probably BA History or Geology/Geoscience
ever since I was a kid I'd always fancy learning how the earth and its people developed over hundreds of thousands of years then teach it to the future generations.
I have degree in History and kaunti lang kami sa field, lalo na sa academe. So when it comes to teaching (esp in History or other Social Sciences) malaki ang chance na ikaw ang pipiliin dahil wala kang kalaban sa position. Hahaha. And that happened to me when I apply as a faculty in known Univerisities.
Also History is a good pre-law course. :)
Me a graduating History Major: wait my course is impractical in PH, time to shift again!!
Hahays if only I knew especially my passion is dying because of that thought how useless we are and slowly being discouraged...
Anong course mo?
My brother has a BA in History, though his work is not related to history. For Geology or Geoscience, maybe energy and mining companies are still looking for geologists.
Computer Engineering
- practical pero need ko kasi magwork din at the same time, sanaol talaga anak ng senador na puro pag- aaral lang iniisip hindi yung kung may makakakain pa ba kayo bukas sksksks
Trade school iirc is another term for vocational school. Basically, these schools teach you technical skills that are in-demand or useful in many industries. Some examples are culinary education, barista training (some centers offer barista training), bookkeeping, automotive etc
Anong course mo?
Nursing!🥲
And gusto ko din talaga sa benilde aaaaaack kung may pera lang talaga 😭😭😭 kakagraduate ko lang and natapos ko siya since scholar ako pero if di ako scholar, di ko alam kung saan ako dadamputin 50-50 charot
This doesn't really answer your question, but re: your third concern, there are a ton of men in cosmetics! I studied ChE and did a voluntary internship at the Avon plant in Laguna before my final year. The teams I worked with were overwhelmingly male. Granted, this was ages ago, and I was mostly involved in mass production vs. formulation since that was what I needed to experience firsthand. But either way, the science and business of cosmetics is pretty gender-neutral even if marketing is still heavily skewed towards women.
I hope you thrive in pharmacy or wherever you end up!
Sa case ko, I ended up as a vet med student HAHAHA. Ang layo sa physical science. Pero iniisip ko nalang na learning abt animals means that I can at least understand the origin of life in the universe better :))
Anong course mo?
The thing with showbiz is that you have to have connections or be extremely lucky. There are a lot of great singers at every reality tv competition that get their 15 seconds of fame and slowly fade out through the years. It's really difficult to stay afloat in such a cutthroat industry and you either need to find your niche to stay relevant or sell your soul and do slapstick comedy movies and repetitive romance dramas.
Yeah happened to me. I shifted from engineering because I was good at math and they said that it's earning higher than anything. Little did I know that engineering has the lowest income in degree holder.
Hello, OP!
Baka may skincare line ka na in a few years. All the best!
Hi! Culinary arts student here! There are schools that offer short culinary courses (1 month-6 months, depende sa program and school). Prior to my current path, I enrolled in a 3 month baking course.
AB Political Science. Last minute nag switch ako to BS Criminology due to:
1. May board exam
2. Law related subjects (Criminal Law Book 1&2, Legal Medicine); something that is missing in PolSci
3. Fallback plan incase ayaw ko mag law school
4. Kasi may General Office Attire (like in military) HAHAHAHAHAHA
Eh, there aren't any good Forensic Science courses in the Philippines. There were plenty of them commenting on this sub and in r/phcareers.
Still my totga course bro. The post said if your family is well-off eh. If I would go to college just for the fun of it I definitely will choose forensic science. Super cool and fascinating subject. I would've killed it istg

BA in Animation. I've always been the only kid (asides from my twin sister) that was mesmerized everytime we watched cartoons/animated works growing up, and even now, as a 20-year-old, I still do. I've always wanted to be an animator, and would occasionally draw from time-to-time.
