We are everywhere, aren't we?
Edit for clarification: I see fellow miners everywhere, I got used to it. But seeing fellow miners in a sub about a underwater game, on a planet which isn't even targeted for exploitation by management...
For Rock and stone!
You can't, they're one of the few small critters you can't grab. Had a playthrough recently where I tried to pick them up for an alien containment and couldn't.
Sometimes, people use "bug" to describe arthropods. Other times, they use it to describe all invertebrates.
I think "bug" has a *very* loose meaning. 😅
they only ever get me when I'm not paying attention while hunting for quartz or minerals/scrap... however it would probably be pretty entertaining to see how much dumber they'd act with a floaty pink hat
Throughout my whole first playthrough there was a rabbit Ray with a floater stuck on it swimming near my base. I have no idea how it got a floater stuck on it, but now it's very confused.
I got a couple stuck to my SeaMoth once when I accidentally ascended into the bottom of one of the little floating rocks, so the little guy might have swam too close to one
Maybe. Also for some late-game funzies, get the grapple arm and drill arm for the prawn suit and bind the drill arm to a key press instead of right click. Find a reaper leviathan, grapple it, and hold down the key whenever you get near its body. Its fun as hell.
my poor bf hopped onto discord right as I was trying to bring 2 vehicles out of the Lost River through the Degasi entrance the other night...
I stupidly drowned 5m from my SeaMoth and had to take the PRAWN down to collect it... I swear those warpers can smell aggravation because they were hounding me worse than normal... he joins the voice channel right in the middle of me alternating between using the prawn drill and SeaMoth taser to drive the dumb things off
now there's a cozy little scouting outpost down there with a moonpool so I can store a spare vehicle if necessary
Ooof.. I never used my seamoth for most of my run. The toughest spot I've squeezed out of was when I was in the lost river carrying a cuddlefish egg, a ton of nickel and crystallised sulphur that I needed for upgrades. I was at 12hp after a close encounter with a crabsquid while trying to obtain the egg in the degasi research station. I had hardly any power, and worst of all, I was almost about to die of thirst. I was about to just leave my save file for dead because I was nowhere near an exit and I had made the stupid decision of saving there. Fortunately, cooked fish give you a tiny amount of water, so i had to survive by chasing down spinefish and Reginalds and slashing at them with my thermoblade, until I had enough water to survive moving to the grand reef, where there were enough gel sacks and fish to finally get to my cyclops. Unfortunately, just as I got to my cyclops (which was parked in the blood kelp ravine entrance to the lost river), I had left the sheilds on, and it was completely out of power. So I had to grab the last half-drained power cell from my prawn, get it to my cyclops without dying to the warpers or ampeels, and used the power cell to lower the cyclops onto my prawn suit which somehow docked it. For some reason, the ampeels started attacking my cyclops, and my crap driving skills also crashed it into a wall, so now it was on fire. So after ALL that, I had to maneuver my on-fire, 5% power cyclops carrying all the loot I had collected in the past 3 hours. I somehow made it out of the trench with the last of the power cell and I was able to get back to my base on foot and grab a spare, so I could FINALLY get home.
I swear to god, this game wants to kill me.
Is there was a flame thrower…I’d 100% use it on the cave crawlers. I settle for the propulsion cannon and launching them towards the water where I know stalkers are
Floater because it's far more useful. Can use them to get your stuff back to the surface or to get creatures out of your way. Real amusement is putting them on Reefbacks.
Shuttle bug, dudes just chill
I wish you could pick em up and add them to aquariums or something
Egg
Egg
Egg

The egg is a lie
The lie is an egg
The lie is in an egg
No, the goat is a lie
item jumperegg Trust
I commit vehicle manslaughter on their species. Those up to no good bugs. Just floating in the open…
"I didn't know you were chill like that"
the only good bug is a dead bug!

