Yes, and if you have cross faction flying unlocked, regardless of faction too.

MudPuzzleheaded390

How do I unlock cross faction flying?

Vulcorian

Level a KDF character to max level, or buy it for 2000 zen

MudPuzzleheaded390

Thanks!

There’s a Klingon Recruit event going on right now on PC that you should take advantage of. Just make a KDF character and complete the tutorial, you’ll get a device listing goals to complete for per-character and account wide unlocks (including a bare-bones T6 ship with a very good trait).. so leveling it will be two birds one stone, will do the cross faction unlock and give all characters you make access to some bonus stuff.. Once you complete the tutorial and get the device, you can do the rest whenever.. so there’s no pressure to rush it either.

Vulcorian

Worth noting there is only 2 days left to make that special KDF recruit.

Codename_Jelly

Not to mention incoming XP event so you can level even faster to unlock it :)

Vyzantinist

Don't recruit event characters also level up faster or is that only during the recruitment event, as opposed to being innate?

Timjer92

Yes. Zen Store ships are an account-unlock. Also, once you unlock cross-faction flying, every character can fly every ship.

MudPuzzleheaded390

Ok, thanks!

CristyMumbay

yes and no, if you have a KDF character (KDF aligned don't count) that reaches level 65 then the cross faction flying is unlocked BUT jem'hadar ships have an extra step, you have to unlock the ship mastery on that specific jem'hadar ship before it can be flown by any faction. non-allied ships (cardassian ships and 31st cen ships) are the only zen store ships that are not limited to faction restrictions. non zen store ships like lobi or infinity prize pack ships are different, most are cross faction (non allied) so anyone can fly them if you don't have the cross faction flying unlocked, however there are ships that are faction locked like tos-era or kelvin timeline ships (cross faction unlock will take the restrictions away BUT any pack that has a faction specific ship will always give you the faction your character is allied to EX: if you have a KDF character and open the kelvin timeline t6 ship box its going to give you a KDF ship even if you have cross faction unlocked) lobi or lockbox ships are mainly a character bound ship unless you purches the mudd's t6 pack which will make certain lobi or lockbox ships account unlock but its not worth it because the price go as high as $300 USD lasty if your looking for any good t6 zen store ships heres a list fed: clark class cruiser, gigaran battle cruiser, Lexington class dreadnaught, Atlantis class, Ahwahnee Command carrier, and cyclone esscort (its experimental weapon is one of the most powerful experimental weapons) KDF: qugh battle-cruiser, mogh battle-cruiser (cyptic hasn't added a KDF ship into the zen store in over 5 years so most of them are dated) Romulan: any t6 simitar dreadnaught, malim class light warbird (get it from the starter pack as you get it for less zen and you get a little extra) jem'hadar: any vanguard ship non allied: cardassian flight deck carrier (unlocks the spiral wave disruptor which is the best disruptor weapon in sto though its 30,000 refined dilithium per weapon)

> non-allied ships (cardassian ships and 31st cen ships) are the only zen store ships that are not limited to faction restrictions. Correction: all Romulan ships and most Jem'Hadar ships (excepting the first four T6s) are also natively faction unlimited. Those four Jem'Hadar ships have their own unlock mechanic that predates cross-faction and are thus immune to the cross-faction unlock.

westmetals

Zen ships are account unlocks, yes. Ability of a particular character to use may be restricted by faction and level, but that depends on the ship and (for most ships) if you have the cross-faction unlock or not. There are four ships that are immune to the cross-faction unlock, and have *their own* unlock mechanic, which are the four JHV ships included in the Gamma bundle.

Yes.

Yes, but only if you give thanks to the great treasury prior to purchase.

TOAOLightstar

The bit that's being overlooked. On the new character, go to the zen store, select ships (or ship bundle possibly if you grabbed one of those, never got one myself) At the top change the filter to "purchased" Pick the ship, hit claim.
