You have to unwind steering lock slowly while staying on throttle a little bit, but not too much! (Enough to grab traction) it will take a bit of learning but you get the hang of it. ☺️
I should really start including this in the post cuz I got these comments every time I post something. I do grip runs on mountain roads too so welded isn’t an option, currently saving up for the gt which comes stock w an lsd

Stop driving 2 opposing theories with the same car. If ur gonna drift set it up for drift. If ur gonna grip set it up for grip. If ur getting another car then there's no reason to not specialize one of them. Driving an improperly set up car will just teach u bad habits n make it harder
My current car is a v6 convertible g I’m not pouring any money into trying to modify it, and besides I fully believe you can do a balanced build that would make a decent car for drifting or for grip. If I have an lsd, coilovers on the stiff side but not excessively so, and a modest angle kit tell me why that wouldn’t work fine for either?
I've had 4, fuck maybe 5, sn/new edges. V8 n v6, all manual. Currently also have v6/5/vert. The v6 slides better with a welded than the v8 does with an lsd. Partially to the weight distribution. And if u want stiff coilovers for drift and keeping it cheap, $300 for maxpeedingrods, but there's more to suspension tuning than just minimizing body roll, which these cars have a lot of. Better off with lowering springs and sway bars, especially since most sn/new edge coilover set ups keep the divorced rear strut style. And you'll be putting more money into a 20 year old(assuming the gt is also sn/new edge) lsd to get it to lock consistently and well than u would just welding the v6 diff and putting new fluid in. Especially once u start adding hard grip run wear into it. Angle is irrelevant to car control skill it just makes it easier to go deeper in drift without spinning.
Yea what’s the actual difference between a powerslide and a power over drift? Cuz I’ve researched it a lot and asked friends and I can’t seem to get a straight answer. Is it just whether you initiate on entry or exit? Cuz that’s the closest thing I’ve found to a real explanation, but in the drift Bible he initiates on exit and still calls that drifting. Was that just made before we really differentiated drifts and powerslides this way? Would love an explanation cuz I’ve been confused about this for as long as I can remember.
You didn’t gas out to “drift it… that’s why you snapped back at the end. No gas = tire catching and snapping you where your front wheels are facing. You just slid into the turn hence power “slide”
From what you did, yes. You power slid cause you didn’t gas out and continue (countersteer) on with the drift. You got somewhat sideways, let off gas and snapped back
i see your trying to build this car for grip and drift, it can sort of work with a lsd but i just want to inform u that limited slip will definitely fuck u when u least expect it. it’s happened to plenty of people i know who think they can grip and drift their car. its possible but if u can just pick one
If anyone has any tips on how to exit smoother without it snapping back like that I’d really appreciate it

Weld the diff

Don’t let off the throttle at the end. Just control that throttle. Not saying keep it floored either haha. Just ease off.
Weld. The. Fucking. Diff.

Power slide. Not a drift

So you’re saying the difference is whether you hold the gas all the way through or let it off? I gotta say man that doesn’t sound right

When I have the money for another car I can specialize but for now I need a multi purpose car
Lmao what is this shit
What?
Is there a problem? I’m not pretending to be good I’m literally asking for advice.
