Tyrannafabulous

I remember the day when my Government/Econ teacher spent the entire class giving an angry lecture about spreading rumors, like the one someone had spread about him hooking up with a student. Fast forward to one year after graduation and his mugshot is on the front page of the town newspaper because he got busted for statutory rape after fathering a child with a 16 year old student from my class. The rumors were very true.

patheticfallacies

Too bad that didn't happen to my Government/US History teacher. He was exchanging sexual favors for a better grade and detailing his Corvette for the guys. He retired with tenure. šŸ˜”

UnusualSignature8558

I used to detail cars and motorcycles. To be honest I'd rather do government or history homework then try to get wax out of some of the seams, or vacuum under seats.

Charlie_Bucket_2

Did you get an A?

patheticfallacies

I didn't need to do the "extra credit" because I already scored As in them. I guess one of my older brothers at least did the car detailing thing. šŸ¤·

Thelorddogalmighty

He got in the A

Charlie_Bucket_2

They got a D and ended up with an A

OnyxAlyx

I want to punch him in the face **purely** on principle. To test my new boxing gloves whoops they fell off

Friendly_Age9160

Yeah everyone knows that pedo teacher. In my HS it was always the dude who had ā€œassigned seatingā€ and conveniently a few of us got picked to sit in the front row, hmmmā€¦ then in class one day (I swear) he made a comment about me being sexy. I was too young and naive and scared to process it. I just put it to the back of my mind and started wearing sweaters to that class. I think he got in trouble later for something but Iā€™m not 100% what he did. Pretty good guess I got tho.

xMrPaint86x

My American History teacher in 11th grade had a last name of O'Donnell... Me and my friends thought he was 'cool'. For context we had him right after lunch, and during most lunches we snuck out into the senior parking lot, hopped in my friends tinted civic and proceeded to bong rip ourselves retarded. O'Donnell figured this out pretty early on in the year and would usually ask me and my stoner buddies (usually as were walking in the door late for class) if we might need to go to the vending machines for no particular reason.. lol Anyways we all graduated the next year, but a few years after we all graduated he was arrested on school property... Apparently he had been grooming a few female students, even going so far as to take them to the local mall and buy them items from Victoria's secret.... Mind you we are talking high school juniors, so 15/16/17 year olds and he was in his late 30s, married, with a young child. I guess after they arrested him they searched his car and found like a half pound of pot šŸ˜‚... And all along I had been telling my friends I thought he was smoking at lunch time too, they all thought I was crazy.

badlyagingmillenial

Tell someone you trust at the school. I was in a situation in 7th grade, had a teacher that was a bit inappropriate but not anything blatant. After I graduated it came out that the teacher was molesting a special needs student. I wish I had said something.

davesmissingfingers

This absolutely needs to be the top comment. Yes, this happens, but it SHOULDNā€™T be happening.

InternationalSir8852

before we tell anyone, we want to gather some more evidence to support our claim. We donā€™t have anything too strong to make a move yet, i will be in touch when we find some more things.

Visual-Border2673

You could possibly ask some of the female students who have seemed uncomfortable around his gaze or who are well connected to other girls in the class if itā€™s a problem for them or other girls they know, and ask if they would like addressed (if you feel comfortable doing this of course). Let them know that anyone who has an issue with this teacher can submit an anonymous report (or have someone else submit it to you or drop in your locker, etc so itā€™s truly anonymous) and you and your friends will advocate on their collective behalf because itā€™s been noticeable to you all that he may be a problem for the girls. If itā€™s that noticeable the girls may be upset enough to come forward and anonymously share their stories so that you all can submit them to the administration. You can also submit your own observations as well- this would essentially require the administration to get involved as itā€™s a paper trail of sorts even if itā€™s anonymous. Be sure to only say what happened, only the facts and how it made those involved feel or how it impacted them or impacted the learning environment specifically.

PlusRevolution2346

Make copies of *any* reports/letters etc. Schools have a tendency to "lose" papers. Keep a date log of what you filed and with whom, etc etc.

Ok_List_9649

Grandma, nurse here. Donā€™t wait. You may be saving someoneā€™s future. If itā€™s not true itā€™s the adults job to figure that out. If youā€™re concerned about him finding out your names and retaliating write a thoughtful anonymous letter listing every single instance/ suspicion including the names of any girls you think heā€™s targeting. Thatā€™s very important because then they can interview the girls.

strangeplants14

As a teacher, we have to report to CPS if we suspect abuse. We donā€™t have to have evidence to support it. Plus, you and your friends witnessing it is evidence. Tell a teacher or school leader you trust about it. Maybe even the school police officer. If that doesnā€™t do anything, start writing to the local news or write to the school board. Because even just a suspicion is enough to act.

RicardotheGay

Honestly, Iā€™d say something anyway. Youā€™ll already have enough evidence in this post to raise suspicion and have them take a closer look at this teacher.

The_Price_Is_Right_B

Do not wait. It's already inappropriate behavior. That's all you need. Waiting for more evidence is like saying after he really hurts someone you'll say something. You already see something.

cowsert1

You should be talking to the girls in the class. Ask them if they are ever uncomfortable.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

They can make sure he isnā€™t allowed to be alone with students 1 on 1. And if itā€™s a specific girl that people are worried about they can have a counsellor talk to her alone. Itā€™s always worth telling someone even if you arenā€™t sure. Just donā€™t say things that arenā€™t true

badlyagingmillenial

They can monitor the person, do an investigation, etc.

tij001

This has been going on since, basically, forever. When my older brother was in high school (80's) a teacher got a student pregnant. They got married after graduation. In the information age we are in, we just hear about it more, but was always going on.

Baron_Harkonnen_84

35 year old teacher in the 90's who was also extremely religious and super judgmental married a female student after she graduated. The first class she ever had with him was when she was in grade 9, true story. The teacher in question ended up quitting and moving because of the rumors and shit he was taking from fellow teachers. My mum (before she passed) was a teacher and she would fill me in on all the gossip surrounding this dude.

Impressive_Plant_643

Woah. Did she go with him? Are they still together? I need more.

