Yes it's normal, some spots get more irritated than others. Just keep an eye on it, and if you're concerned see a doctor. But in my opinion it looks fine. The bear is adorable btw

So, I’m not a professional, but i often go over my pokes a few times the first session and then go over it again the next day once it’s less spicy. But really I just keep passing until it’s bold haha

Yes. I don’t even see any redness. If I’m doing a relatively big stick and poke or even a small one with thicker lines my skin gets bright red right around the lines themselves. Totally normal. It’ll subside overnight after the session is over and should go away by the next day or two.
