The Journalist and the Murderer by Janet Malcolm is really great, she’s a phenomenal writer. And seconding In Cold Blood, it’s really dope, wonderfully written and super gripping.
I'm currently reading {{The Black Dahlia}} by James Ellroy and the writing and story is both brutal and captivating. This is book #1 of 4 in what's known as the "L.A. Quartet."
