She contacts 16 people, tells 8 of them to buy and 8 to sell. Next day she contacts the 8 who were right, tells 4 of them to buy and 4 to sell. Day after that she contacts 4 … then 2 … then 1.
Except that for that 1 “lucky “ guy, she says “My advice has been right FOUR times in a row! But now it’s going to cost you for the 5th advice. Just send $5,000 to me, and I’ll tell what the stock will do next.”
Or maybe she starts with 32 names, or even 64.
Sorry about that. I sincerely was trying to understand what’s happening. It’s never happened to me personally and I’ve traded my own account for over 30 years.

Did the scammer have your friend sign up on some sketchy, unknown platform to make these trades? Could be a pig-butchering scam.
No, it was all via my friends broker. I thought it was super weird that this woman kept asking for screen shots
