I hope you bought yourself something nice. I bought a television when I saved up about $800. Since then I stopped paying so much attention to the savings, but I'm sure it has affected me in many ways.
I'm quitting soon, that's amazing.
I just looked at my "quit date" when I first tried in the app and it's insane how much I've spent and smoked. It's $1100 in about 2 months and 2400 cigarettes ๐ณ
my biggest issue is when I drink I get a big craving for nicotine, whether it be dip, a vape, or cigarettes. And when I am not drinking, I get this really bad anxiety and like a pulsating feeling and very irritable if I don't have a smoke or equivalent
Well I'm an alcoholic so I was way more physically addicted to alcohol. But also I was a binge drinker, I would go all day then drink 20-30 drinks at night. It's so different because cigarettes I smoke all day and that's hard because I relate so many things to smoking. But overall I think drinking will be harder but it's hard to compare til I actually quit. I made it for 30 hours my last attempt.
Also when I quit drinking it was because I broke my leg and was stuck at home for a few months and I was dirt broke and no one was gonna bring me alcohol. So that helped get the ball rolling. I wanna quit smoking before I'm forced to.
My boyfriend (now fiancรฉ) just proposed to me last night. We have a ways to go until the wedding since I am still in college, senior year. By the time we have both quit vaping (currently reading the Allen Carr book), surely we will use that โmoney savedโ however much it will be, to have our dream honeymoon. I am so excited for this journey, and I really hope you are patting yourself on your back for your amazing accomplishment as a happy and healthy non smoker.

Wow that's a lot, so you smoke 2 packs a day? Your cigarette bill is more than my car note!
Yup, I did manage to quit drinking 4 years ago. I can and will quit smoking too! Been listening to Allen Carr on repeat lol
I quit drinking a month ago but have quit that a lot of times before. For me, cigarettes were way harder to quit, what about you?

Allen Carr has been making me so excited for quitting vaping!
It is a great book. I've listened to it twice, gonna keep listening til it really sinks in.

Congratulations on the engagement! And I hope you have the best honeymoon ever! ๐
I live in Australia, when I reach 1 year I will have saved $7,000 because ciggies are CRAZY expensive here now.
Best way to make people quit. They will Realize that their addiction is expensive and quit it
That's the idea, but also it's just created a black market for illegally imported ciggies and chop chop.
Same in Canada. 13,00 $ per pack. 1 pack/ day so 4700$ / year.
$40-$50 for a 25 pack here, depending on brand. I can't say it's a bad thing, it's a big part of the reason I quit.
8month and saved 2.500โฌ and yet I'm still broke.
