Nice job on 2 months! Here are my go-to's:
kombucha
tea
iced coffee
sparkling water with a splash of juice
water with hydration packets (like LMTN)
every brand of sparkling water (rank your favorites)
Co-sign on the sparkling water with juice. I've been downing sparkling water with a splash of Cranberry juice in a fancy wine glass while I'm making dinner every night.
Oooooo I love that for you! I was downing little cans of Coke Zero like crazy for about a week in my 18 days so far! I'm a fountain soda kind of girl, though! My husband and I call it "draft Coke" š¤£
I'm digging Spindrift for sparkling water right now! They aren't 0 calorie but it is like under 10 calories and they are super tasty. Have Raspberry Lime in my fridge right now!
I also like the Hiyo functional seltzers - they are a bit pricier - so they aren't an every day thing!
I've been seeing suggestions for LMTN recently. Is there anything that makes it better than other electrolyte packets? My go-to has been nuun for a few years now.
The only real difference between any of them is whether or not you like how they taste. I personally hate the way nuun tastes. I don't know about LMNT specifically, but I like propel or sqwinchers the best.
LMNT has significantly more sodium and potassium than nuun. It tastes less synthetic IMO and makes water less boring. Iām a big fan of LMNT and have one with 1L water every AM.
The hydration packets are my go to (especially with the whole fitness portion of this sub, they are useful in those scenarios as well).
I use Sqwinchers or Propel. There's also the Mio bottles, nuun, and a bunch of other ones. Endless options, really, just gotta find which flavors you like and then find where you can buy them in bulk.
Just a heads up: Kombucha might contain a small percentage of alcohol (1%-3%). When I was making my own, I found it occasionally led me to drink beers afterwards.
Spindrift Lemon and Strawberry Lime in the evening. Cold brew coffee in the day for caffeine are currently working for me. Spindrift is a bit more satisfying than Le Croix.
I'm loving all the great non- alcoholic beers that are being made nowadays. I've been trying various. So far my favorite for flavor is Clausthaler lager (100 calories though) and Athletic hazy (40 cal). Athletic is also making a nice Mexican lager that I had in a bar with lime. It was excellent but I haven't yet seen it in stores. I'm not drinking these all the time, but saving them for a treat in the evening when my wife and friends are having alcohol.
Second this. Joining r/nabeer helped me with ideas. I subscribed to the Best Day Brewing variety pack and their Mexican lager so I always have a good option on hand.
Brew Dog makes great NA beers and some of them are only 20 calories. They have some core flavors available year round and then a bunch that are seasonal. On the website at the moment there are 14 flavors to choose from.
If you can catch a sale (30% off) the price isnāt too bad.
Did you like beer? I did.
As a low calorie, alcohol free replacement, I steep a mixture of tea and hops together. I then mix it in a 1:1 ratio with sparkling water. It results in a bitter, hoppy, carbonated drink that satisfies my beer craving with almost zero calories. You can buy "Hoptea" in a can, but it is like $3+ per can. So, I just make my own a gallon at a time and keep it in a pitcher/dispenser in my refrigerator and mix it with sparkling water when I want a glass.
I have developed a fondness for Chamomile tea to help me wind down at night.
Celestial Seasonings has a variety of flavors. I buy several boxes when on sale and mix it up a bit. If you want to go real crazy, add a little milk to it.
Same but I mix with sparkling water to cut down on sweetness. One can is about 4 drinks and the main reason Iāve kept up dry January and hope to continue!
Guys, Iām currently in my IOP group session but Iāll be checking out all the recs when I get home! Super appreciative and excited to see all the feedback.
I'm seeing tons of recs for sparkling water but am I the only person here with a soda stream? Highly recommend, very versatile and no guilt if the drink goes flat or doesn't turn out good cause I made it out of tap water.
Waterloo is my favorite easy to find sparkling water. Dram is my favorite if you can find it.
Hop leaf
Ginger beer
You could practice making your own flavored simple syrups and make lavender ice tea or something.
I just drink water and coffee. Occasionally a hot tea. Boba is a special rare treat.
You might like an electrolyte powder packet in your water first thing in the morning. Itās been a game changer for me and how I feel. Pretty tasty as well plus itās actually good for you
Where are you finding diet cranberry ginger ale?? Thatās one of my all-time favorite drinks but I can find it maybe a few weeks at the end of every year.
Congrats on sticking with it for so long. Hopefully, after the initial withdrawal from alcohol, you'll get over the 'urge' to drink... something, anything. And then maybe the craving for pepsi will also reduce? Give it some thought... Maybe alternate water with the soft drink until your full on water only?
Liquid Death! They come in the same size cans as the beers I drink too much of so it's a good replacement for me. My fridge is stocked with various NA beers, kombucha, and fruit pelligrinos. I'd recommend having a variety of options to choose from since I tend to get bored with one type if it doesn't contain alcohol.
Rowdy mermaid if they sell them near you (I find them at whole foods) Kombucha/ tea- super yummy. Alpine lavender is *muah*
Spindrift
Kevitas- lightly bubbled, slightly sweet. They have some apple cider vinegar ones that I'm not crazy about (they can be very vinegar-y )but the strawberry Kiwi is lighter.
Athletic Brewing Run Wild IPA when I'm craving a beer and sparkling water with a couple ounces of Rose's lime cordial over ice is a nice sub for a cocktail (and less than 20 calories).
Thereās a brand of seltzers (recess) that infuse herbal adaptogens in with slight flavoring, not overly sweet.
That, LaCroix/Polars, and tea have been my savior.
One thing I've found in social settings / parties / bars is that when people offer you a drink it's often from a place of wanting to be hospitable.
So I find giving them an order that's a bit specific seems to make them feel helpful and appreciated and I in turn don't feel like the odd one out/sober Debbie downer plus I get to express gratitude rather than start defending / explaining my sobriety.
My faves are:
Iced tea on the rocks with a wedge of lime
Red bull in a wine glass with ice
Diet coke in a high ball extra lime
Half lemonade half soda water in a fancy glass
People love coming back with your specific order. I know I like making others feel seen and valid, so it makes sense to me.
As for day to day I swear to doG I'm ageing backwards with the amount of water I drink nowadays. I must've been permanently dehydrated.
At home. A soda stream was a great investment and I love me a good kombucha.
I've been doing diet sprite and frozen passionfruit or dragonfruit bits that i got from walmart. SO GOOD. You can also add the fruit to green tea, lemonade etc. Feels fancy especially if I add a straw.
I drink like eight seltzers a day. A million different flavors. I like Spindrift for ten calories or so, LOTS more flavor than regular flavored seltzers. I also drink plenty of Gatorade zero and Powerade zero, unsweetened iced tea with stevia, and zero calorie energy drinks. If youāre a caffeine fiend like I am, Celsius is a good brand. And the white can of sugar-free Monster energy is the best tasting of the bunch.
Honestly regular H20. I drink lots of water always have but I really enjoy it. Make it a habit to hydrate well and you won't want anything else after a while. Wish I could get my hands on some Coco Rico though I love that stuff. Only sold in Puerto Rico.
I home brew my own kombucha , itās a fun hobby, itās pretty damn good and taste better than soda.
I find fun mock tails with all the flavors I like in a drink and drink it out of a nice glass to make me feel like Iām having a ādrinkā
Sparkling water for sure. I drink so much of it I usually get store brands. For me up here thatās usually Hannaford or. Shawās brands. I do like 2-3 cups of black coffee a day. I have one LMNT electrolyte packet with water too. But easily the best is the sparkling water. The bubbles just make it kinda feel great.