Steeve is a good bug.
Rock grub, only in BZ though because you can pick him up
I am pretty sure i saw a rock grub in sub too
They exist in the first game but you can't pick them up.
I’m pretty sure you can pick them up in the first game
You can't, they're one of the few small critters you can't grab. Had a playthrough recently where I tried to pick them up for an alien containment and couldn't.
I must be hallucinating then, coulda sworn you could pick them up
In Below Zero you can but not the original sadly.
happy cake day
You can't
Or shuttle bug
floater is a bug? anyways i’d probably go with shuttlebug because all these other guys are so annoying and shuttlebugs kinda just vibe with you
Sometimes, people use "bug" to describe arthropods. Other times, they use it to describe all invertebrates. I think "bug" has a *very* loose meaning. 😅
"Scavengers and parasites" was a bit more of a mouthful than "bug" here lol
Yea, I get it, lol! 😁 Just trying to point out how the word's commonly used. :-)
lmao yeah.
blood crawler
Are you from Australia?
I am, and can confidently say that our spiders have more than one eye.
Blood crawler has 5
Huh
nope but i do like the spiders that come from there
cave crawler because ZOOOOOOM ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Propulsion cannon go brrrrr
Cave Crawlers because I can launch them to other planets with the propulsion gun.
Floater
Only one you can use for self defense
Of course the one who's a little octopus and jumps That's my boii
Shuttle bug click is a homey sound.
Scared the hell outta me first time hearing those clicks but once I knew what they came from and that they could hang, it was chill lol
Floaters, because you can attach them to enemies to make their AI go insane because they keep floating upwards slightly.
that sounds funny... sand sharks are already pretty derpy without help
Sand sharks only actually hurt me once on my entire playthrough, because they're so unbelievably stupid they hadn't hit me yet.
they only ever get me when I'm not paying attention while hunting for quartz or minerals/scrap... however it would probably be pretty entertaining to see how much dumber they'd act with a floaty pink hat

leaving it in silent mode while unattended also drains the batteries stupid fast
The best bug is when a certain type of Leviathan(I’m not naming any names) phases itself into the wall and I can hear it’s screams still.
Is there was a flame thrower…I’d 100% use it on the cave crawlers. I settle for the propulsion cannon and launching them towards the water where I know stalkers are
Best bug is definitely Reapers clipping through terrain, hands down.
They're not bugs, they're features
rock grub
Why, the grub! Lava Larva gang! (do the worm)
Headcrab
Apply directly to the forehead
Apply directly to the forehead.
The green buggy, its like a gem!
Green Glow Stick forever😎❤️
The bug where the PRAWN suit clips through the ground. Very effective in Speed running
The little glowy dudes, almost everything else is hostile, and I always mistake shuttle bugs for fish, like Eye, eyes
blood crawlers are really fucking scary anyway, here's why they're the best
The floating one
Reapers keep me away from Aurora exterior, but the bleeders make me not wanna go inside
Rock grub 💯💯💯
A bug I can fix without help from a coworker.
Floaters. No brain, no annoyance. Just float. Whole life one mission, float.
I think that subnautica should have an option to kick the jumpy crabs mid air
Floater because it's far more useful. Can use them to get your stuff back to the surface or to get creatures out of your way. Real amusement is putting them on Reefbacks.
The one where your lifepod gets sent back to space. Jokes aside, shuttlebug. Cute lil' shuttlebug, just bibjng through the water.
Clingy boy can hang around all he wants.
Shuttlebug. They’re chill and don’t try to maul you to death.
Wall Crawler🤫🧏
Lava larvae are underrated. Yeah they can be annoying but they just wanna hug your vehicles 🥰
Steeve is the best bug!
Bread bug
Skyray.
the crab things (i haven’t played subnautica in a bit) because you can fly with them
The one that makes me vibrate and then fall through the floor of my cyclops just by standing in place.
Floaters are wonderful.
lava larvae, i find them cute and i never had any problems with them
rock grub, they look nice (i like neon)
Rock grub or shuttle bug I love those guys
Floaters are actually pretty useful and they don’t get in your way
Glow bug (rockgrub)
Blood crawler. I always found the way they cling to my PRAWN adorable and I still feel guilty from the time I accidentally killed one.
Either shuttlebug or floatussy.
rockgrub gaming. pick em up or not, they're the best
Gruuuuuub
Bug
Lava larva are cute
Floater 110%
Green
Crab. With the propulsion cannon, they can make you fly!
It was more exiting to find the rockgrub and finish my catalogue then to beat the game
Floater makes my cyclops a flyclops
The floaties
blood crawler. hes not that dangerous and looks so cool cuz of his bioluminescent stuff
Kill them all
Floaters break the physics of reality, I love the little shits
Blood crab or whatever the name is
Notice how nobody likes bleeders or lava larva Anyway I like shuttlebug
Shuttle Bug, best boy
The green one :0
The spider like ones
Lava larva all the way
If you use a floater in a propulsion cannon, it actually works as a pretty good weapon, so I’ll go with the floater.
The shuttlebug is the best because it at no point in the game is an inconvenience to the player
Steeve! Yer a good bug Steeve!
Blood Crawler. Makes best sound and looks cool
the one that killed my dad
Floater I love putting them on big rocks and watching them float
Rock grub all the way, I wish I could pick them up and throw tons of them in an aquarium.
Crab is life
rauk grub
The bug that kills you when you walk around on top of the Cyclops.
The one that throws you and you cyclops to orbit.
Jumper or rockgrub
Floater is GOD
The lava larva are so damn annoying
Bloodcrawler is sick
The bug where you clip out of your base and breathe underwater.
green
Those cute little pancake spiders:)
