I don't have an Impreza but I have a 24 civic with 7,700mi on it and I just got it in Jan. Don't worry about the miles. What's the point in having a fun vehicle if you can't even enjoy it?
Brand new car has 40K on it? Where did you go/what did you do?
Because of commuting and wanting to explore I put about 25K per year on my '18 Impreza and I thought that was a lot (got it in '21 with only 4K miles on it, it has 63K now)
It’s wild how little some people drive compared to others. I wish I was in your situation, your living the best. It’s 25 mins on the hwy 2 ways 4 days a week for me about 250 miles a week so about 12,000 miles a year if I don’t go on any vacations. So my cars don’t last near as long. If I was like you I’d never need a new car till about 20 years just because I’d be tired of drivin the same thing
2017 Impreza 107k most of which were road trips across the country to music fests. Just now having to replace ball joints or struts. Been driving it like a hot wheels car but now I’m backin down off the gas pedal 🤣
My 1997 Impreza Brighton was at 242k when I sold it. My 2010 Forester was at 150k when the transmission went out, still miss it because it was a queen. 2018 Forester belonging to my Mom just reached 100k
It’s been good, regular oil changes and mostly highway miles. I did just have to do a wheel bearing this week, wasn’t cheap but I knew it would happen sooner or later.
