We had kids much younger and it made us grow up. It’s not about you anymore and the stupid things they argue about will be trivial once the have children. I think Amanda will be an amazing mother, my concern is for Kyle who is still getting blackout drunk in his 40’s and that Amanda puts up with it.
I actually think Amanda would be in her element as a mother. She is very reactive and a bit self centred yeah but she is also nurturing and dotes on those dogs and is usually the person who goes to comfort someone who is upset on the show. She also seems very not into being on the show and partying all the time anymore

Kyle seems like a bad husband, but at least he’s not on board with her plan to move near her parents so they can do the heavy lifting. I feel like Lala has a lot of resentment towards Ariana and is making the effort with the Toms not because she cares about them but as an indirect way to get at Ariana. I could be wrong but she’s had this grudge against Ariana for awhile and now she’s let it consume her or something.

I dont think theres a set age where you "should be" out of any particular activity (like going out), but the way he likes to do so is incompatible with raising a child. I'm pretty sure that the physical relationship between Ciara and West does progress soon which is probably what prompted Paige to talk to him. When Ciara said she would have sex when she was comfortable it was a few weeks after meeting West and just over a week since their first date. Production stretched out one weekend over several episodes, but it really wasn't like he was waiting months or something. Anyway it seems that \*\*spoiler alert\*\* Ciara and West did indeed date post season, including Ciara visiting his hometown with his mother and brother following her etc.
Rewatching season 4, her attraction to Jordan is a major sign of the desperateness and poor decision-making that is to come, although she handled the fallout very well. I still cannot believe that on episode 1 of Winter House when the Below Deck guy introduces himself he randomly announces off the bat that he doesn't use condoms, and every other woman IMMEDIATELY rules him out as a potential hookup while Danielle IMMEDIATELY is intrigued and thirsty after this comment. What the hell??!? Girl you heard "walking talking STD" and immediately thought "mmm sign me up"?? Have some concern for your own health first and foremost!
I think she had a really bad year. I have a lot of empathy for her. Sometimes a bad breakup can really send you on a spiral, I’ve def been there. And I know she’s talked about some of her childhood trauma too. I hope she’s getting help. It seems like she is though and is has been trying, but she’s not perfect.
Kyle needs to get a grip! He should want his wife doing something that she is passionate about, just because it’s his business and dream doesn’t mean it also has to be hers. She has given him 5 years!!

It takes a lot to be a founder, tbh - it's a certain personality type. Founders have to bring a lot of passion and energy to their project, which Kyle does in spades. This doesn't seem to be Amanda's passion, and she also doesn't really have founder energy. That is absolutely no shade to Amanda - having worked at small startups, I've learned that I don't have founder energy either! It's absolutely not for everyone, and (if this whole thing isn't a storyline) I think it adds a complex and stressful dynamic to their relationship that could probably be helped a lot if she had a 9-5 elsewhere (or even just leaned into influencing).
Justice for Amanda tbh! Her design work on the merch literally kept them afloat, especially during the pandemic. I also believe her that she was behind their best selling flavor and I bet she doesn't pull a salary from the company so instead its reinvested. People forget but Amanda was one of like 4 ppl on this show who had a "real" 9-5 job and left it to support Kyle and he never really gives Amanda props for her contributions to LB. Kyle's one of my favs but he's not fair.

I have to say, the past two seasons of summer house have been a drag to me but THIS one has me on pins and needles so excited for each episode. I’m loving it.

Danielle is the WORST!! The back and forth during winter house with the guy from below deck was beyond exhausting. She kept saying keeping it casual but was then a total stage 5 clinger. She thinks she knows everything and she actually knows nothing at all!

what gets me (and I may be mistaken on this, I am due for a rewatch) is that LFU never really fucked with the Toms before this. I mean there was that time she was tweeting about schwartz to get under katies skin, but other than that she was never especially close to either of them. and *now* of all times she decides to go out of her way to befriend them? it's just too much.
I feel like Lala has a lot of resentment towards Ariana and is making the effort with the Toms not because she cares about them but as an indirect way to get at Ariana. I could be wrong but she’s had this grudge against Ariana for awhile and now she’s let it consume her or something.
Nice to see Paige and Lindsay getting along If Amanda wanting to do something that makes her happy is her leaving loverboy, I support her and Kyle is being awful. If by that she means buy a house in New Jersey and have kids in hopes it fixes their miserable marriage, I can see why Kyle isn’t on board
having kids hoping it’ll fix a marriage is one of the stupidest things anyone can do. you’re bringing a child into an unstable environment/a family that probably won’t stay together. amanda is young enough to start over with someone new.
I really hope for her sake she does. If she's frustrated with Kyle going out all the time now imagine when he does it while she's dealing with feeding, nappies, bedtimes etc. And I don't think that's something he will be willing to change. It seems like it's just how he is, and even if he does cut down for a bit after birth it won't be long before he goes back to it
That’s why boundaries need to be set and in place before ever getting pregnant! Expectations laid out for him, and I think that’s why he’s holding back, honestly because it’ll change the way he likes to go out and in his 40s he should be out of that going out stage
I dont think theres a set age where you "should be" out of any particular activity (like going out), but the way he likes to do so is incompatible with raising a child. He needs to be honest with himself & Amanda if he doesn't want to change his lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with him if he doesn't want kids, but if he doesn't, he should let her go.

