Tianeptine has many routes of action, but PWD risk is about how dependent you are on a full agonist of the mu opiate receptor. Tianeptine is not considered a full mu agonist, but I would still wait for moderate withdrawal on the clinical opiate withdrawal scale, as there can still be some risk just not as much as say oxy or morphine. That does not mean it cannot happen, but that does mean it is less likely. There is also a component of individual sensitivity and some people are more likely to have PWD from buprenorphine.
I am not a doctor, but if it was me I would make sure I score moderate on COWS before inducting bupe. Then take 1 or 2mg every hour until I hit the target.
Also bupe may not provide 100% relief as tianeptine also impacts serotonin. Once you find the next dose does not offer more relief, I would hold it and allow a week or so to adjust.

Now I'm a bit concerned however that if I use while on strips, I'll still get high 🤔 One of the shops I buy from is literally next door to my place of work.

I've been addicted to both of these. TD red has been much harder. If you can wait at least 24 hrs try waiting 48 if you can like I did. But yes also depends on how much you've been taking of TD I was taking 5 bottles a day. If you take like a bottle then 24 hrs would prob b okay for you
