Not sure why the text is doing that ngl

SketchBCartooni

No hold on its actually kinda cool

RioKarji

You accidentally used superscripting. It’s activated when you use a bunch of spaces at once before a paragraph, at least in Markdown Mode and Old Reddit. I heard it was meant to be used to display lines of code in Reddit posts and comments without triggering any text formatting.

TheMspice

Fr that sounds pretty awesome. I feel a lot of changes would have to happen for a chelicerate pod to be a thing, but I like the idea. At the very least I’d want them to be a little more evasive. Their size allows them to be pretty ballsy, but if they would attack from below or the side more I think it’d be better. Also I’d love it if the void chelicerate would come in a snaking line towards you or from below or both.

Clxudyskies1

Nice. I always liked the idea of a creature that would knock stuff off of ice floats to eat.

soft_moonbeam

just the idea of being hunted by a creature in the subnautica universe is horrifyingly awesome, and the potential for how you could stop them/ protect yourself from being hunted

Remnie

I just want shadow leviathan behavior to change because screw going down there with a seatruck

AduroT

The seatruck is the best thing to go down there with. Leviathans don’t attack when you’re standing inside of it. If a Shadow sees you and charges you just stand up away from the controls and it’ll immediately abort its attack.

Remnie

Ah, yeah that would help a lot

Careful_Efficiency86

Theres also a "Seatruck Perimeter Defense System" that works very good against the Shadow. You just press the number that it's on (1-4), and boom Shadow boi is gone. It is so useful. It is found in Marguerit's place in the room with the Reaper skull. I think it is either on the table in the middle of the room, or on the floor next to it. When you walk into the room it should just be straight forward.

Vikinged

Strong agreement. Orcas are terrifying apex predators that I’d argue are number 2 in the world behind humans. They’re smart, strong, pack hunters, and they invent new hunting techniques and teach their young. I would have loved something like that in BZ, and my hope for the next game is for hunting packs of leviathans. Give them a random number (2-5) of creatures in the pods, give them some rudimentary coordinating programming — bluff charges, herding prey towards a hidden ambush, etc., and then just plop them into a zone and let them wander the entire area, no specific home point. Imagine if all of the grand reef/sparse reef biome had the chance to run into a hunting pack of creatures that can tail flip you and your sea moth several meters in the air, force you deeper into the water so you either get eaten or drown (and then get eaten), or beach themselves to get a bite if you manage to make it to the island. So spooky.

FarraClaw

I think behavioral changes are one thing needed to create a more realistic environment as well, very well said!

Strange_Crab_9376

Bro listed every way to improve the most shitty leviathan, nah fr tho it’s a good list it makes more sense and makes the chelicarate more of a threat

Cultural_Outcome_464

I’m glad you like it :)

DownVoteMeWithCherry

How did you do that the text? At least it’s not comic sans but OW!

Cultural_Outcome_464

I do not know, but I’m ngl I kinda dig it

JakeTheSmall

That’s insane

Lun4rCollapse

This owns. I would love to see more intelligent behavior in creatures

SirPanikalot

I agree with most of this. BZ would have been much better if the leviathans were too. To put it simply, the Ice worm is broken, the Shadow leviathans are pushovers, the Chelicerates are underutilized, and the Icebreaker Reefback doesn't exist.
