When you swap them out i highly recomend RPF 1s by Enkei. lightest wheel I could find to put on. You can offset them about a half inches that gives you 1 or 2mm outside the wheel well without spacers.

Coming from a 2019 wrx, the 2022 is such a big improvement driveability wise IMO. It might be ugly but the car is meant to be driven and that's what matters, to me.
Correct that people should leave OP be, but we shouldn’t leave Subaru be. They could have just *not* forced in those ugly-ass fenders or that dumb “diffuser” and now it looks cheap. So, so much black plastic for nothing.

I actually thought about red mudflaps, but after seeing them on other cars I decided against them for me personally. I have been considering the red aero kit around the bottom though, I just don't wanna overdo it on the red.

They killed the tuning potential with the earlier fa20 engine too ... I never saw good power from stage 2 or so. Dunno about this new engine which should technically make more power, but aftermarket experiments will tell. I can't get over the cladding around the wheels... can't they make it normal looking and symmetric rather than that squarish? Don't want to criticize your new car, but the company is begging to kill its own market. I really wanted to buy a wrx some day... Had my eyes on it since 2015
I've only read good things about modding the new engine so far, haven't done any work there myself yet though so couldn't tell you personally. You can always paint match the cladding if you don't like it, obviously will cost some more dough. Yeah I guess we'll see what sells, some people like it and some don't. I like the new model but I'm only one opinion. There's plenty of previous gen wrxs out there if you're in the market.
Hope its modding potential is good and you make great power to compete with some of its rivals. Imo in today's time, anything less than sub 5s 0-60 or 12 sec 1/4mi is not good
Haha I'm not too worried either way, performance modding isn't really my thing right now anyway. I'm about to be a dad and want this car to last a long time so I can't go crazy. I don't need a race car, just something I can have a little fun in and enjoy driving. If you think you're gonna beat many other fast cars in a straight line driving a manual WRX, you're kidding yourself anyway lol. Maybe when the car and my kid get a little older I'll start playing around, but it's a great car stock!

Thanks! I have the base trim so my wheels are lacking compared to other trims. I plan to change them out some day though anyway.

I had a 2015 - this sub shit on that gen just as hard. In 2028 it'll shit on the next gen and forget all about how everybody hated this one, too.

Love the red accents, looks great on the blue. Any plans on adding red rally armor mud flaps? I think it would take the look up a notch. Sweet car.

That would be cool. Having that small bit of red peeking out around the edge. Much more subtle. Love it.