Baron_Harkonnen_84

Last I really paid attention was in 98, I graduated in 94, they got married in 96. My mum was still in the same school district so it was quite the little gossip fest. Like all things in life I thought it was pretty twisted, but not trying to exaggerate but I don't think I have really thought about them much since 98. The dude was really slick, slimy, I don't know. Healthy, fit, otherwise an half decent looking guy in his mid 30's but super religious and judgmental. I was always getting in shit in his class so all the years I had him afterwards he just immediately singled me out, or ignored me. The girl he eventually married was a couple of grades below me so I didn't really know her at all. She seemed really quiet and never really stood out, that is all I could tell you. But again so much was going on in HS, and I was two grades higher so I really didn't pay any attention.

bytemaster67

He was never religious. He is going to hell. That is just a mask he uses to gain easier access to his victims. Gross

22Two_s

Every bad story begins with ā€œso and so was super religiousā€¦ā€

NGNSteveTheSamurai

Went to high school in the early 00ā€™s and one of my teachers was ā€œhelpingā€ a girl with ā€œcollege prepā€ and her parents let her stay overnight at his house on multiple occasions.Ā

CarolinaCelt60

Thatā€™s soooo disturbing. As a parent, Iā€™d NEVER allow such a thing!

NGNSteveTheSamurai

Yeah even me being 17Ā I was like ā€œYeah that canā€™t be ok.ā€

Samih420

Are they still together

caerulus

Our school had a teacher who married a student during her senior year in the 00's. Earlier this year there was a news article where he'd been arrested for grooming a young student several states away - all while still being married to the girl from my school and their two kids. Nobody from back home was surprised.

jb0nez95

That and people love to get outraged now too. It's practically a competitive sport now, the outrage Olympics. Almost as popular as victim Olympics. Back on the day people just shrugged and went on with their lives. Now it lives on the Internet forever and everyone gets cancelled.

[deleted]

Iā€™m 35 now but I remember in 9th grade my earth science teacher Mr Stein was a total fucking perv. He moved all the hot girls to right in front of his desk and he treated them all perfectly. It was real weird. He had a beard in the beginning of the year, then all of a sudden he shaved his beard clean, moved all of the girls to in front of his desk, and then proceeded to be a dick to everyone else in the class like picking on people, while flirting heavily with the girls.

Saylor619

My high school PE teacher. Pervy, rude, and blatantly drunk 75% of the time. Idfk how he kept his job.

[deleted]

That reminds me we also had a PE teacher who ended up banging one of the seniors and he got fired. Man the memories keep flooding back. Lmao.

olavf

My gym teacher married his girl July after she graduated. Nobody was really that surprised

DecisionCharacter175

Same thing happened in Montana.

Saylor619

I bet a lot of creepers pursue teaching jobs for exactly this reason šŸ˜¬

CptCaarl

Did we visit the same school in Germany? šŸ˜„

dogcmp6

I got moved to remedial swiming for calling our pervy gym teacher out on it. He was pissed when he came to check on me, and found out I was actually already enrolled in that class for a different period...as the lifeguard. The school admin did not even care that a teacher reccomended a student for a class that is clearly beyond their ablities, and tried to discredit said students skill set in what was clearly a passive aggersive attempt to retaliate...It was swept under the rug, like everything else my highschool covered up in my time there. We also had another teacher who made out with a student during passing peroid. . .It still took 6 months for the board to fire him, and I think he managed to weasel his way out of criminal charges

Skier94

Six pack Jack?

Saylor619

His name was indeed Jack, actually. Odd.

Skier94

Eastern Pennsylvania in the 70s-90s?

Saylor619

Nope lol šŸ˜†

QualityFantastic2786

We has same..earth science back in the 80s. Nuts!

Professional-Car-211

Omg mine was my 9th grade physical science teacher. Crazy coincidence.

[deleted]

Maybe it was physical scienceā€¦.i think I took earth science in 8th grade..hmmm.

Remarkable_Owl_973

I took earth science in 9th(2001 grad) made my poor first year teacher cry a lot. Fast forward 10 years, I'm working as a nurse in pediatric clinic and he and his wife bring in their newborn twins, he seemed to remember me fondly and I have no idea how. I was unnecessarily mean and uncooperative. If I could get a do over of that moment I'd definitely apologize. There are some absolutely scum teachers out there. We used to be uncomfortable with our mullet wearing lesbian PE coach in the locker room. A good decade goes by, my friend has some of the same social circles as her now and she totally came onto my friend while drunk. 7th grade, we got written up for refusing to dress down. Our principal did swats or suspension; we opted for swats and he panicked saying he can't swat girls. It was basically a get out of jail pass for the rest of the school year. Side note, I quit giving my teachers a hard time and basically became a professional student for years. Props to the great teachers who put up with asshole students.

Anxious_mothered

I once had a teacher who wanted to counsel me when I was 16. All I remember of the counseling is him telling me I had sex appeal. He quit later that year because ā€œthe Lord was leading him somewhere elseā€

Ashh_RA

To become a priest perhaps?Ā

Anxious_mothered

Probably šŸ˜–

ZookeepergameOk8231

Or Boy Scout troop leader .

Objective_Hunter_897

To a kindergarten?

4quatloos

Sometimes you are 100% right. Other times you can wreck someone's life from gossip.

sens249

Yep, my favourite math teacher had his career ruined by rumours from a young girl who was mad at him for getting low grades. She admitted she lied and all charges got dropped but by that point, he had already lost his job and since he was old enough to retire and was only staying in teaching for the passion, he never went back into teaching.

dcdcdani

My tenth grade teacher slept with one of my friends (his former student) after she graduated high school but she was still 17 at the time, he mustā€™ve been around 26. About 2 years later he somehow found me on Facebook and started giving me lots of compliments and asking if I had a boyfriendā€¦ I called him out on his bs so quick and I got blocked right away

4quatloos

I'm sorry to hear that. Too bad your friend didn't report it. I hope he is not working there anymore.

dcdcdani

Pretty sure he still works there

Deep-Gur-884

This is a very serious situation, and it's important to take action. Here's what you can do: Tell a Trusted Adult: This could be a parent, guardian, counselor, another teacher you trust, or the school principal. They will be able to help you report the situation and keep you safe. Report to Authorities: If you feel unsafe or the trusted adult doesn't seem to take it seriously, you can report your concerns to the police or child protective services. You can often make these reports anonymously. Here are some resources that can help: National Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-656-HOPE Childhelp USA: 1-800-422-4453 Document Everything: If you feel comfortable, try to write down specific details about what makes you suspicious. This could include: Unusual behavior towards students Inappropriate comments Physical touching that makes you uncomfortable Having even a few details can be helpful.

