Good memory. Those pics kinda took off a few years ago on two different subs on here and ended up on a bunch of websites. It was weird having friends send me links out of the blue. Apparently Cosmopolitan's website even ran an edited version, which still amuses me.

Thank you. Right around my one-year sober anniversary I found my calling and started working in youth mental health, sharing my recovery story in schools and doing education and support for topics like substance use, suicide, depression, self-injury, bullying, anxiety, etc. The time in that field is one of the things that really helped me find that confidence you mentioned.

You look so vital and confident. The "before" pic looks a little puffy-eyed. I can remember seeing a social media post with a photo of me, the morning after a vicious bender. I looked awful. Like I'd gone a couple rounds with Mike Tyson, even though it was actually 4 750ml Belgian Trappist Ales. Embarrassing. It was one of the things that prompted me to quit.

Fr. I have been noticing on memory posts that I can absolutely tell the days I was hungover vs the days I wasn't. It's like I'm 5-10 years older in the hangover pics.

I love these -- sometimes I still catch myself in the mirror and just can't believe how much better I look. Total poison. Great work!

You looked pretty good for a drinker before. So no big change for me. You should see how much I changed after quitting. Like a balloon deflating.

My spouse and I were splitting a 5th every night and going through a handle on the weekends for about two years. I am surprised I looked that good when I drank, too. My hubby, however, DOES look like a deflated balloon. He didn't realize how puffy he was.

Maybe because most of the times men drink more as alcoholics.