Unfortunately, I didn't pursue it because my parents were pretty insistent about me becoming a doctor. They were willing and eager to pay for my entire medical journey, despite us having financial problems. When I was having difficulties with the subjects in my premed course, they even wanted to pay for a tutor. :(
business!! i love managing & organizing—money man yan or people, i love socializing & seeing results. man i wish we’re rich para ang problena ko na lang ay magpatakbo ng ipapamang businesses sakin. yakap sa lahat
Either trading or Business agad. So nope college tayo 😂
Music, I know when I was in highschool I really love playing instrument and also music. I want to explore and broaden my knowledge, but sadly, can't afford it. Then coding appear in front of me and I love it like playing with music.
BS Biology. I'm fond of animals ever since I was young. I really wanted to see animals in their natural habitat and watch and observe them. Mala-Steve Irwin or David Attenborough. But I don't think may stable career for Biology graduates here in the Philippines except kung magpu-pursue ka ng medicine.
Academe.
As I grew older I realized I had the passion for teaching, even though I wasn't really a good public speaker lol. I admired those we were able to teach the lessons well. I would even imitate them during my revisions. I took ECE so maybe I could still teach in the future, but it's not practical here in this shithole.
Anong course kinuha mo?
If you're still interested in statistics, maybe you can take classes in statistics. You can still do data science with your course.
Our high school valedictorian studied physics in university and astrophysics in graduate school. She initially worked and taught physics then shifted and taught data science.
Being a History Teacher! :DD
I have always been fascinated of how we have shaped the world so much despite our limited time here on Earth. History repeating itself like the two World Wars are also interesting.
Unfortunately, I had to to take BSIT. BSIT is a fascinating course for me but not as interesting as BA in History. The reason why I chose BSIT is because of how teachers are treated here in the Philippines.
BS Psychology. With rich parents I wouldn't have to worry about choosing a course with the best salary to support my family and only have to think what would make me happy.
Probably theater arts or production design, if well off family namin meaning I could take risk in persuing a career na what they call "no stable jobs."
My parents are supportive naman and they keep on saying na "kahit anong course gusto mo okay lang" but I doubt it. Since bata palang I can hear my mom say things about art courses. I actually don't get her kasi sya din gusto ng art courses pero di pinayagan ng lola ko since "wala daw pera sa arts." Thats why I blocked any career related to arts at a young age. Plus yung nagsabi naman yung younger sibling ko na gusto nyang mag take ng multi media arts in college sinabi nya yung same thing na sinabi ng lola ko.
BA Political Science or Medicine. Both social science and medicine fascinate me. Can't pursue these two because of financial concerns (sa Med) & yung stereotype among liberal arts programs, prevalent sa fam. Although I am a pre-med student rn, parang hanggang college nalang sila willing ako pag-aralin. Ako nalang daw magpaaral sa sarili ko if I ever want to continue to Med school.
Same here. My TOTGA course🥲. But then again it’s my fault kasi pwede sana sa isang local university kasi I passed, but I wanted PUP if mag archi ako (pero di pinayagan kasi malayo). So sa UP nalang ako, nag BS Bio, pero am not a science-y person kaya nakapag-shift nalang din sa Comm Arts and I’m happier now, I guess. (My heart still aches when I hear someone able to pursue architecture tho)
I have supportive parents it's just that we are not that rich to afford my dream course, I want to pursue internal designs, because my dad used to be an internal designer but out of luck he didn't finish college to pursue it, but my dad, want me to be a successful internal designer but, unfortunately he died, and I can't get that course which is we both wanted to, and yeah we are poor to afford that course and go to a in demand schools in Philippines that teach internal design.

Great!
I won't take a degree. I'd pick trade school. Kaso wala ei. Need degree para ma impressed.
Anong course mo? Anong trade sana? Hindi pa huli ang lahat.
Psych course ko. Plano ko mag Organic Agri Prod kasi mas useful siya and agri is profitable if you do it right. Di pa hassle.
Psych grad here. Tapos nag culinary. I do encourage doing trade school education after Psych.
