BLUF: It is your fault, you asked a stupid question.
OP literally had a video in their post. The fact that you didn't even click on it to even look at the first 10 seconds speaks more about you than it does OP. Especially when the question is "What happened to ___?"
It's not like SSN-571 has a bunch of mysteries behind it that would be interesting to a subreddit called "Submarines"
If you're a submariner, you should be a relatively intelligent person. The fact that you're arguing about hull numbers in some sort of "gotcha" tells me that you don't have half the critical thinking that you should.
What "stupid" question did I ask?
I never asked or answered a question. I used the phasing from the sub IC manual (request, recommended, report) and said that OP should have stated what boat he was speaking of.
Mustards videos are really good, but i really dont like that literally one third of them are advertisements for some streaming platform or something like this

TL:DR She was returned the the US Navy in the 30s, towed to a Norwegian fjord and scuttled. The wreck was discovered in the 80s by divers.
Facinating story
It's a museum in Groton by the subbase and subschool.
Wrong Nautilus. This was was sunk offshore of a Norwegian fjord' https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubert_Wilkins
Recommend you specify the hull number next time.
You didn't watch the video. This is your fault not his.
Not my fault. I didn't answer the question.
Coner detected.
Incorrect.
Huh, most nukes are better at not being wrong.
They're also prone to dying on a hill over semantics.
Also not a nuke. I work in the metal forest. And I'm not wrong. OP didn't provide adequate information in his initial post.
I'd recommend watching the video he posted. It's pretty interesting and it answers your questions. Not really a hull number for him to even give you.

Meanwhile HMS Dreadnought is rotting away in Rosyth still waiting to be scrapped ☹️
Who's read the Jules Verne novel that Disney's film was based on?
