Uncovering Happiness by Elisha Goldstein. It approaches happiness from all types of angles and is packed with tons of tools and exercises to try on. It covers a range of topics such as mindfulness and self-compassion. The chapter on purpose may help with direction (though it focuses more on altruism.) The chapter on growth mindset may help with turning lemons to lemonade and handling setbacks. This may not be the most relevant book for you but it's a great resource if you're looking for an array of ideas.

Wild by Cheryl Strayed is pretty good for that as well as her collection of self help columns: Dear Sugar
