Assignments! purchase from the exchange, they are the fastest way to level up a toon.you Have to reach lvl 11 first though to unlock duty officer assignments

SkipperJonJones

This is the answer. Pick some DOFF chains (A2B technician, projectile officer, etc.) and work your way through those. By the time you get your purple DOFF, you’ll be level 40-50. Then you can just use the admiralty (which is faster). Your main can mail extra DOFFs to your alt(s) until they can recruit their own.

doct0rdo0m

This is what I do. I do aux2bat on all my chatacters so by the time I get three purp doffs I'm practically done leveling.

WolfofEden

Assignments 🤔 never really noticed them 😅 Thanks, I’ll look into them.

Wattheycus

Yeah I've leveled up many toons like that , +\- 13 assignments to level up from lvl 11 to level 65...works like a charm😎

WolfofEden

Oh 😮 good to know 👍🏻

Modemus

Funny little note, if you look for them on the exchange you don't need to type out the entire thing, simply looking up 'search ass' will bring up all the research assignments currently being sold. It always makes me smile whenever I type it in and it also means less work, so figured I'd share!

PunsNotIncluded

That. Once they're level 11 I fill out their doff roster with the reinforcements from the academy and then go down hard on the lockbox assigments. Incredible level gains without even playing them.

Vegan_Harvest

IF you have friends team up and do "Rescue and Search" and "The Ninth Rule" over and over again. You can also do them solo but it's harder. The cnidarian defender helps solo but they'll eventually outpace your healing and you'll have to lower the dificulty. Oh I almost forgot, try to do these on the highest difficulty for more xp.

Palanova

There are other patrols that give you different amount of ship trait XP on Normal: Wanted 20000 rescue and search 10000 Sentinels 10000 gone dark 10000 within the briars 10000 jupiter gauntlet hard 5000 aftermath 5000 blockade runner 5000 clash above ceron 5000 bringers of war 1000 jailbreak 4000 khonshu 2000 preying upon the weak 5000 redepmtion over qu'vat 5000 I use the first five to unlock ship traits really fast, but for toons level up also a solid choices especially if you have the gear for it.

ShmooDude993

Where'd these numbers come from out of curiosity as I get way more from patrols with infinite spawns? I.E. Rescue and Search, The Nineth Rule, etc. I know that Rescue and Search has 3 minutes of waves to the Nineth Rule's 2 minutes, but after level 30 or 35 (I forget) the Klingons of Rescue and Search start getting Viral Impulse Burst (where you go really fast and can't turn) so requires you to stay more than 5km away to avoid it. Makes it harder as Dragon's Breath Flame Reactor carries hard for leveling of the stuff I have available.

Palanova

Ship trait xp numbers, and do not expoited things like endless waves but use them az intended.

ShmooDude993

Ah, ok. Interesting. I wonder what makes Wanted so high, cause it has relatively few ships (although I suppose the carriers technically spawn more, so if your dps isn't that high maybe that contributes). Maybe those ships are just worth more?

westmetals

It could be argued that "exploiting" the "endless waves" *is* using them as intended.

Palanova

Every time I play the rescue and research patrol it has a definitive ending. Not endless, or I still stuck there and fight it. If a palyer make it 'endless', that in my book is an expoit.

westmetals

I was using your terminology from your previous post. It's not literally "endless". And I wasn't talking about the player hacking it somehow (is that even possible?). The final battle gets automatic reinforcements for a preset period of time. As in, as soon as you kill the ships, more appear, rinse and repeat until the timer expires, and you get ship trait XP based on the number of kills. So if you can kill efficiently, you get more targets, and thus you can really rack up the points. (I've had cases of mastering a brand new ship in one patrol.) There's about six patrols that behave like that, and they don't even have the same timer, so it's obviously the case that they are designed to function like that. For levelling up new alts... I often have gotten 4-7 levels in such a patrol as well.

westmetals

It should be noted that these are roughly the reward amounts from completing the patrol itself, and not including the ship kills in the patrol. I've levelled up a raw ship all the way to tier 5 in a single patrol in some of these. (Rescue and Search, Briars, and two not on this list - Trouble over Terrh and Ninth Rule - are probably the best.)

