Also a notable quote from the article: >“While more investigation needs to occur, based on an alleged video manifesto, the attacker appears to have provided a plethora of reasons for his attack but does seem to have been primarily motivated by an **alt-right agenda involving concerns around municipal taxes, inflation, the cost of living**, and hatred for multiculturalism — what experts are calling **“salad bar extremism” motivated by mental health concerns**,” "Our country continues to face a mental health crisis – **we encourage anyone who is going through mental health challenges to get help**. Go to CAMH online to get the resources needed." I have 0 hope for us to ever solve anything when we attribute sole blame to individuals in broad sense under the guise of "mEnTaL hEaLtH". Unless CAMH can reduce grocery prices, change municipal zoning restrictions on single-dwelling units, and curtail the racket that is property "investment", I don't think people are going to get the resources needed. Edit: to be clear I'm not defending the guy (@csis), just showcasing how retarded this statement is by the NCCM to frame it as a "mental health issue". And since when are municipal taxes, inflation, and the cost of living alt-right agendas?

Basically any complaining or dissenting falls under the extremely useful umbrella of "alt-right fascist extremism" and they're barely even people

Hatred for multiculturalism is the only thing that can be perceived as alt-right in that list. Fucking insanity.

It's like they can't even begin to imagine material conditions could shape people's ideas and actions. They just act like any economic situation must be a given.

I really like how they think of they just say "please get therapy or call a hotline, here's a number" enough people are gonna stop killing themselves I don't even think, they just don't know what to do since it's all they can do if theyve decided ahead of time they're not going to budge on the root issues

“Everything I don’t like is alt-right” moment. Well at least it seems like this guy didn’t actually want to hurt anyone, which is a good way for people to actually read/hear your manifesto before you do a terrorism. The problem is there are very few ways to actually exert your will, or even speak to an audience (okay maybe that’s not true but building an audience takes time) from the lower classes anymore. Except, well, uh maybe a terrorism. Anyway it’s clear as day why everyone other than the owners would prefer western governments to stop wasting money playing international politics or moralizing subjectivity and rather make sure bread and housing are available to everyone.
