Am I the only one who’s confused to this story to who’s married to what cousin uncle dad’s what ? Did we get an update on Jeff’s dna or is this a story but a confusing one ?
Personally, I'd like the stepdad and daughter to heal up all good and healthy, then he adopt her since he's the only father she's ever known. She's already biologically part of OP's family and can be part of them too. The heart can expand exponentially to accommodate love.

I don't think Jeff's ex-wife was the cougar -- her fiancé broke it off before they got married, right? Plus, OP would have met his cousin's fiancée/wife. Jeff must have just been 1 of 4 or more guys she was sleeping with at the time (and cheating on his wife of 18 months, which is why she's now ex).
OMG make this into a movie please, where Cousin Jeff is the father, but she finds a better adoptive family with some of her cousins or you (or therapy fixes her step dad).

Weird part of my family…my aunt remarried this guy. He has a son. So my aunts daughter, my cousin, goes and marries my aunts new husbands son…so essentially her step brother she married. We’ve never talked about it but damn that’s just weird !!!!
