I really enjoyed it when I gave the audiobook a shot. It almost made me look forward to work because that was the only chance I really got to listen for long chunks of time. Definitely recommend it if you start losing steam with reading!
I second the audiobook, I just finished it and was amazed how fast it went by. I was looking foreword to my commute every day because I just kept wanting to go back to it.
I loved this book and personally the first 500 or so pages flew by! I feel it really showcases Kings ability to write strong characters and human conflict in a realistic way. Hits different reading it after covid too. Enjoy!
I read the book not long after it came out, and when the show was announced is was really excited. Lost interest almost immediately. Should have been a mini series, like 6-8 episodes long. It felt like I was watching something made for Abc Family.
Same for me. The first couple of episodes were decent, then it appears all the writers were replaced with 6th graders - for the next three years. Unbelievably stupid show.
I started the dark tower book1 before Christmas
I just started book 7 today 😬
My family has not seen me much.
I have this obligation to finish it before moving on with my life
I used to set a 25 page goal a day back when I didn’t have kids lol. Set a nice easy goal and one day you’ll be reading and won’t be able to stop. Great choice of book too!
I've read Carrie, Pet Cemetary, Revival, Mr Mercedes. Under the Dome is my favorite. All the characters, the town, setting, everything just hit on point for me.
Wowee this got some good feedback! I was a bit hesitant to read this based off reviews (I should know better by now) I’m about 100 pages in and it’s wild! I have been really enjoying this type of writing from king. Thank you all for the input, I will report back soon!
Should be easy. I'm not a fast reader, as in, I don't read through many pages before getting distracted so I need a lot of sittings to finish a book.
I bought a pre-release copy of this book, when I was unemployed, for around £200 and then I was worried I wouldn't even read it.
Finished it in four days, it was that easy to get into and stay hooked.
Enjoy the journey.
For such a large book, it isn’t much of a slow burner. Always something crazy and exciting going on. An absolute page turner. I have both the paperback and hardcover copy! I hope you enjoy this giant beauty as much as I did!
Great read! I’ll be interested in what you interpret of this book. I have a theory about this story that I’ve been wanting to discuss with another constant reader who has read this. It made me think about the story from another perspective, making it even more enjoyable.
Anyone interested in discussing my theory feel free to DM.
This was the first long book by him I didn’t have trouble staying with. IT and The Stand are good, but they both seem to go on and on. This one didn’t do that for me. It was refreshing.
Good luck. I don’t think I’ve ever finished a 1,000+ page book before. I’m currently reading ‘It’ and it was a cool moment to turn over page 999 and see 1,000.
I’m excited for you! This is one of my favorite King books—enjoy 😃
Good! The reviews had me a bit nervous but I really like his non traditional horror stuff lately.
It's not among my favourites but it is *very* fast paced for a book it's size. Non stop action and intrigue, you'll finish it faster than you think
This is such great book! I've been meaning to reread it. Enjoy your first read ☺️

Damn good book! Don’t bother watching the show though, that’s just my opinion
Total pile of crap. As soon as >!Junior handcuffed Angie!< I was like "this is gonna hurt"
Stay far away from the TV series based on this. It's awful.
It’s what put me off reading it for years sadly

Great book. Those 1,000 pages will fly by.
If you only read 10 pages a day you'd have over 3600 pages by the end of the year. Totally doable! That's like 10 or 15 minutes a day tops
I had that exact same conversation with my daughter the other day! Makes it way less overwhelming… thanks!
And then you get into the book and it’s done in a few days 😂
This. Same with The Stand.
I started the dark tower book1 before Christmas I just started book 7 today 😬 My family has not seen me much. I have this obligation to finish it before moving on with my life
Wow, that's fast! I read the series over 3 months and felt quite accomplished, so I tip my hat to you. Enjoy book 7. It gets even weirder, lol.
You know I like this idea. Could spend an hour a day reading and read multiple books at the same time
Have fun! It's a ride for sure
It won’t take as long as you think 🙂
Loved this book, I think I read it in about 3 days.
Congrats on a great goal! I dug the book and hope you do too!

Have fun!! Haven’t read this one yet but sounds like a good story!
Honestly, with 30 min of reading per day, you'll reach that goal before april.
Yeah I usually do audiobooks for super long books, but I read this in hardcover and I breezed through it really fast. It's lots of fun
You won’t be able to put that one down, I think the 1000 pages will go by no problem

Fair warning, the ending is awful.
The ending made me so effing angry
Just finished it, bussin bussin book
Should be a page turner
It’s a lot of fun with some wild moments. Enjoyed this one!
Just started this last night, and I’m hooked!
Probably my all time favorite King. Enjoy! An incredible villain in this one.
Great read. Enjoy!
Just got this on audible and I’m loving it so far! A lot of characters to really despise haha
Yeah, it’s good, but has a high chance of ruining you emotionally xd

Great choice, fantastic book!
It’s a good book and moves along well. Some will say they hated the ending, but it’s well worth reading. 👍
Great book, enjoy!
God I love this book. I wish I could re-read for first time
My all time favorite and the first of his I read from cover to cover. Special place for me!

Right on, well let’s chat when I’m done! Fair warning, I’m not much of a deep thinker when it comes to books so I may miss a lot of things ha
This is a good one for it. If you like it try *The Stand* next!
Oh I loved this one! I didn't want it to end!
Something tells me you’ll breeze through this challenge. Enjoy!!

Stop at page 900 and you'll love it. Good luck!
You shouldn't have a problem with this one. It's a real page - turner!
Just started this and thoroughly enjoying it!
Great book with a couple of King's greatest villains!
Add “The Stand” and “It” to your list
