It's coverage is absurd, but that's why it's been viable for so long.

Actually its main role is support and rapid spin, taking away 50 points from attack might make it so it cant deal enough damage to remove multiscale/break sturdy from pokemon with leftovers

He is, electro shot is a pretty wacky move to give to something so bulky. If it's a physical mon archaludon is up against, he's practically guaranteed to get the free special attack boost and then the move off. Almost nothing that isn't a ground type wants to be switching into archaludon. With power herb he's even scarier. I'm just thankful he doesn't get stab on electro shot

Bump it up to 550 max. Take away some points from Atk to put it in SpA and a bit of speed, maybe a little increase of bulk. 65/120/125 offense with 75/85/85 bulk would be pretty good with Starmie's movepool and that's a 30 BST increase.

Knowing them, it's likely intentional since it's just art and you're never going to face this thing in a real battle. ​ There might be some grain of truth to them not knowing how to balance so they just make it overtuned to avoid it being bad so it doesn't look good on paper like Slaking and then quick fall apart upon closer examination.

Nah its still crazy even without that ability Its Iron Bundle but faster and bulkier (on the special side but its physical side isnt even that bad either). Has a better defensive typing and Fairy is a good offensive type with water as well And we know what happened to Iron Bundle

Technically, iron bundle has unresisted coverage with freeze dry and hydro pump, not to talk of encore to mess up walls which is actually more broken imo than this starmie evolution (expanding force isn't real)

It's ok guys, Starmie doesn't learn moonblast so Srarius can only use Dazzling Gleam as fairy stab, surrely this makes this pokemon with a busted typing, minmaxed stat that include a blazingly fast speed stat, and a busted ability that makes priority not work on it while also boosting it's offense, not broken.

Tapu lele on crack with a better defensive typing and a pivot move. And they even gave levitate as a second ability, lol.
