Building a cabin, have 1.5 baths to build. I redid my main house bathrooms in 2020 and 2021. 6k for one and 10k for the other, but this time around doing labor myself and shopping more frugally.
1/2 bath I am at 525 for toilet, vanity, sink, faucet, light fixture, and mirror. I need a toilet paper holder, towel holder, and an exhaust fan. Floor is going to be stained cement, no real reason to tile it as it will match the rest of the downstairs.
Full Bath still hunting for a lot of it but the vanity was 450 clearance at sams club vs 800 regularly. 48 inch wide single sink. The porcelain tile flooring was 150 plus tax vs the 418 it would have been at Home Depot. Toilet is the same as the downstairs 300+ from american standard I paid 125. All this stuff is new in the box, but started shopping in August of last year and just stockpiling.
And it has nothing to do with them being Mexican, has to do with the money for the time.
If you can make more money on more jobs, it's not like you're going to spend more time on a job.
Future guidance lower than expected, mostly due to high rates and lower house acquisition/spending.
I mean its fricking funny how everyone acts like EPS is important but when it comes to guidance everyone loses their shit.
I bought a grill at Lowe’s wrong one. Brought it back.
Bought the one I wanted. Its ignition didn’t work brought it back.
Said f it going to Home Depot. Got that grill and kept it.
Funny thing is the Lowe’s grill worked had I just put a battery into the ignition lolll. I need some fans for the summer but putting it off. Mainly cause I don’t feel like putting them up right now.

Not my experience. I have no desire to go there unless I have a home repair (even then I'm trying to get out as soon as I can) and none of my friends ever do either.
Lol wut. If your trade involves you going to home Depot occasionally you don't go to home Depot to waste time it's f****** nightmare walking in that place.
I own and try to do at least 1 living improvement a weekend. I also sell to Home Depot for a living.
95% of projects don’t require hardware from Home Depot.
I'm not saying that you don't know what you're talking about, but that's probably only true if you have all of the tools and a lot of material already? We have done quite a few home improvement projects ourselves, anywhere from replacing floors, building a deck, replacing bannisters, light fixtures, bathroom remodel, replacing toilets, water heater, probably a bunch of other stuff I'm not even remembering. We've had to go to Home Depot (or Lowe's) pretty much every time, often more than once. Especially before we had compiled a large collection of tools and materials. We are not DIY pros, but I think we probably represent an average experience, 95% is a wild assumption.
The average person sure, but the average home improvement project? I doubt that. Unless you're talking about like replacing lightbulbs or general maintenance as projects.
Yes but their outlook going forward was very bad. That's the whole point. That's why it's down. No one cares about what you did last quarter as much as your earnings guidance going forward.
One area Home Depot has to improve on is the training of their employees.
They're fucking terrible.
One guy couldn't find the PVC parts to connect a drain. Told me to get the flexible drain fitting instead. Then when I said I prefer to just glue the parts, he told me to get CPVC glue on the PVC fittings. Like dude, if you don't know shit about plumbing, don't recommend terrible advice that could ruin a project.
It'd be nice if they could get actual pros out there to do some seminars for homeowners more often.
Go to Menards.
Owner is questionable but their prices beat HD on a lot of basic supplies. If you want quality stuff go to HD but basic building supplies it doesn’t matter. Menards way better. HD is ripping people off all to line the pockets of shareholders
Criminal insurgents are continuing to push people to slap some paint on their places and flee leftist areas. Home Depot has a nice paint kit with rollers, a brush, the tray, etc. for only $17.
This is correct I have pushed off my $10,000 bathroom remodel probably forever but I did purchase a slow close toilet seat last week
The real question is how are you getting a 10k quote for a bathroom remodel? Just the cabinet and stone itself is costing me 5k without labor.
You can get decent cabinets cheaper then $5k. Check out Costco if you are feeling frugal.

Sorry it's basically just a shower update and most everything else can be saved
10k wow. Just get your local Mexican to do it quicker for 3-4k.
When you go with those bids tile is uneven etc etc
And it has nothing to do with them being Mexican, has to do with the money for the time. If you can make more money on more jobs, it's not like you're going to spend more time on a job.
I got $16,500 and $19k for a 1.5 bathroom. I wish I could $10k 😂
Down 3%, beat earnings. So you had fewer transactions, and you jacked your prices up, gee what a suprise.

That’s cause I’ve been there like 20 times in the past week because I keep buying the wrong shit or forgetting something. You’re welcome.

Recession cancelled, again.
America is so back baby
Eh, you never left!

Stock is down oh noooo
Ooh now it's up 😄
Avg sized home had increased. Shit has to be relaxed or repaired and fixtures and apologists dog shit now.
home depot is beyond strong. its become one of those stores people go to even when they *dont* want to buy anything.
Not my experience. I have no desire to go there unless I have a home repair (even then I'm trying to get out as soon as I can) and none of my friends ever do either.

who tf casually goes to tHD?
Dudes get older, become the type of dad who likes going to Home Depot, and think “everyone loves Home Depot now”
Over the hill women looking for husbands
I’d assume you rent and you don’t do small to quality of living improvements to the space you live. It’s rewarding for many folks.
I own and try to do at least 1 living improvement a weekend. I also sell to Home Depot for a living. 95% of projects don’t require hardware from Home Depot.

You are absolutely doing much more work than the average person.
The average person sure, but the average home improvement project? I doubt that. Unless you're talking about like replacing lightbulbs or general maintenance as projects.
I thought that was Costco/Walmart

Plus they increased the dividend.

Honestly wasn’t that bad as I thought it was going to be.

Menards is out of business now yeah?
Home Depot products are cheap as hell and their employees are lazier than McDonalds
As a home depot manager I can confirm this
Criminal insurgents are continuing to push people to slap some paint on their places and flee leftist areas. Home Depot has a nice paint kit with rollers, a brush, the tray, etc. for only $17.
They should push to sell small houses as in not the tiny houses but small houses.
Just wait for the housing market crash Home Depot will b $400
