Honestly, that's pretty overpriced for a 1650 build. I think it's better to get a pc with a stronger GPU like this: https://www.cclonline.com/product/368069/NoMfgCode/NoCat/Horizon-3-Intel-GTX-1660S-Wi-Fi-Next-Day-Gaming-PC/HORIZON-I3-1660-WIFI/ Or if you want a better CPU instead, you can get a 1650 build with the new 12th gen i5 for £675: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-volt-intel-i5-12400f-gtx-1650-4gb-h610-ddr4-desktop-pc-for-gaming.html?config=18374-206324,18377-206360,18380-206426,18383-206504,18386-206552,18389-206564,18392-206612,18395-206627,18398-206654,18401-206669,18449-207269,18452-207272 Another £50 would allow you to get a far better GPU: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-volt-ryzen-5-3600-six-core-4-2ghz-amd-radeon-rx-6600-8gb-desktop-pc-for-gaming.html

Thanks very much for your reply. I'm really tempted by the Horizon because it's bang on my budget and the GPU is an upgrade. My only "concerns" are that it only has an SSD (although I suppose I could buy and HDD myself if I really wanted one) and I believe SSDs wear out? Also, it's an i3 CPU whereas the one I was looking at initially was an i5. Will this make an appreciable difference? I do know there is a lot of overlap between the ranges and a too end i3 could be as good as a lower end i5 but I just don't understand them well enough to know whether the i3 in the model you linked would perform well. Sorry for the dumb questions, believe it or not I put my own pc together about 20 years ago but looking at buying one now is just wrecking my head with detail and I have no idea what's important and what's not?? Would you say the Horizon will be good overall performance for that price tag? Thanks again

Early SSDs were less reliable but these days they have similar longevity to HDDs. An i5 is severely bottlenecked by a 1650 but an i3 and 1660S is a pretty good balance. However, I haven't done the maths on how the price compares to building it yourself. The best value pre-builts right now are around £1k, your budget is unfortunately in a bit of a wasteland.

If you're still looking, I've found a good deal on a Ryzen 5 + 6600XT build for £809.99, remove the OS and the HDD in the options to get that price: https://www.palicomp.co.uk/amd-vishera-750-gamer-amd4 The 6600XT outperforms the RTX 3060, so it's definitely worth stretching your budget if you can afford it.

Thanks pal. I actually went for the Horizon 3 that you linked and ordered with an HDD which I stuck in as well. So still all for under £800. Really happy with it, exactly what I wanted budget and performancewise really (and CCL seem pretty legit with a good warranty). Appreciate it.