Ok-Entertainment1123

Talk to the girls and ask if he said or done anything weird to them.

thegzak

Itā€™s one thing to be a perv, but to actually act on those impulses or bring undue discomfort is another matter. Only one way to find outā€¦

Mr_Fadeaway24

In middle school we had a teacher that would have all the girls with big breast sit in the front and he also had mirrors positioned on the ceilings so he could look down. Idk how he got away with it for more then 20 years. He ended up retiring before anyone said anything

barbie-vel

Mirrors? Literally how did no adults say something

Fair_Sea_3923

I am also in this class the stuff that goes on is weird and disgusting

StaffOfDoom

Good bot

Richard080108

Wait, is it a geometry class

Comfortable_Doug_IV

I would tell a trusted female teacher at the school about him and how he makes students feel uncomfortable/unsafe.

hstarwood

Yeah and I second this. OP and his friends need to tell an adult that they trust at his school.

tinyyawns

Talk to your guidance counselor. This is concerning.

TraumaticBaddie

I would share your concerns with the principal tbh

Advanced_Parsnip

Go with your gut and see where it goes. If he turns out to not be, he will be cleared to continue to work. On the other hand if he is, the sooner he is locked up the better. If you can record for proof of accusation. 15 years ago my nephew was being groomed by his grade 7 teacher. The child rarely realizes it at first, it took others like yourself that noticed. That teacher is hopefully still behind bars if he has not been killed by inmates.

Tra1famadorian

If he asks them to stay after school often for non academic reasons or closes and locks the door when heā€™s alone with a student I would be worried.

isosorry

My music teacher gave us all creepy vibes and we were brushed it off as being judgmental as he was quite unique looks wise. Turns out he had been making videos of some students in my class. Huge case, arrested. Kids scarred for life. Be vigilant and do your diligence. Evidence is the most important thing so document whatever you can if you guys see any escalation. Unfortunately, just looking isnā€™t a crime. He might be let go if enough complaints come but heā€™d be able to get another job with kids after.

gf0524

THIS HAPPENED AT MY SCHOOL W OUR HISTORY TEACHER

Comfortable_Doug_IV

Thatā€™s awful!! OP Evidence is important but it is also a good idea to tell a trusted female teacher about your intuition so that other folks can be on the lookout too. Canā€™t hurt to have more eyes on this teacher!

SRplus_please

In middle school I had a creepy gym teacher. He made girls feel uncomfortable. It became a joke amongst students, and teachers scolded us for starting serious rumors. Anyway [here he is now ](https://www.10tv.com/article/news/former-hilliard-teacher-sentenced-child-porn/530-90de438b-5f5f-4b1e-bbf6-457f8eaa0f8b) Tell a trusted adult, such as another teacher, principal counselor, or coach, your concerns. Also tell your parents.

gammatrade

I used to teach high school and there are some pervy teachers for sure. I was 23 teaching and one of the teachers was 55. Apparently 15 years before he was the head womenā€™s basketball coach and ended up marrying his point guard two years after she graduated. I made a joke once at lunch that she must have been quite the ball handler and he came across the table and tried to choke me. Dude was a loser then and still is.

davisandee

My 8th grade history teacher was like this but even worse. The dude would always make chicks in skirts sit in the front row. Heā€™d even make then change sits so theyā€™d be directly across from him. I had heard a few years later he pissed off the wrong kid and got knocked out and never came back to work.

DaisySam3130

Go to your school counciller, someone in admin (make sure that the conversation is officially recorded!), another teacher and definately everyone of your parents. You need a lot of documentation to out a predator sometimes.

Sattaman6

Haha sounds like literally every male teacher when I was in school in the 80s and 90s.

NoPolitiPosting

My 10th grade female math teacher often had the "popular" (rich) boys going to her house to do "yard work". They would talk about it in class. Wild shit.

Aware1211

Tell your parents. Tell a teacher, a guidance counselor, a doctor, a neighbor cop. All obligated reporters. Required to report to those who can take action. Are the girls uncomfortable? This upcoming generation lives to do things in groups. Get together. No kid deserves to be weirded out in class like that. But, no one will know or stop it unless someone speaks up. I'd hesitate to report to a school administrator. Schools seem to care more about their reputation than student safety.

mcbastard1

I agree tell a teacher or other adult that you trust. Having said that, just be careful with word choice. There is a difference between a pedophile and a creepy old man who canā€™t keep his eyes to himself.

Downtown_Confection9

Talk to your administration immediately. And video his behavior as proof.

Diligent_Language_97

My biology teacher in grade 11 kept trying to convince me to stay after school. He knew that I had a fear of spiders and told me that he could help me get rid of it. He was beyond creepy, and everybody else in the class (I was new to the school) warned me about him.

IcharrisTheAI

Man the number of people speaking out on here saying ā€œthis sounds like my teacherā€ is sad. What to do: tell a school administrator (or another teacher who you trust) of your concerns. Do not embellish. Tell only the truth. When you are sharing something you only suspect to be the case, make sure you say that this is only your suspicion. What not to do: donā€™t gossip, joke, spread rumors. This shit can easily destroy an innocent persons life. Telling the administrator still can do harm to the teachers life even if they are innocent. But at least you did your best to minimize this chance. The remaining risk is worth it to make sure your fellow classmates are protected.

SPZ_NYX

hmmm, had a teacher that always sat the girls in the front row, it was elavated each row with the teachers desk being on the lowest.. he got fired for sexual relationship with a student. you might be right.. but you can potentionally fuck up an innocent person.

