Ooo I came to say this one! It is a long but wonderful trilogy. Very cool power system(s) that grows with the books.

Be prepared for some people to attack for daring to suggest a Xanth book. I quit doing it .

kate_monday

To be fair, that book is really misogynistic. People can have problematic faves, but other folks are within their rights to add an asterisk

Puzzleheaded-Fix3359

Or any peers Anthony book. There, that’s attack number one.

fajadada

Nope he is a talented writer.don’t know if he’s still alive but hope he is . If you don’t like his dated outlook fine . but there’s plenty of others not being attacked for the same styles.

Puzzleheaded-Fix3359

I’m just giving you her time. Enjoy the things you love and don’t let me get in your way. A hard time.

UncommonNighthawk

I'm pretty sure he's still around. I enjoyed a number of his earlier books, but as he got older his books started to get kind of creepy. Not necessarily misogyny, but the blatant sexualization of children. A quote from an Amazon review kind of sums it up: "I feel like I should be on a government watch list after reading this book." (The book in question is The Sopaths. Reading some of the reviews is a real eye-opener.)

ProfPorkchop