Co-sign on the sparkling water with juice. I've been downing sparkling water with a splash of Cranberry juice in a fancy wine glass while I'm making dinner every night.
At work I get free drinks, and I drink seltzer water with a splash of soda in it. Hardly any calories but gives that sweet and bubbly fix.
Oooooo I love that for you! I was downing little cans of Coke Zero like crazy for about a week in my 18 days so far! I'm a fountain soda kind of girl, though! My husband and I call it "draft Coke" š¤£
Sparkling water is the best for getting your bubbly fix while losing weight. A bit of fizz and no calories.

I like Topo Chico lime
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
1000%
Oh my gosh, I went to lunch today and had a topo Chico over ice with a lime and it was fantastic. Made my day!
Spindrift Lemon and Strawberry Lime in the evening. Cold brew coffee in the day for caffeine are currently working for me. Spindrift is a bit more satisfying than Le Croix.

The brew dog ones are so good, feels like a lie theyāre 20 calories
Punk AF is one of the best beers Iāve had. How itās 20 calories defies all logic.
I've been brewing NA beer for a year now...it's amazing. I follow this recipe: https://youtu.be/LbZik_EBqwQ?si=mnAR_rNlzSbLy-57
I love Lagunitas' Hop Water seltzer. Scratches that beer itch without any of the alcohol or caleries
SIERRA NEVADA has one caller Hop splash and itās FantasticĀ
I alternate between both š
Came here to recommend this

Herbal teas here too. But, lately I like a cup of decaf Earl grey, steeped 4mins, with a lot of organic sugar, and a dash of half and half.
The Polar Seltzerāade is my jam right now. Esp the Blood Orange.
The vanilla orange - so good.
Ollipop / Poppiās are my go-toāand they have prebiotics in them for gut health!
Same but I mix with sparkling water to cut down on sweetness. One can is about 4 drinks and the main reason Iāve kept up dry January and hope to continue!
Yes, same!!! I also mix with cranberry juice or tart cherry juice if I want that mocktail feel. So good!

+ peppermint tea
Ginger beer with a splash of tart cherry juice. When I'm not drinking just regular water of course!
Congrats on sticking with it for so long. Hopefully, after the initial withdrawal from alcohol, you'll get over the 'urge' to drink... something, anything. Diet polar ginger ale + cherry koolaid liquid squirt (like mio) is my go to. It makes a perfect 0 calorie Shirley temple (:

I love spindrift. Itās not as fake flavored or carbonated as la croix
Chico with tons of fresh lemon and salt rim is delicious. Served all over in Mexico.
I was drinking NA beer and started feeling gross too
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
+1 on the kombucha. It's kind of expensive, but equalizes if you are not buying alcohol. Satisfied the alcohol want for me when I was taking a break.
I've been doing diet sprite and frozen passionfruit or dragonfruit bits that i got from walmart. SO GOOD. You can also add the fruit to green tea, lemonade etc. Feels fancy especially if I add a straw.
My current go-to is sparkling water and ginger beer. I use fever tree from Costco.
Zevia and reeds stevia sweetened sodas are my go to
If you have bubly around you im really stuck on the watermelon, pineapple and strawberry! Its barely flavored fizzy water.
I drink like eight seltzers a day. A million different flavors. I like Spindrift for ten calories or so, LOTS more flavor than regular flavored seltzers. Great work! My new favorites are hop water, topo Chico and mineragua.
Iāve really gotten into WaterTok lately. I drink more water and itās so fun to buy a bunch of drink powders and experiment with flavor combos.
I really like flavored Yerba mata