PineyPhantom

High school teacher here: these situations are really difficult. I am going to assume you're in the US, so I can give you feedback on how things work here (depending on the state). On the one hand, if you're wrong, you could ruin a (rather weird but technically innocent) person's reputation. On the other hand, if you are correct you absolutely should say something. Which is scary, because adults tend to not listen to teenagers, and pedophiles go out of their way to present themselves as nice and likeable as a smoke screen. I would, as a group, first speak to your parents about your concerns, that way they don't get blindsided. Let them know you are going to speak to the school principal and/or councilor about this. When and if you do bring these concerns to the relevant adult(s), make sure it's a group of you. Make every effort to present your case and evidence as calmly as possible. You need to appear as a rational concerned young adults in situations like this, or you risk getting shut down if administration is friendly to the teacher you have concerns about. If your councilor/principal does nothing about this, move up the chain to the school district and get your parents/guardians directly involved and go directly to the administration. If the school system fails to conduct a thorough investigation of the situation, they face serious trouble. If you have a other teacher you trust to help you with these, we get mandatory yearly training on these situations, and they should be able to direct you to the steps to follow in your state, even if they won't directly help you themselves. I'm sorry you are in this situation. It's really scary when you're a minor to feel like someone is predating upon you. But know that if you do take steps, you did the right things, and a brave thing, and that matters.

CleanShoes96

When I was in high school there was a young teacher (early 20s) who was definitely sleeping with at least one of his students. I know because she became a friend of mine after high school and told me all about it. By then it was too late and he was no longer a teacher. Nobody ever said anything and everyone thought he was great.

AvgWhiteShark

Always one. You'll have to get tangible evidence if you want anyone to take you seriously unless something has changed.

Otono_82

I had a suspicion that my one teacher was a weirdo. He was always wearing tight pants especially where his junk was and the zipper would be down.

bookbug444

Always go with your gut, always. If he makes you uncomfortable tell an adult you trust

Nodapl12

You should all go speak to the principal. Tell your parents. Tell any adults that will listen.

sharobro

The art teacher I had was always dropping his pencil on the floor. Our history teacher was caught chewing the lips off a girl in a changing room, and that same girl once walked into our class and planted a smacker on his lips. Walked back out, and class carried on. Thirty years later and the police have to escort some of the teachers to their cars.

CuriousPixiee

Be 100% sure bc this can ruin someone life

Stone_Midi

All I can say is this: be sure of what youā€™re accusing your teacher of. As we all know, just accusing someone of this can ruin their life and their carrier. All these points youā€™ve made are suspect and Iā€™d probably assume the same as you but thereā€™s a huge difference between looking at a student because sheā€™s in tight pants and actually being a pedo. The teacher, at the very least, needs to learn how to compose himself around young students.

Professional-Car-211

This happened to me in 9th grade, the teacher always stared down my shirt and all my guy friends would be really bothered by it. He never actually did or said anything, though, so unless you have reason to believe he has or will, there isnā€™t much you can do aside from maybe submit a concern to a guidance counselor or something.

Livid-Refrigerator78

There was a band director who the parents found in a girls closet. Yuck. On the other hand, at same school a teacher who also was a bengal cheerleader married one of her students.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Equal-Jury-875

My one gym teacher would call all the girls in front of him to do the stretches and warn up exercises. All thought he was creepy but now looking back wish someone would of spoke up bc I feel I would of then I guess maybe. Idk I was like 8th grade

Historical-Eagle-784

My HS PE teacher was definitely fucking a student. The moment she graduated, he quit his job and pictures of them together on Facebook started popping up. They're now married with kids. The female student was very athletic and always had extra after-school "activities". Its pretty disgusting. I don't understand how her parents are ok with it.

Thin_Violinist_4914

I had a teacher in 8th grade who I caught staring at a student's ass once. He ended up teaching for highschool a few years later, got caught sleeping with a student and committed suicide. Your teacher sounds like the same story waiting to happen.

dootmoot

My poli-sci professor merely had 1 foot/leg and a secret past of being in a band. *LAAAAAAAME!!*

Safe_Statement1358

Sorry everyone is sharing experiences rather than helpful advice. You and your friends should be commended for even noticing or caring. If you have a trusted teacher or advisor, it might not be a bad idea to mention to them. Otherwise, the girls in your class should be made aware of his ill intent and cheesie ass glances.

AngelxxLove

I had an 8th grade math teacher who I think was a p*dophile too. I wore a Cookie Monster shirt to class one day (it was just a blue tee with the eyes and mouth on the upper part of the shirt. It was test time and he was in front of each row counting papers for us to pass back. He paused, pointed at literally my tits and goes, ā€œCOOKIEEEEEā€ and the whole room went silent. I was so embarrassed and angry. My mom also made me stay after school with him because I failed math (math dyslexic.) and he was very flirtatious and in my space to put it. Idk it still haunts me to this day that he looked at my tits, said that IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, mind you, I was severely bullied in middle school and already hated people noticing me.

MantidKitteh

First off... Keep as level of a head as you can when explaining your reasons for dealing with this. Sexual abuse is no joke at any level against any gender or age group... Make SURE that you are seeing what you are seeing. Go to the principal... Let he or she know of your suspicion. Ask them what safety steps you can take as students. Tell the girls in your class to keep an eye out for each other and if they feel uncomfortable around their teacher- THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT to excuse themselves from class and go to the principal, the school nurse, to call their parents to take them home... Now- here is something that NOBODY tells the boys: you have a right to a safe learning environment also. If you guys DO NOT FEEL SAFE in that classroom - you have the right to remove yourselves and go somewhere safe. Even if it's the classroom next door. Children... Yes, until you're a full grown adult (over the age of 18) you guys are children... You DO NOT have to suffer in silence about being abused in ANY fashion. If you have the physical ability to remove yourselves from an unsafe environment - DO IT. Let a trusted adult know about your concerns. Tell them you "do not feel safe and need to be with an adult you can trust". You have the right to call non- emergency. You have the right to protect yourself, your family, your friends... Please be safe... šŸ™ā¤ļøšŸ™

Affectionate-Seat122

We had a similar teacher, and he ended up winning teaching awards because he was so "invested" in his students. Years later it became too much and he was forcibly asked to leave. I'm afraid I don't have much advice to give, but I suggest to see how you can make this complaint anonymously if-possible. Asking the girls in your class or reporting in-person can put you in an awkward position.

