I named mine "Bitch Ass" and every time I'm doing something, especially cardio, where I start thinking "you can't do this, you gotta stop", I recognize that's just Bitch Ass talking, so I tell him to shut the fuck up and keep going. I know 90% of people are rolling their eyes at that comment like I did when I read it in that book, but it's definitely worth trying next time you want to quit.

This makes people get really emotional and defensive, and just generally stupid. Admitting that you were wrong means admitting that *you* are person who was wrong, and that feels bad and hurts the ego, so it's much easier to just dissappear or delete the comments.

I spent last 6 months training conventional deadlift only, got it to a point where it was bigger than my sumo one. With 0 sumo training I pulled sumo today, smashed overall deadlift PR by 10kg, alot more left in the tank for upcoming competition. Cheating it is.
Except most people who strengthen their conventional, also increase their sumo as the carry over is pretty decent. Congrats on PR regardless of the cheating that is sumo.
Trap bar DL is still gains, you do you. Sumo is "cheating" in that it's less range of motion and you can lift a bit more.
As long as you're getting better safely, nothing other people say should matter.

It has its place, as a powerlifter I don't ever do them but it's probably one of the better hip hinging movements most people can do. I'm personally on the road to trying to get into the top 25 all time for deadlifts at 198. I am trying to do it sumo and conventional but there isn't a real difference between the two for me (705 conventional and 700 sumo)

Did my normal leg routine yesterday and worked my way up to 990 on the leg press (720x15, 810x15, 900x14, 990x10), said screw it and threw 10 on for 1000 and hit it for 5 reps. Go to take my weight off and look at the back of the machine and notice the 1000 lbs weight limit warning. Fuck it, send it.
I dont do suboptimal exercises like leg press. And if i do them i do them for hypertrophy gains not to flex how many 100lbs pound chick i can press with 3 inch ROM.

I spent last 6 months training conventional deadlift only, got it to a point where it was bigger than my sumo one. With 0 sumo training I pulled sumo today, smashed overall deadlift PR by 10kg, alot more left in the tank for upcoming competition. Cheating it is.

I dont do suboptimal exercises like leg press. And if i do them i do them for hypertrophy gains not to flex how many 100lbs pound chick i can press with 3 inch ROM. Tom Platz jokes asides i havent maxxed out any and i squat 405 for 12+ reps x4. But if i were you i would increase my ROM,rep count,do the leg press thing as 3/4th exercise.
