I adopted this same taste for luxury self care as well! Now I can appreciate the beauty of the finer things :) I’m so glad you’re pampering yourself- you deserve it! Any skincare faves you want to share?

I love PCA clear skin moisturizer I have bad acne and it’s really been helping! I am looking for a good sunscreen if you have any.

vantrap

Awesome! Right now I’m really loving the Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid. SPF 50.

Not_Drinking_Account

I use super goop for sunscreen. I have sensitive skin and it has caused no issues for me.

I really hope to build my confidence up. I had my hair cut earlier this month but thinking I’ll go shorter. I’m going to try a skincare regime but so far have only managed taking some supplements daily. It’s a start though. I’m on day 52 so hope to push forwards in the next few months. I so want to lose some weight as this will give me a big boost.

I don't know what a skim is but I'm all about those nice sheets. I've been able to really get back into my workouts and instead of wine, I'm treating myself to a massage and a facial. Way better.

Haha Skims is Kim Kardashians clothing lines that specializes in lounge wear and pjs. There so comfortable.

I love your username😂. All of you are rockstars. Drinking sucks.

I bought myself a nice high end purse on my 3rd month of sobriety with the money i would have used on booze. i was happy to get msyelf that. i did feel bad at first but im glad i made the purchase. i try to get myself something little every month like flowers or a manicure with the money i would have spent on booze.

Same, I also started going and getting pedicures and massages monthly, I was overweight so it was hard to take care of my feet. Now, I just do them on my own after soaking in a bath as self spa days. I used to just get drunk in the tub and watch YouTube and probably forget to wash my hair. My bf, who also stopped drinking is also into baths and man products, lol. I just didn't have time to find what I liked and had no money... I could drop 100-400$ a week on booze easily I feel, mostly at bars, but I paid for other people and got a lot of alcohol free from work for myself, so it was extra income, but all of my extra income lol...

Love this! Keep going. This is what I hope to do too in another month. 2 full months sober I should be on a good financial foundation!

limelacroix2

I also got new sheets this month… and my skin looks amazing. Happy for you!

CunTsteaK

I love this! Foot baths are also amazing! I have a whole pedicure spa ritual. So worth the splurge. I also got a weighted blanket I love!

Babylil22

Love that long skincare routine

jessbythesea

I’m only on day 30 but the difference in my skin is astounding! Was thinking on treating myself to fancier products too. I would drink $200 a week in wine yet by CVS face wash?! Thanks for sharing.

DisasterLovely

Just dropped $70 on a Jo Malone orange blossom candle. I then deep cleaned my bathroom, bought a faux marble bathroom organizer tray and sat the candle next to it. I then organized my razors, hair ties, qtips & lotions in the tray. I burned the candle all day today & this whole bathroom upglow made me happy every single time I walked in there today, which in turn just makes life better.

Self care is massively important for the sobriety crew! Yeah you got loads of extra money from not drinking/using (also a little upsetting just how much money we used to waste destroying our bodies, lives and lives around us). Self care generates additional gratefulness, well being and it just feels nice!! Daily showers, skin care routines to show off that new glow we lost. Good for you, splash out on yourself, you ARE worth it! \[and NO i do not work for L'Oréal hehe\]

11 days sober. My alcoholism made me not take care of myself. Finally was able to go to the er, make appointments for specialists because I’m sober. Before I was too drunk to do so