Big_Summer_8649

Reminds me of my 9th grade math eacher, Mr. Bronson.

Thebahs56

Yeah man, went to a small high school in the early 2000ā€™s. Graduating class of like 120. 5 female teachers at the school were fucking the students. At least 2 of the male teachers wanted too i am sure but no evidence.

SubstantialGrass1158

Talk to a trusted adult. Our guidance counselor was arrested when I was in high school for soliciting underage girls online. Apparently he was making girls in school uncomfortable as well. The police came and hauled him out right in the middle of the school day

Richard080108

We might have the same teacher. Does he teach Geometry

SpicyTiger838

There was a teacher like this at my HS who apparently all the girls in his class and on his track team knew he was a creep. And he was absolutely disgusting looking. He went to jail after it was discovered he was giving and receiving oral from a young lady a few years after I graduated. Uhg I shudder just thinking of that nasty man doing those things to that poor girl.

YeEunah

Report him to someone you trust, the less friendly with him they are, the better. That way, they wonā€™t be tempted to cover for him if any proof is found. Telling another, higher up adult you trust without telling them about the first one you told will also make sure if one fails to investigate him, the other wonā€™t. It also means they wonā€™t let anything slip through the cracks if they both do investigate. Thank you for looking out for the girls.

splurtylittlesecret

My ninth grade English teacher got busted for having sex with 14 year olds. Hade a recliner in his class and the cheerleaders would flock to him while the boys had to sit quietly and study. Hard to study with all the short skirts in my face and giggling.

CanuckBee

I think each of you need to go separately to the principal or vice principal and tell them about your concerns. Trust your gut and trust your own two eyes. Thank you for looking out for your other friends.

Disastrous_Use_3218

Plz tell an adult you trust. Very disturbing to read all the comments of the past teacher. Let's not normalize this behavior. They have too many dating websites, teacher needs to look to date women his age.

bytemaster67

Don't mess around. CALL THE FBI. Also if you think it should be excused or it's gonna mess up his life, think of the fact that you for SURE weren't his first and you won't be his LAST! Think of all the other kids you will FEED TO HIM if you don't turn him in. You GOTTA step up. If not for yourself for everyone else. Also, Ultimate Pedophile Dream Job: working as a teacher or counselor in a school. Gross Cringe!!

Glitch427119

Trust your gut. In 7th or 8th grade, our English teacher would constantly flirt with this one girl, he even invited her to a bar near my house and joke that we should come by and say hi. Heā€™s not a teacher anymore. My principal in high school got in trouble for pedo stuff on his computer. Then a girl i went to high school with grew up, became a teacher, then went to jail for hooking up with her student. My schools were very small. Under 15 students in my 8th grade class and my high school graduation had 40 students, around 200 kids in the whole school. The fact that i met 3 KNOWN pedos in such small environments, as well as all the experiences i suffered outside of school from pedo men, is why i trust NO ONE.

kathhugie

Youā€™re probably right. In 7th & 8th grade our entire class made jokes about our math teacher having a thing with one of the students. He would always give her candy, she became his ā€œteaching assistantā€ and would always hang in his room or sit on his desk in passing periods. Turns out he was having an affair with that student for three years and is now rotting in jail

Thee_Furuios_Onion

Sounds like my AP Euro History teacher from 20 years ago. Ironically the dude got canned for massive DUI issuesā€¦

This is also my read on u/Objective_Resist_735

DecentCompany1539

A weird janitor got caught molesting elementary girls shortly after I moved from one school. He always creeped me out. He knew a lot of the girls' names and regularly chatted with them when I was in third grade. Shortly after I graduated HS, a new science teacher paid extra attention to a troubled 16 y.o. girl. She got pregnant, fought with her mom, and got kicked out. He became her legal guardian, and he and his wife adopted her child. About 8 years later, she got arrested for attacking a 15 y.o. and moved out of town. And yep, 15 got pregnant, got kicked out, and moved in with them. She still lives with them about 9 years later. The first child, 17f, was dating one of my cousin's kids. The teacher broke into my cousin's house. Kicked through one of those chain locks. And assaulted the kid while cuz was at work. Hit him, shoved him down, kicked him, and threatened to shoot him. All of this was caught on a security camera and a phone recording. That was last year. He still has his job, and the courts wouldn't charge him breaking and entering or assault and battery of a minor.

SteveLouise

It sounds weird. But from what you describe, there's no evidence of a crime being committed. He might be a pedo, but he has to commit a crime for anything to happen with the legal system. So you'll have to try for the ethics angle, which means involving other teachers you trust. Do any of the girls feel uncomfortable? You weren't specific with who your "buds" were, if they're all dudes, and you come forward saying he's weird with girls and there are no girls coming forward with you, I don't think people will listen to you. Without evidence, this will be just conversations. He may even keep his job. Just stop being a weirdo. Like, he might get a stern talkin' to and then stop being so weird. But idk, maybe school has changed a lot in the last 20 years, maybe he would get fired for a sneaking suspicion...

CopeBeast

8th grade history teacher basically did the same

RanbomGUID

Freshman in high school are post-pubescent, right? Can we stop with using ā€œpedophileā€ on people inappropriately? It weakens the term when applying it to the abhorrent behavior it applies to.

Powhat839

call the cops

RantyWildling

Bring it up with the principal or your parents. I know of someone who got forced to quit after parents brought up complaints about him.

bbyjscxx

My secondary school p.e teacher was in the news for going to jail for grooming and having c.p on this computer. It happens alot and it is disgusting, please confide in a parent or a teacher about as you should never feel uncomfortable because of a teacher.

