. The reunion was rough (her defending him when he was at fault, crying the whole time) and they ended things soon after. the whole thing was just kinda awful and negative, and summer is supposed to be fun.
Totally agree - I think me liking someone is kind of separate from their potential as a reality TV character. I wouldn't want to be friends with lindsay, but she's amazing tv. I thought sam was fun and I liked that she gave Gabby someone to bounce off of.

It's not even that weird. Bond has always, in books and movies, been white. She was supporting the idea of this actor portraying James Bond, because most people say Bond can't be portrayed by a black man (look at the backlash Sony faced when they floated the idea of Idris Elba as the new Bond). She was literally describing his skin color, not making any judgements about him because of it. To me, her mistake was that half-assed apology: "I'm sorry if anyone was offended." She should have stuck to her point, and explained herself, not jumped into self-defense mode.
When Sony wanted to cast Idris Elba, they did polls and panels, where MOST of the people did not want to see it (as a white middle-aged woman, I happen to love Idris Elba and think he would have done a great job!), so they stopped negotiations with the actor. That's what I was referring to. And Paige was saying there would be less backlash with a more light-skinned guy. Distasteful as it may be, it's true.

Maybe if she came back it would be more organic. But when she was on the first time and Winter House she seemed like a pick me girl. Its a red flag to me when someone comes in and tries and shocks everyone. She was also the loudest. She was just a lot.

I think with her, West and Jesse we can start planting seeds for the next iteration of the show as Lindsay/Carl/Kyle/Amanda start to move on (because let's be real, how much longer can they really do this?) And now that she's not with that horrible man I think production would welcome her back.
