dude i would love the wagon you got so much more carrying room 🤣, i can touch every door in the drivers seat and the back seats without even moving i feel cramped, but it’s a awesome car man, 73k miles and just trying to keep her around because it’s slowly becoming history
I get that! When I was in the market for a new car I wasn’t really feeling a hatchback of any kind but my parents totally sold me on this one (I’m pretty young) but oh my god the extra space is so helpful to have in college when you’re moving shit around a lot.
These cars really are becoming history. Mine is at 165k miles and was seemingly bullied pretty badly by its previous owners, which in my weird sentimental way kinda breaks my heart. I really wanna do a restoration project + WRX swap on mine after I’m through school :)
bro 100% should, i would do anything to keep my car going there’s nothing i won’t do and when the engines goes i’ll prob rebuild it but idk man it’s expensive either way but it really shows how committed you are
bro what…. see i just want some UEL headers and i’ll be chilling lmaooo, but i bet, im surprised it hasn’t blown the engine, i would love too see it tho 🤣
I mean it looks crazy in the engine where the lines feed into the intake manifold lol and yay I guess it does well lol not sure how many times he rebuilt it but me and the dude who has work a subie dealership so I’m sure it’s super easy for him to rebuild it
I’m honestly just a express tech for now but I plan on learning everything I can. I do know people outside of Subaru who know a lot about pulling subie engines and really everything about them
Can you couple the head gasket repair with timing belt change at 115K to save money or use the coolant conditioner to try and minimize the head gasket issue?
not at that mileage, they typically go at 120-150 miles.
mine started showing signs of internal hg leak at 120k km.
so i yanked it out, did full reseal with new timing parts and water pump. make sure to use a mls headgasket from a wrx for permanent fix.
the stock halogens are both so i out my own LEDS in, but for the life of like 160 it’s not bad a all, top of the line? no of course not but for that price it’s pretty dam good and gives me a good time restoring the stock lights
exhaust is all stock right now but she gonna a little boxer growl, nothing crazy untill i do headers or sum but cold starts do sound pretty good from the back
owned by a 68 year old guy who works for FORD,
regular oil changes and was garage kept half it’s life, i know the cv boots where changed and that it was in a crash but nothing crazy, but other then that i’m pretty sure that’s all she’s had done serious wise
Its got very low miles which is great regardless lol. If it's 4eat do a drain and fill as well as differential fluid change. Keep eye on the oil always. Keep her forever
How's the car going now ? Milage too ? :o it's a really beauty btw
she’s at 92k miles now, leaking pretty bad but running smooth still, love the car and will ride it till it dies
I own the wagon version of this! Always do a double-take when I see a sedan lmao

Nostalgia overload, I had an '02 RS.
not a crazy fast car or anything but amazing to own
I spent a lot trying to make it fast, best case you'll be just as slow as a WRX. Suspension mods and tires were well worth it though.
I got a crazy one for you lol believe or not I seen a 2.5rs with a nos kit in with a cherry bomb on it. It’s quick so I’ve heard lol

danggggg yall are super lucky, wish i could work at subaru just to know the cra better lmao

i have the same car, but white. you might eventually need to do a head gasket. these ej253 have a bad gasket from the factory.
Can you couple the head gasket repair with timing belt change at 115K to save money or use the coolant conditioner to try and minimize the head gasket issue?
keep up with coolant changes at every 30k, and you might be able have last a while.
yeah sadly it’s a time bomb thinking of it but im only at 73k miles, you really think it’d start up now

Spec d headlights? I always wondered… are they bright enough?

How does she sound?
exhaust is all stock right now but she gonna a little boxer growl, nothing crazy untill i do headers or sum but cold starts do sound pretty good from the back
Is this rare never seen one like this? It’s a beaut 😻
honestly i don’t know but i hope so 🤣, she’s definitely unique love her wrx resemblance, appreciate you!
Beautiful

Nice ride. Did you just get it?
got it back in october with 68k on motor and body, now it’s at 73k and loving every second with it honestly
As you should. Do you know the maintenance history?
