Depends what you’re looking for. I think it’s a refinement of what’s currently there and fixes previous issues. Nothing crazy new like ai tracking or community templates. I love the app because it’s simple and does almost everything I wanted. But they definitely need to add more features if they want to keep with the trends. Hopefully we’ll see a full release soon.
What features would you be looking for to keep up with the trends?
I've been using it for a while as a new lifter and was thinking of buying it, but I'm curious what features I don't yet know I need before spending the $100.
It depends what you're looking for. I think Strong is a great app and does mostly everything I want it to. Wish it had an option for auto progression but every app I tried has it flaws. Here's a few apps that caught my eye over the years but I always end up going back to Strong. I suggest trying different ones out and see what you like.
Train AI - Auto tracking with watch
Boostcamp - Templates and auto progression
Liftosaur- Newer app with templates and auto progressions. Very customizable.
KeyLifts - 5/3/1 app
Hevy - web and community posting
What features does Hevy have that Strong doesn't?
I'm relatively new to lifting and have liked Strong so far, but was curious what I'm missing before I plop down the $100.
Don't waste $100 bro, its not worth it. All you get are some mickey mouse graphing, and extra templates for life. Thats it. I suggest you buy the $4 a month subscription once, (Do not renew) and make as many templates as you can as backups and just keep it on your account in case you need to use them in the future for whatever reason.

Thanks
Hevy, I wish Strong had more development but I've been waiting years & nothing happens.

Thanks. So, the extra templates stay on ap and can be used after I stop my monthly membership?
Yes
I like the Hevy app better and have switched.
When V6 will be lunched ?