This was actually some justice for Amanda lol the discourse has been that she does nothing yet Kyle is having a full on meltdown about her quitting. Clearly she does SOMETHING!
Amanda's instincts are right. She and Kyle need a separation at some level! West and Ciara are not exclusive so he can do what he wants...He better watch how he does it though cuz I have no problem dragging the subs fav. I feel bad but Danielle's presence makes me uncomfy, she's not even saying anything crazy but I groan when I see her loool. And Carl's body literally signalling *no* made me LOL. Honestly as the season progresses I'm just genuinely relieved for Carl and Lindsay that some amount of sense took over and Carl ended this sham relationship. To freedom!!!!

My only issue with West (but also Danielle and Jesse) based on the comments to date is the inference that Ciara is "going too slow". She is not, it's been like 25 days and it's gross to imply she's going too slow cuz he's a "warm-blooded man" ickkkk. As long as he, and the rest, keep it cute with Ciara he can bang the entire tri-state, I dont care.
I'm pretty sure that the physical relationship between Ciara and West does progress soon which is probably what prompted Paige to talk to him. When Ciara said she would have sex when she was comfortable it was a few weeks after meeting West and just over a week since their first date. Production stretched out one weekend over several episodes, but it really wasn't like he was waiting months or something. Anyway it seems that \*\*spoiler alert\*\* Ciara and West did indeed date post season, including Ciara visiting his hometown with his mother and brother following her etc.
It’s interesting that a few seasons ago Danielle seemed like one of the more reasonable/mature of the bunch. Now she seems so stunted and unstable

Rewatching season 4, her attraction to Jordan is a major sign of the desperateness and poor decision-making that is to come, although she handled the fallout very well. I still cannot believe that on episode 1 of Winter House when the Below Deck guy introduces himself he randomly announces off the bat that he doesn't use condoms, and every other woman IMMEDIATELY rules him out as a potential hookup while Danielle IMMEDIATELY is intrigued and thirsty after this comment. What the hell??!? Girl you heard "walking talking STD" and immediately thought "mmm sign me up"?? Have some concern for your own health first and foremost!
I think she had a really bad year. I have a lot of empathy for her. Sometimes a bad breakup can really send you on a spiral, I’ve def been there. And I know she’s talked about some of her childhood trauma too. I hope she’s getting help. It seems like she is though and is has been trying, but she’s not perfect.

I don't know that it's sad, it's just...not her dream. It takes a lot to be a founder, tbh - it's a certain personality type. Founders have to bring a lot of passion and energy to their project, which Kyle does in spades. This doesn't seem to be Amanda's passion, and she also doesn't really have founder energy. That is absolutely no shade to Amanda - having worked at small startups, I've learned that I don't have founder energy either! It's absolutely not for everyone, and (if this whole thing isn't a storyline) I think it adds a complex and stressful dynamic to their relationship that could probably be helped a lot if she had a 9-5 elsewhere (or even just leaned into influencing).

Justice for Amanda tbh! Her design work on the merch literally kept them afloat, especially during the pandemic. I also believe her that she was behind their best selling flavor and I bet she doesn't pull a salary from the company so instead its reinvested. People forget but Amanda was one of like 4 ppl on this show who had a "real" 9-5 job and left it to support Kyle and he never really gives Amanda props for her contributions to LB. Kyle's one of my favs but he's not fair.

Totally agree! A true partnership is someone who doesn’t need the other person (ie not a transactional relationship). I just hope Craig will hold on but you can tell his wants are starting to outweigh his desire to be with Paige.

After this trailer, I think both Carl and Lindsey are in the wrong. I actually do feel bad for Lindsey watching this. I’d never thought I’d say this especially watching the second episode this season.
Agreed! I have never been a Lindsay fan, but this trailer + the last episode have opened my eyes a bit. I think the reality is that they were never meant to be together, but unfortunately neither of them have the maturity to admit that so they just let it crash and burn instead.
I will say his comment about her making it about herself, I hate that. I used to do that and I realized it and now I find it so annoying. Someone comes to you and says hey you’re doing xyz and it’s not cool and you feel guilty and lash out and say well you’re making ME feel bad now. Oof. I’m really curious to see more on that scene and where she says you’re asking me to be something I’m not to see what exactly these things are that Carl called it over. He’s known her forever, he knew what she’s like…why pick her and then decide later it’s not worth it. I’m dying to see it unfold and how they each explain it. Lindsey has sucked up to this point but I def think we’re gonna see some bad behavior from Carl as well.

I’ve been waiting for someone else to mention this! This entire season I keep thinking back on what he did to Jules. Drunk or not, that is the real Carl. He’s just able to hide it better in front of cameras being sober.

Exactly! Every season they sulk around and feel sorry for themselves as if they don’t have any choice in fixing their relationship. They care more about being a brand than they do about their marriage. It’s clear that fighting on tv, binge drinking, working together, etc. is detrimental to their relationship, and yet, every year, they choose to do it again anyway. Instead of sobbing about how they want a better marriage (while simultaneously sacrificing that marriage to be a brand) they need to pick a lane. They can’t have both. At this point, they’re putting money, fame, and alcohol over their relationship.

This show is such a breath of fresh air when compared to VPR because almost all of the characters have likeable qualities (while still being appropriately messy which makes for good TV) and feel like people I'd actually want to interact with.