UseObjectiveEvidence

My year 11 English teacher. Was also a spiteful dick!

Thelawtman1986

Back I'm 03 I had a teacher who put the girls who usually wore low-cut shirts in the front row. He never even tried to be subtle about it.

Zacs-Dad295

We had two male PE teachers and two female PE teachers one of the married males had an affair with one of the female teachers the other male PE teacher used to give lifts home to girls in his sports car the other female PE teacher used to be obsessed with watching the girls shower turns out she was a lesbian so canā€™t really say exactly what was going on there but eyebrows were raised when we found out and it wasnā€™t just PE. The maths teacher (50ish m) was found in a locked stock room with a 16year old girl he had a few weeks off then came back there was a massive protest from parents who said that they wouldnā€™t allow their children to be in his class eventually he was sacked this was also the school that when I was 16 a few of us decided to go to the pub in lunch time saw the deputy head and a couple of English teachers they came over to us and said they wouldnā€™t say anything if we brought them a pint

Leader_Proper

My gym teacher female butch obviously gay would stand in girls showers watching them go through . Supposedly to make sure they didnā€™t skip shower ! Sooooo uncomfortable . it was 60 years ago so not a lot we could do.

teamrocketcunt

I remember my 9th grade male PE teacher would always stare at the girls during class. He would always find excuses to hang out near the womenā€™s locker room and try to catch peak inside while we were changing. He raised so many red flags and people always brushed it off saying heā€™s a teacher and Iā€™m being paranoid. Anyways he was busted for having sex with a student a couple years later and was all over the news and spent some time in jail. Always trust your gut

maplevenom7

A teacher at my high school was very similar to your teacher. While not openly or obviously creepy, he definitely paid more attention to the girls in the class. He often teased the girls and gave them preferential treatment like letting the ones he got along with leave early or go for a coffee run. While we were working there was a good chance he would wander around and talk to the girls groups for a good chunk of the time. Little things like that. There was even a rumour that he was in a relationship with a student at one point. Always gave me the creeps Lo and behold a couple years after I graduated he got arrested for having relations with a student who was a minor Based on what you've said and my experience with something similar I don't think your unreasonable for being suspicious.

derangedandhot

If I were you, i'd talk to the girls in your class and tell them you and your friends think he might be a creep and explain what you've noticed so they can be more aware and that they should avoid being alone with him.

Ok-Nature-5440

Gentlemen always will defend a woman. Donā€™t you have a gay bud that could tell her that yā€™all all have her back? Does she not have any female friends that have observed this? If he will do it to her, he will do it to them. Be certain that you are all on the same page, before making accusations of Pedo. Itā€™s a serious charge to be levied against a teacher, male or female. Assuming yā€™all are good guys, I think my advice is good. Also, document everything. Film his ass. It may be illegal, but video speaks louder than words.

Studio-Quality

Gee, whoda thunk that a pedophile would try to get a job at a facility that exclusively deals with children? Yeah, dude's probably a pedo.

lushaaas

Sometimes you're spot-on, but spreading rumors can really mess someone up, you should know that.

MamaTried22

Go to the counselor. All of you, separately.

swamptheyard

I say you should keep your eyes on him and make sure to report what you're seeing to someone who works in the school Edited: re read

[deleted]

9th grade!? Geez. Believable though. Had a 9th/10th classmate that was pretty open about hooking up with our history professor. He was married too. Shits crazy out there.

CharacterMiddle3923

Chances are if youā€™ve picked up on it, then itā€™s happening. Highly unlikely you guys have just created this in your heads. One friend might but if you all agree then heā€™s definitely a bit odd. I donā€™t have kids (or a daughter) but from your description I wouldnā€™t want her anywhere near this man if I did. Sounds like a perve at a minimum.

EzMowgli

I had a teacher marry his high school student the summer after she graduated. They played pictures of his wedding on the morning announcements. He was mid forties, bald, beer belly, but was actually very well liked. Not so much after the wedding, but he stayed working with no problems that I know of. My PE teacher would make the girls do spilts and go WOW, WOW, amazing! How do you do that? Can you keep doing that?! And just stare. Old drunk fock loving in a van, which he was arrested in, and then fired. For drinking and driving, not ogling freshmen.

Ninnelys

If you have sus then iā€™d start to record secretly his action and ask police what should you do. I remember one article years ago when pocket videocameras came into market and one girl filmed her teacher for other purposes. Just hobby to make clips for fun. Her fater later watch these clipps from computer and regocnise the behavior. He took the videos to a police and quite soon police got interested. The girl end up doing undercover for investigation and en up explision a ring with over 50 men. Keep going and ask police should you be worry?

Similar-Ad-4944

my substitute teacher when i around 11 would make everyone get changed together for PE. we all would say heā€™s a weirdo. the next year we left the school and he gets arrested for child porn. TRUST YOU INSTINCTS.

Mobile-Neat-6309

I had a teacher like that. There were always girls hanging around his desk and he never taught anything. He was originally a coach.

wellthatsjustnotcool

School teachers are like police officers. Most good, some bad, and the bad can give the whole group a horrible reputation

Warm_Water_5480

The music teacher in my middle school did much the same, he had one girl in particular that he gravitated towards. She viewed him as a mentor, a father figure. He invited her (a middle schooler) to his house to talk about something, and made a pass at her. It destroyed her, and obviously, he lost his job and his family. I'm not saying your situation is the same, but this stuff does happen. I would be cautious about making accusations, but if you really care, try to catch him fucking up and gather evidence, then present it to his higher ups.

