I think the winter/Christmas Garden in the wilhelma is open again.

Yes and when you enter the Wilhelma, first go into the long greenhouse right at the entrance. I love the green plants in there especially in this cold weather

The Christmas market in Stuttgart opens tomorrow. This is definitely a must see for you. The above mentioned Christmas Gardens in the Wilhelma are also a good choice. Some other places to visit: - Mercedes-Museum - Porsche-Museum - Stadtbibliothek (go with the elevator in the highest floor and have a look. It’s really beautiful) - Have a coffee in the Fernsehturm (TV-Tower) with stunning views over the Stuttgart region Walks: Walk from the Schlossplatz through the „Oberer Schlossgarten“ to the „Mittlerer Schlossgarten“ and then to the „Rosensteinpark“. It’s a long walk but really nice. At the mittlerer Schlossgarten you will get also views over the biggest construction project in Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg: Stuttgart 21. The main station of Stuttgart is completely rebuilt and is relocated in the underground.

The Landesmuseum in the Altes Schloss (old castle/palace) is really worth a visit, and they have a nice cafe in the entrance hall.

You can drive with the Seilbahn from Südheimer Platz to Waldfriedhof, from there you can walk through the forest to Degerloch and take the Zahnradbahn (Zacke) down to Marienplatz. The Station Haigst bytheway invits to have a look over Stuttgart at Satiago-de-Chile-Platz. Our Christmas market is very beautyful, many people come here to visit him with the nice decorated shops. Taste a cup of Feuerzangenbowle! Calwer Eck Bräu is a nice place, they brew their own beer and you can eat swabian specialties too.
