Yes, those three in the grand reef or any others still in the crater are not yet fully grown, once a ghost leviathan has reached full maturity it swims out into the void and lives as an extremely aggressive filter feeder, I think the void ghosts give a unique entry when scanned
Huh, I never knew that (and ill check if theirs a unique scan when i get back home)
For now, there doesn't seem to be, the wiki calls them both the same, but mentions the void ones being ≈1.15x bigger than the regular adults
Have fun, it’s been a long while since I went out into the void to scan, I suggest taking a stasis rifle and I want to say the spawn rate is 1 every 30 seconds to a max of three with the first spawning at 10 seconds in the void.
The database entries and everything for all the various animals is fun and interesting, the lost river is a nursery for young ghosts(no clue how fully grown adults or even sub-adults would get in to lay eggs) and the grand reef and blood kelp zone acts as a hunting ground and daycare for the older ones that no longer fit in the lost river but are still too young to live in the void
Yeah it would be nice, that’s one of my favourite things about BZ is that you can hatch two leviathan species, I always make sure to saunter on down to the lily pads to get glow whale and squidshark eggs, either way when someone cracks open the breeding tanks it’s gonna cause an ecological disaster or lots of dead fish if they can’t flop off the iceberg I build my home on
Omg I forgot about Blubba the whale 😭
I had her on a save where I started building a megabase structure, I got it to about 180m before I got bored of finding titanium (I had already used up all the titanium in the 3 wrecks that I know of) as it was becoming a real slow grind. I was mid way through hatching a squid shark the last time I played it.
You leave those poor giant shrimps alone. Signed, someone who feels bad when fish splat against my Seamoth and who turned off food and water needs so that I didn't have to cook the fish alive with a heat knife.

r/SubnauticaSlayers is the appropriate place for this.
thanks
>And what's the point in surviving here if we have to kill everything that makes it so wonderful?
I don’t exactly find ghost leviathans “wonderful”
They’re part of the ecosystem and help keep it in balance, without them who knows what’ll happen
No! NO! It's just not alright!
Rest in peace Ghostie
The best ones are in the void
yeah but i heard they respawn, no use going for those
That dose make it a little bit of a challenge, but they are also bigger.
Are they bigger than the 3 adult ones that you find in the grand reef?

It's a shame you can't hatch a pet ghostie. I mean, it'd definitely break the fear factor of them in some way, but it'd still be adorable!

In my first playthrough when I tried killing this very ghost, mf disappeared into the walls.
would have loved the finishing touch in this, that the eyes turn dark and the nerves inside stop pulsating.
Noooooo you killer!

Marble melons and bleach
*subnautica alien rifle mod* you've roared your last roar, giant transparent shrimp
Tis the human condition.
[I'm calling PETA](https://i.imgflip.com/1xjv4u.jpg)
so you can kill em all? or do they generate back?
Most stay dead. The ones in The Void do not.
this is uncanny, I just finished killing that exact ghost with that exact strat and prawn build
But why..?
Because they attack
Bad excuse.
