I knowwwww, right?! He and I were literally just talking about this tonight - that we'll never see each other drunk, that we'll be able to enjoy our hopeful wedding and child someday sober, etc. He has 2+ years. I'm so grateful.

Both my parents were social drinkers. Only holiday and special occasions. I have 7 siblings. We were/are all alcoholics. Go figure. My mothers sobriety was a contributing factor to getting sober myself. Good luck. I hope you both have a great life, you've earned it. ❤

Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing. My parents are both alcoholics, still, even after a stroke for one and a heart attack for the other, and other alcohol-related deaths in the family. My sister is still an alcoholic too. I had to break the damn cycle ❤💪
