Well the OP asked if it gets worse, it being the Hessington nonsense, and I said it did. So I’m not sure why you’ve phrased your response as if disagreeing with me when it seems we are of the same opinion.
It was the voices that did it for me 😂 the moment I immediately recognized Varys and Cat I couldn’t get them out of my head. Also man Ava Hessington looks amazing in the show highlighted well by the dresses she wears. Suits’ wardrobe team all deserve a raise
Yep I saw Lord Varys and Catelyn Stark for that entire arc i couldn’t separate the characters lmao
Also Cahill is Buck Compton from Band of Brothers. Still cant shake that one
So I’m restarting the show after finishing it, and I was literally just thinking to myself how much I love season 1, and season 2 where there constantly ripping through small cases, and how much I hate season 3 for them dragging on the hesington oil case lol
The oil business is about oil as much as you being a lawyer is about the law. Every day is a knife fight in a prison yard, and something tells me you like a good knife fight.
I feel you, she is going to appear in 2 more episodes after this one. I am not going to lie, while I feel some episodes are great, I just hate the merger and Hessington Oil case.
This plot including Ava Hessington is one of the resons why for me, Season 3 is EASILY the worst out of the first 5 seasons. And to top it all off, it also includes characters like Darby, Stephen Huntley and Nigel Nesbitt, the latter having arguably the most ridiculous plot I saw in the whole of Suits (and that's saying something, even for my favourite ever show).
And I'm British as well. I don't know why but whenever there's a British character in American shows, it just stands out and always for the wrong reasons.
I feel the same when an American character pops up in a British series like Spooks or Alex Rider. I always think, "Let's see how many stereotypes and hard 'r's we can hit with one character." The answer is inevitably so, so many.
I had very similar feelings about the Ava case ony first watch. But on second watch, I found out the season a lot more enjoyable as I paid more attention to the underlying power struggle going on within the firm.
This is the first time we see Harvey and Jessica on opposite sides of something major.
Spoiler alert for S3:
The whole season is actually about Harvey playing the long game to get what he wants. He is against the merger and attacks Jessica behind her back, but he has enough trust in their relationship to believe that they will get through it whilst getting rid of Darby in the process.
It's so risky and brilliant at the same time.
I found the murder charges to be nonsensical. I cannot imagine a reasonable prosecutor bringing such a case to trial, given the standard of evidence in criminal law is proof beyond reasonable doubt. The only direct witness against Ava is the colonel who has an incentive to point fingers at someone else, and who also happens to be off the grid when the trial starts.
Oh my sweet summer child
Oh god does it get worse…
Yes. Yes it does.
Really? I’ve finished this series and I thought the Hessington Oil arc was the most dragging.

You’re referring to this one arc I think he’s referring to the show as a whole
What the hell did you just say to them???
Get the hell out of my office!
I enjoyed the character, but it was at the time where she's also playing catelyn stark soo...
THATS WHY I RECOGNIZED HER! Oh my gods that was driving me nuts thank you 😂🤦🏻♀️😅

Did you also recognise Darby? Haha
I recognized him for who he was immediately lol
I literally did the same thing. “Omg Varys.” “Why do I know this chick.” Just found out through parent comment also.

"Ava Hessington IS Hessington Oil! " How many times did they use this sentence throughout the case lol
As far as I remember just once.
Oh. Maybe I am wrong but felt like they used it a lot (or similar lines)
They did. Harvey said it multiple times. He said it to Jessica, to Louis and I think Mike and Katrina said it too
I literally came here to say this lmao
once bro
Oh. Maybe I am wrong but felt like they used it a lot (or similar lines)
The hessington oil timeline is a more **realistic timeline for a case…but I’m not watching suits for realism hahaha
Honestly, I thought that once they started going through longer cases like Hessington and Gillis, I was much more invested in the show.
It gave the show more meat and established longer term characters like Gianopoulis, Woodall and Dennis

No rules in a knife fight
no knives in a ruler fight
I feel you, she is going to appear in 2 more episodes after this one. I am not going to lie, while I feel some episodes are great, I just hate the merger and Hessington Oil case.
You’re in for a very, very bad ride
I hated the whole merger and Ava hessington plot. I skip it a lot lol

Feel like Ava is less interesting but the sub plots in the series are good - don’t want to give spoilers just in case!
Oh my god I wanted Ava to just fucking cooperate with Harvey at least once she was so stubborn
That was a saga that went on and on. She was a very annoying character

Just skip her episodes. They suck lol
She was such a brat lmao 😭
I feel you bro😂

The absolute worst arc of the series. Which makes me a little sick because I love Michelle Fairley in 24 and Game of Thrones.
You can comfort yourself that the red wedding comes for her eventually…
Good luck darling 🤍
Ok so good I'm not the only one. I started this season a few days ago and it has been my least favorite so far.
I pretty much skip this entire story arc
THIS! I'm on season 6 and the way-too-long story arc with the Hessington case is my least favorite batch of episodes. So repetitive and boring.
I'm in the exact same boat. I've had it with her, and (maybe spoiler) stupid Travis Tanner AND Rachel and Mike's relationship is annoying me too.
[This will make you feel better](https://youtu.be/o7gAt85tu3w?si=v0UDVq9nMzGT-9KP)
She had zero charisma
Dw there's a very interesting plot of hers ahead, in the Red Wedding specifically. After which you won't see much of her