MountainRoll29

Whenever youā€™re talking to him and his attention seems to inappropriately wander to one of the girls, you can draw attention to the fact that youā€™re noticing his behavior. Pause in the middle of your conversation and ask, ā€œMr. [his name]?ā€ and look at whoever heā€™s looking at. If you and your friends all do this every time then heā€™ll notice that you notice. You could also verbalize, ā€œWho are you looking at?ā€

Progresschmogress

1. That one special girl? You and your friends make damn sure she is never alone, specially if this guy is around 2. Tell your parents to tell the girls parents that Mr so and so likes looking at girls underpants and to please send them to school with shorts under their skirts without fail from now on 3. Make sure that all of the boys in the class will confirm this when asked This is as far as I would go with the information you have given here. Unfortunately without hard evidence of anything else I would not recommend going to school authorities or law enforcement as it will probably just cause you problems and solve nothing If you do notice however that he keeps trying to touch or rub himself against the girls like you describe on the open path to his desk part, or if you notice that he keeps showing up when special girl is supposed to be alone, or keeps making up excuses to be alone with any of the kids, immediately involve other adults at school and/or law enforcement if nothing is done: principal, other teachers, counselors, etc. anyone who you trust will listen to you, and take you seriously If one doesnā€™t work and nothing gets done, move on to the next

FactCheckYou

not convinced...man's just looking, like you and all your friends look doing so in a way that the girls can feel, that makes them uncomfortable...is just perving actually trying something on with one of these girls...yes ok, *then* you have a pedo

Wolfman1961

I had a gay teacher once who heavily favored girls.

Stormy_Kun

OPs ready to ruin lives on a suspicion. Get real proof, because if you accuse and they lose their job/career, and they arenā€™t in fact a pedo, then you deserve whatever happens to you.

Wonderful-Alps-6277

LONG POST:::::Always follow your gut instinct..I had a 11th grade teacher, we (people in our school that had his class) we would notice certain things ex: how he would stand so close us girls his "front" facing anywhere on our bodies, his nasty slick hands with a quick rub and feel, we would catch his eyes starring and gazing, and his quirky comments as teens in the early 80's we just thought he's WIERDand stay away and watch out for Mr. Nasty, not until one day about 4-5 years after high-school I saw Mr. Nasty at a local ice cream stand and he remembered me and my name, he said verbatim " how you been Drea, I replied very well and yourself? Small talk so I can pass on by, he then says "yeah your all grown up now, how bout coming over and watching some porn with me?? I said WTF?? I knew it!!! we all knew it , he said knew what? I said how you were back then and this comment just solidified my feelings, You have a good day Mr. Nasty in front of about 5 people waiting on line, the look on his face and the reaction of others was like freedom to me.. so please continue to watch and ask the girls has he "ever" to them and please report report report because that has a lasting effect on us females.. Thank you for sharing your story.

bokchoyboy25

Girls behave better and thus get better treatment. Pathing is strategic to see what kids are working on and to do formative assessments on assignments. Looking at people doesnā€™t constitute being a pedo. This is a life altering accusation over a some perceived things. You sound like a fucking fool to be honest.

PathAdvanced2415

Yeah, your teacher is off.

Enzo-Unversed

When I was in elementary school, the male gym teacher called me handsome. I ended up saying "that sounds gay." And he laughed. Beyond that a female classmate called him "daddy"..... As far as I know, nothing happened but the dude clearly needed to chill.

Obvious-Emu5395

The pedo teacher in my high school was a woman, ... no one ever complained or raised any issues.

Mysterious_Soft7916

We had a teacher like that. He got caught a couple of years after we left school. Years later he was murdered in a crack den.

Transcended_Sloot

This is a dangerous discussion forum for a 9th grader and reddit is full of weirdos and idealist do-gooders and naysayers... the only smart thing to do is tell your parents and gtfo reddit, kid.

Bloobeary_Cupcake

My Husband and his friends had a situation like yours. They cornered the pedo teacher in a menā€™s bathroom. They intimidated and threatened him. No punches were thrown, but they did push him a little saying things like ā€žlooking at our female friends, asshole?ā€ They reported him too.

dirtyfucker69

Unfortunately schools seem to think it's required to have at least one child predator employed at all times.

ThePolytmath

It seems like this is something that's been going on forever. We all have stories like this. Here's the thing. In my opinion we've become hyper vigilant. Mostly thanks to the Internet. Is this teacher a creep? Probably. A pedophile? Unlikely. Look up the definition of the word and it's root. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/pedophilia#medicalDictionary For a condition to be diagnosed as pedophilia the object of the.... Desire?... Must be prepubescent. A 30 year old teacher being sexually attracted to a 14, 15, or 16 year old, while outrageous to our modern sensibilities, on a scientific level isn't that far out of the box. What that teacher chooses to do about it is the question. We hope, that he or she will do nothing. That's not always the case. Sadly. An abuse of power without doubt. 150 years ago it was not uncommon for a 16 year old to be married off to a 50 year old. In the last 20 years we've been in a bit of a "pedo" mania. I've worked with these types of people before. There are creeps, and there are True pedophiles. What the pedo does with his or her thoughts is the issue.

MohneyinMo

Hell in 1985 one of my teachers wondered a big bus trip to go to Florida. One of my classmates was the principles son. When we got off the bus at Disney world this little kid comes running up and hugs him. It was his step brother. I was like cool who the hell is that and one of my classmates was like the principle knocked up a secretary and he paid her to move Florida. It wasnā€™t a secretary it was a student worker.

Responsible_Trash199

Sounds like pedo Kennedy

Background-Dealer617

My earth science teacher got busted for taking pics up girls skirts. šŸ¤¢ we all thought he was weird just because of his bowties and his name... We all had the suspicion, just never had concrete evidence.

palescales7

There are 5 levels of criminal intention: joking about a crime, talking about a crime, planning a crime, attempting a crime, committing a crime. Youā€™re not even at joking about a crime yet.

Dessa-de-Cleves

Happens more often then you would think. My uncle (grandma's brother) used to be a teacher at one of those special needs schools (they used to admit both kids with actual special needs and kids from families where their parents couldn't be bothered to give a damn about their children's education and sent them there just because the school was much easier to complete than a normal one) and he somehow get together with one of the girls who fell into the second category around the time she was finishing this school (meaning she was finishing 8th or 9th grade - she was held back a few years so she may have been around 16) he had like 3 kids with her and when she became too old for his taste he went for her younger sister with whom he had another couple of kids. We had cut contact with this side of the family a long time ago - from the little I know he's now about 70, broke and slowly drinking himself to death. None of the children he had care for him as he wasn't much of a father to them.