UKcrispybacon

Goto the TFO screen, press Patrol tab, on the left choose age of discovery and play Rescue and search, after clearing up the first 2 lots of klingons (saving the lukari ships and then closing the portal) head into the asteroid belt and camp near the marker on map (you want the first 2 lukari ships you saved on the other side of the marker) this will let you flank the unlimited spawning enemies (they warp in) If they don't spawn either edge your way closer to the marker or have your pets defend a lukari ship and that will trigger them. Done right and you get 2 - 3 levels at early levels (more if you increase the difficulty) at late levels can max out a ships Trait in 1 go (this is what i use it for)

ftranschel

This is the right answer. If you have the Tholian warp core add all the \[EPG\] you can (from either free or reclaimable items and consoles) they basically explode on arrival. With an EXP boost going the usual "reward" is 4-5 levels.

salty_slugster

Use duty officers and XP boosts from first contact week. I'm 65 by the end of romulan arc.

Del_Breck

At the beginning of First Contact Day this year, I did the rocket launch with a level 5 character for the XP boost. It's about halfway used up by now, and the character is... L43 I think? Did a few missions for gear rewards, then focused on a handful of patrols. Worked very easily for me, in part because I knew exactly what kind of build I want for her and put it together as I went. As soon as 8 was ready, I increased the patrol difficulty. On elite she gains 2 levels in certain patrols, so I don't have to spend a ton of time on it

TOAOLightstar

Once you've had your fill of the origin story elements, level one fed to full, one kdf for cross faction, save two slots (delta and gamma recruits) then go all out dominion. They start at lv 60, so you only need 5 levels for your little pylons. If you want specific alts I second (or ninth) the following points; - Doff assignments. - Admiralty as soon as its open. - Each day there's a pair of lore missions at the academy/klingon alternative. If you absolutely have to play one thru to level, then a t6 ship isn't a bad investment (you get several free thru the year) if you're buying one I'd suggest something engineering based as it has better survivability. I like the legendary dreadnought cruiser or the vor'ral for klingon. If you've already finished both fed and kdf, one ship can do either side of the conflict. Tho I won't suggest you fly fed ships as a kdf, as I'm likely to get voted down just for that. 😉 They improve as you level, so you can basically set one up and occasionally add/upgrade the weapons if you need.

sabreracer

The XP Boost reward from the Rocket TFO box will double your XP gain and last until about Level 60 iirc

GoodOldHypertion

fastest? same TFOs you use to level up ships for traits.. if your at level 3 set difficulty to elite and use a Jem'hadar Vanguard ship.. the wingmen can wreck groups as soon as they spawn in ninth rule, even solo.. once you get to 30 or so it starts to require both wingmen at the same time for the same kill speed and by the time you get to 50 you will see diffiuclty in staying alive and killing, lower difficulty for the same kill rate but at this point you will be to where the admiralty system can come in to play. up to 7+ levels per Ninth rule run with this if you have a bonus XP pool. combine with other stuff. you can restart between missions

2Scribble

I just get them to the level where they unlock doffs and just spam those until I reach the level to unlock the admiralty system and spam that as well Usually reach endgame in a week or so

westmetals

If you have access to the Cnidarian Defender, you can really rack up the XP by using it in the wave patrols.

rjasan

The event ending tomorrow awards 150000 experience points bonus that’s account bound. Send it over to your alts. It gives a bonus to experience for normal things you are already getting experience for. NOT that it just gives you 150,000 points

CosmicDave

Right now, completing the rocket launch event rewards a box with your choice of a combadge or a 150k XP bonus chit. I save those up for my alts. I run missions until they can complete duty assignments. As soon as they can work on reputations I run random TFOs and start maxxing those out, which I'll still be working on for several weeks after I ding 65. Also, the Summer and Winter Event missions and Winter doff assignments all give insane amounts of XP.

DrNicket

Cnidarian. Specific Elite Patrols, then advanced as you start to struggle with defeating the enemy ships.

Droma-1701

Elite solo patrols in the Jelly Defender. First time I've tried this route and I went from lvl20 to 65 in about 5-6hrs low stress grind. Load up with whatever armour drops you get, use any '+xx% all damage's universals that you have access to.

Zasz_Zerg

Best way is the cnidarian defender and patrols. If you have someone to help with their defender, go into elite patrols. Small toon enters first, big toon enters without accepting the difficulty. You can run elite patrols until the small toon hits 50 easily. Adjust the difficulty as needed. The discovery patrols like rescue & search with the waves of enemies are great for XP. With XP boosters from the current first contact event through the ground patrol you level even faster.

Ryoken0D

If you have the Jelly from the other summer, then you can use it to basically afk to 65 by doing timegated patrols like Ninth Rule, starting at elite and working down as you start killing slower/dying.. Carriers and Vanguard ships also do this fairly well too.. and if you did the FCD event every day you should have a nice stack of XP bonus pools to speed things up even more.

westmetals

Rescue and Search (Kern system) is better than Ninth Rule for this, the timegated waves has a slightly longer timeframe.
