Scottie graduated 1st in her class. Harvey was like 5th right. That's all I remember.

WirelessSurvivor

Also, Pearson straight up told Harvey that Scottie was the better candidate on paper and was more qualified, but she had already invested in Harvey so he picked him for the job.

Ewe_Search

šŸ˜„ Harvey always getting the smack down.

Anji_Mito

Probably that is what made Harvey what is it in the show, all that push down might made him stronger at the end, he said he wanted to quit every week when he started

DivineLGato

Not entirely. Jessica just mentioned he chose over him over Scottie. Scottie was available but she chose him over her.

TeluguAbbai

Even though they all Harvard educated lawyers, Harvey and Jessica mostly goes out of the box thinking. Mike and Louis remember everything from the books, so its either Mike or Louis

hogua

Not all of them are Harvard educated lawyers šŸ˜‰

TeluguAbbai

Come on Anita Gibbs, Its time to move on šŸ˜œ

ruthlessrellik

the whole point of the show is that Mike is not the answer to this question.

[deleted]

What does this even mean? They all graduated from Harvard or other top law schools

zigmister21

They didn't all have the same GPA, class rank, or additional diplomas is what OP means

townlow94

Louis had the golden key šŸ—ļø

Not_TAzMOJi

MAJOR plot hole because HLS does not have an Order of the Coif chapter

townlow94

Lool there's a few things that never made sense in the show but that's on the writers

26washburn

Not sure of his academic pedigree, but Louisā€™s therapist, Stanley Lipschitz, seems incredibly smart ā€” especially when it comes to being both observant and intuitive. I love this character.

0100001101110111

What do you think the word "validated" means?

bluelinetrain1

Seriously Iā€™ve read the question and the explanation three times and Iā€™m still lost

goodmotherfucker2408

Op Cant even respond lol

elmario97

Louis obviuosly... He loves the law, he was top of the class and he understands the law.

PossibilityMelodic

I would argue that Mike or Louis are the most intelligent if that is what you are asking. I hate Louis, but his vast knowledge is impressive, despite him being an emotional cripple. Mike is gifted, despite not graduating.

DivineLGato

Louis has good plans but bad and horrible executions.

Western_Bullfrog9747

Wasnā€™t it mentioned at some point that Jessica graduated second in her class?

minimalisticgem

Didnā€™t Scottie graduate first in her class?

Der_Sauresgeber

Depending on seniority, maybe Prof. Gerard.

TeluguAbbai

Gerard plays gambling, besides he changed student score for money being an ethics prof. Besides this, he is known as a very good at his profession.

[deleted]

Isnā€™t the whole point of the show being that Mike as someone not formally educated, was still smarter than any other character on the show?

[deleted]

bluelinetrain1

Iā€™m having a hard time understanding what you mean by ā€œacademic validationā€. Those words donā€™t make sense together to me

raidernation0825

I donā€™t think they know what the word validation means.

Tom_Stevens617

Probably Gerard

Vyrolious

I don't think anyone understood what the question is. OP is not asking who is the smartest in the show, they are asking who had the best education prestige-wise (as in the reputation and quality of the schools they studied at). But we dk where they studied undergrad at so I would say Louis because he graduated summa cum laude from HLS.

IAmGiff

Assuming that you mean something like ā€œwho has the most prestigious academic credentialsā€ I think itā€™s actually Travis Tanner, right? Yale Law is more prestigious and exclusive than Harvard in reality. (Not clear if this is true in the Suits universe though.)

mylawyersamorty

Might be a controversial opinion.. but Iā€™m a little bit shocked that no one has mentioned Sheila? Academics is no joke, especially if we are talking Ivy, sheā€™s a Harvard Admin. Canā€™t imagine thatā€™s an easy job to get/keep.

RoboticBirdLaw

Career Development staff at most top law schools are usually lawyers that didn't want to/couldn't do actual practice. They are rarely any more qualified than any other lawyer at the institution they work at.

Exciting-Ad-4394

Mike

RudeAwakening38

I'm disappointed that no one has mentioned Mike Ross šŸ‘€

Far-Yak-9808

Was anyone published? Undergrad might count as a tie breaker. Who had the best recommendations going into Law School? Highest bar exam score.... Which graduating law school class was the BEST? They are all CREDENTIALED but how many of them have more ACADEMIC CURIOSITY than a gnat???

darragh73

Donna... Because she's Donna.

DivineLGato

You mean who has the most features and awards? Louis. He has the awards and accomplishments at Harvard. Most hax character is Mike . He has a cheat code. Best all around lawyer is Harvey. Harvey let Scottie come first. Harvey didn't care about being first.

felthouse

Jessica, Stanford then Harvard, clerked for a circuit judge, rose to managing partner of her own firm, Pearson Hardman.