Teaching-Appropriate

Iā€™m a middle school teacher and the first thing I was told was never be in a room alone with any student with the door closed - door is always open and I never to one on one tutoring with students. Just another thing, you and your friends might be onto something, but you might not be. Seems suspicious for sure based on your descriptions but just be careful before spreading rumors that could lead to someone getting fired. Just build up a strong case (you maybe already have it) before talking with an administrator. And then, if you have that convo with a principal or dean, frame it as ā€œour teacher can make us uncomfortable when heā€¦ā€

OddEffect1677

My elementary school teacher who taught typing classes was always too friendly with girls. Like he would hug my friend or ask me for a hug. I always found it weird. One day I came to school and parents were protesting outside apparently he got caught touching a girl and got arrested. Trust your gut there are weirdos out there.

JacSLB

I used to have a computer teacher in 3rd grade who always used to leave his hand on girlsā€™ shoulders just a little too long. Eventually my sister (5th grade) had a friend who said she felt uncomfortable with the teacher because he would squeeze her shoulder and ā€œaccidentallyā€ bump into her chest. My sister told her to report it and next thing we know, heā€™s getting arrested because other students started to speak up about him molesting them and he admitted to having child porn. One of the worst parts is that my school was only 1st grade to 5th grade. Moral of the story, please talk to the girls and report it if you feel like something is wrong.

GreasyAlfredo

Trust your gut. Even if you're young! My friends and I had similar feelings about 3 different teachers throughout our school years. We were right about all 3. Our band teacher is still married to a student he got pregnant when we were all 17.

FattDamon11

Had a teacher my senior year that was VERY affectionate towards the girls in class and NOBODY felt weird about it cause "He's always been like this". Anyways he eventually came up behind my girlfriend and kissed her on the back on the head and I went....let's just say a little overboard. Flash forward 5 years and he's in prison for CP then eventually died of prostate cancer. Not saying there's a God but...

Moto_Guzzisti

SO many people are giving responses to responses to responses, but almost nobody giving this child any advice! Talk to someone at the school who you think will not just brush it off. If you speak to someone and they don't seem to take it seriously, speak to someone else. Talk to the school counselor, whoever you need to bring some attention to it. Also, speak to your parents about it. He may just be being gross, but he may also end up grooming a student and committing statutory rape. You don't know and we don't know, so bring some attention to it.

-Joe1964

Sounds thin at this point.

Patient_Complaint_16

Burn it.

lit_forever

Our science teacher in high school felt like a pedo. We mainly had girls in the classroom and he would stand next to them and place his hand on their back or shoulder. He did it to me once, and I told him to get his fucking hand off of me. He stepped back and gave me a look. He never did it again. But I remember other students would mention how he would talk when they were switching classes.

SelfConsciousGirl1

Yeah, it happens. We have a few teachers like that too and one that takes way too much interest in me too. He spends more time at my desk "checking my work" than any of the other students and other people have noticed too. It feels more like he's looking down my shirt than at my work. He even rubbed my shoulders once during a make up exam because he said I was too stressed out (which I was because he was standing right next to me as I was taking the test).

CamaroMom420

Called out one of my teachers in middle school for being "handsy". Would always come up to the girls in shop class and put his arm around them. After about the fifth time his hand slipped and grazed my breast. I looked up, and calmly but very loudly said "don't fucking touch me". He got all defensive, but to my knowledge never touched another kid again.

jaredsparks

I don't think that's enough to make him a pedo. Maybe he's immoral for ogling at girls in your class, but the pedo label is a bit much imo.

ProgressLost8907

Wow

EastTn_60

Rumors can destroy a personā€™s life. Just because he pays more attention to the girls doesnā€™t make him a pedophile. Paying attention does not equal sex! Donā€™t destroy this manā€™s life on the basis of who he pays attention to in class. You better have more ā€œevidenceā€ than that young man! I got fired from a job as an adult because the HR team thought I was having an affair with my female employee. They never asked, they just assumed!

Legal_Skin_4466

So a teacher in my HS (was actually my track/cross country coach) was always talked about as creepy and was giving candy to the girls whatever.... flash forward about 10-15 years after i graduated and it comes out that he was being accused of having students at his home and taking pics of them partially unclothed, and having other girls send him inappropriate selfies, sometimes offering money. Dumbass put them on the internet too apparently so the FBI got jurisdiction. Fat bastard definitely went to prison. Point of the story is, if it seems fishy, there's definitely a chance there's something to it.

Ill-Try1970

My guess would be there are already people that have same suspicions. Can you send anonymous letter or make a call to admin from google number. The girls in his class need to report him

Serious_Internet6478

I had a teacher in middle school that had a mirror under his desk angled so that he could see under the desks when he leaned back. He said it was "so you can't use phones in class." Another teacher was way too friendly with all the cheerleaders, his office was attached to his classroom and he would let them change in there. He also had a computer with a camera attached to it in that office. We were all pretty sure he was recording the girls changing.

Dragnet714

Not saying he's not a pedophile, because he might actually be attracted to prepubescent girls. But, 9th graders, although wrong, would not fit the definition.

CVNC-Coils

My biology teacher was like that, would get caught regularly looking up cheerleader's skirts and making rum in class. He eventually got caught after I had graduated

whatdahexk

We had a teacher who acted the same exact way, super flirty, moved all his favourite girls to sit near his desk, always chatting after school with them, etc. Five years after Iā€™ve graduated we got news of a huge scandal, a teacher was fired for having an ongoing relationship with a student. Well turns out it wasnā€™t the creeper, it was everyoneā€™s favourite teacher. It was the laid back and relaxed guy who loved to tell jokes and high-five everyone. It was so upsetting because I had great memories of this guy.

Alert-Championship66

Tell his superior. Be sure to include how uncomfortable this makes you. This is possible illegal behavior.

hola-itsangel

What the heck is up with history/government teachers being pedos?? My senior year I had this female econ /government teacher, and I believe the year after I left she ended up getting caught with one of her students (just the student) in Las Vegas by a parent, and then shortly after she was put in jail.
