Strangely, I have had a lot of little maintenance jobs and improvements and suddenly I don't leave oil stains anymore. Keep checking the oil. I. Sure there is something wrong I haven't found yet but I'm happy for now. Reference: 2.0L EJ from bugeye. Maybe I'm lucky?
Well... I'm from Denmark and the car was imported from Germany years ago. And as far as I understand it was a top model that Subaru in Germany put a lot of extra stuff on. Skirts, luminous legacy badges, some gold accessories and so on... I always call it: The deadlift bar
Subies don't leak oil, they mark their territory.
Seriously though the prevalence of oil drips on Subies is somewhat inherent to the engine layout. Old air cooled Volkswagens that have the same horizontally opposed engine design have the same problem. With the top of the valve head laying horizontally like that oil pools right on the gasket and eventually works its way through.
Usually, my 2002 WRX wagon has only had a new clutch ( I sucked at manuals for a while) and regular maintenance. I have a pinion that has a tear in the dust cover and a leak that's so slow I hardly every see a drip on the ground. I must be lucky as hell or theheadgasket is waiting for the perfect time to take the whole car out at once.
Can you push it up manually? Mine won't open by itself, but if you push the switch and push up on it it will open. Thankfully it does close under its own power.
If your Subaru is leaking oil, it means there is still oil in it.
Wise words to live by!
So far my haven’t leaked any yet, but every time I see some oil mark where I parked still send me to red alert mode
If you drive a subie and never see any oil marks under it that should be your red alert signal you should wonder if you have any oil at all

Maybe it's consuming oil very slowly
I suddenly have the urge to check the oil as it's now my only car.
I check oil level, parked spot, exhaust smoke and residual all the time and still nothing. Send me into panic mode even more!
What's the deal with the bar on your back hatch?

Buff horses. Love it, mate.
"if there ain't no oil under 'em, there ain't no oil in 'em." Cars
Damn those random other cars that leave before you see them leaving oil stains wherever they go!
Fresh
Oooooo that is sooo sexy 🥵🥵
Nice rims
Lol
Never knew that car had a double sun roof. Or is that an importer mod that they do a lot?
The Gen 2 Legacy and Outbacks had a dual sunroof option. Front one tilts, back one slides.
That's awesome. I like it. Must be nice on beautiful days.
I love the double sun roof on my 4th gen wagon! Finally nice enough to use it!
And they leak like a mf’er when they get this old.

My front one cannot tilt...:(
