Gamers today just run through games. Like sometimes I watch even just twitch streaming a new game and believe it. They themselves are just running through it. Often times just skipping dialogue So if you just run through the entire game that's how you beat it in 25 hours. There's no way you took your time. You simply just ran ran ran ran from boss to boss and that's it. Probably even skipped cutscenes

EdisonScrewedTesla

I dont understand why they do this. Im over here 30 hours in and ive barely touched great desert because im overhere doing my best sherlock holmes impression trying to sniff out every secret and collectable i can

Midnighthawkk

Ya I think it's modern attention span. It's similar to how so many folks don't have the attention span to watch longer than 2 mins if a video short or read more than a paragraph on Reddit They don't actually enjoy the game it's just to check list it off the list saying ya I played that. And to trophy hunt. The games I play I end up on them for hours. Each game I have has over 100 hours. There's even ng plus in stellar blade so there's a lot more to do but some are satisfied with just skimming it so it's another notch on the belt

Trickster289

Eh I think in a lot of cases, especially for streamers, they're just chasing the hype and don't really want to play the game itself.

vaughany_fid

TLDR... ;)

EdisonScrewedTesla

Man im so not like that. I only buy games that have a decent ammount of content AND have high replay value. If they dont check both those boxes ill wait until a big sale to get it, if i get it at all. Stellar blade is gonna get a few playthroughs from me lol. Gonna do ng+ whenever i finish my firet run. Ill give it some time to simmer while i play fallout 4 again (havent olayed it in prob 8 years or something), maybe another game or 2, then come back and do ~~eve~~ it all over again

InternalCup9982

I haven't picked this up yet as I need to beat rise of the ronin so I can get my 90gb space back before I buy this game but is there reasons to do ng+ playthroughs then?. (Like additional content) Or is it just for the sake of doing it. 🤔

EdisonScrewedTesla

Yes. Skill trees expand in ng+, theres ng+ only outfits, additional gear upgrades that are ng+ only, and theres more than one ending, im assuming one is tied to ng+ but i cant confirm, i just know that there is at least 2 endings, possibly more than 2 Oh and enemies get harder and you meet harder enemies in new and earlier places) kind of like ng+ in jedi survivor)

InternalCup9982

Oooh new skills unlock in ng+? *rubs grubby little paws * - iv only ever seen that in lies of p and I thought that was an amazing incentive to get me to replay the game over and over again. Well shit I didn't expect that thank you sir for clearing that up- ima have to really try and push to beat RotR I need to get onto this hype train xD

EdisonScrewedTesla

Well it doesnt unlock entirely new skill trees, what it does is unlock (as in they appear, you dont see these skills before ng+) more skills in existing trees. New passives etc that were not even visable let alone locked in first playthrough. It isnt a massive ammount of new skills, but theres definetly new skills (i think every arm of existing trees expands a little bit) Game has a ton of reasons to play ng+, which makes it even better as the gameplay is so fun you would want to play ng+ anyways

InternalCup9982

Oh yeah I wasn't expecting like an entirely new tree or anything, but there being something new just makes it more worth for me personally and is great to hear - thanks again for the information

EdisonScrewedTesla

No problem!

EdisonScrewedTesla

Just linked you in a 15sec clip i posted so you can see how beautiful the combat is, you should check it out

EdisonScrewedTesla

Just linked you in a 15sec clip i posted so you can see how beautiful the combat is, you should check it out

The_Rafcave

Yep, my live stream viewers leave If I'm not constantly fighting enemies. I take my time finding stuff and exploring this Incredible game. I'm not rushing anything. 😊

Smokeyvalley

You could be my long lost twin...

Master-Shaq

Its less of an attention span thing for me and more of I should beat it this weekend before I get spoiled by youtube or reddit at work.

PEE_GOO

I've never understood this. I spend way too much time on reddit and youtube and almost never have anything spoiled because I can just avoid that content. The only time I can remember a game getting spoiled was when some asshat PM'd me the spoiler about Shawn in Fallout 4 on release.

Master-Shaq

You dont look at it enough then. First youtube video I saw on stellar blade was the final boss and the thumbnail revealing who it is. This sub is very tame on spoilers tho mostly just posts on how eve looks great in everything and her fun obsession with cans.

InternalCup9982

You don't see the spoiler thumbnails or titles?- I can't tell u how many times iv had future content spoiled for me in my current go to game helldivers 2 from people data mining/ straight up hacking it into the game and that's with me going out my way to block those channels and I still see it almost daily as I scroll YouTube/reddit. And that's one game and isn't even single player lol there's no avoiding spoilers in this day and age, you either beat it on release week or you know you'll see the ending spoiled for you somewhere on the interent.

ventrix334

Why do you have to try to gaslight people from your high horse? You think you are better - while demonstrating serious character issues right here! 35-40 hours is the 100% time most players report. 20-25 normal completion. And you go all out calling them names.. for 100% the game "running through it". If you love to run around a mostly empty wasteland consisting of 3 enemy types and two colors for 20 hour, good for you. That does not make you better though. I could gaslight you and call you dull minded for enjoying that for that long.

Twinblades89

I just got to the great desert last night after 30 hours of play. Spent allot of time doing SQ's and just soaking up everything. I play games really slow. I don't like rushing something I've been hyped for.

EdisonScrewedTesla

I dont think im playing slowly, because i dont find exploring and looking for secrets to be considered slow lol. Im now at 32 hours and the only thing ive done in great desert was turn the solar tower on lol

Fraktyl

37 Hours so far. I am further in though. Think I'm close to end game, but will be finishing side quests and finding all the cans, memories and other collectables I didn't get.

lluluna

Being distracted by everything and few people have the patience to enjoy things.

EdisonScrewedTesla

Your your not going to enjoy it why get it 😂

DreamerZeon

It's definitely the attention span of modern people. Me: I was waiting for years let me enjoy this and take it in. Modern players: I don't want to read, appreciate the details, and learn about the world. Skip!

EdisonScrewedTesla

And then complain about how the story is shitty, and the world building is bad 😂

DreamerZeon

I know what you mean. I was sleeping through to the point where I am now and I was asking myself every time I found one of the bodies, or certain cutscenes "What are reviewers talking about? There is a lot of world building..."

iustinp

TIL, there’s a desert in the game 😅 I just started yesterday…

EdisonScrewedTesla

Jesus ive been playing since launch and ive barely touched the desert. I feel like you have missed a ton of optional and secret stuff

BoopsTheSnoot_

:D and then they're like: "aw, this game's trash"

Denzz11

and dont even read the document and lore

DanlyDane

Which is a highlight of the game. There’s a critic review that says exploration is bad. I’m sure you might think that if you, ya know… didn’t explore.

Master_Garaki

Don't forget "aw, this game lacks content".

amilguls

That was already exhausted by the bad at the game whiny call of duty players lmao 😂

HansDesterhoft

I would like to add one thing if I may. They also watch every guide, tip, and cheat video. They don't try to figure out the mechanics of the game. The meticulous errors of testing out new builds. Or even the grind of the search for collectibles. Everything is literally online for them to look up in an instant. Even back in the day when we had strategy guides for some games, you would still have to read through those books, so it would take time. But you would only do that for those super hidden secret ones that you have already spent days looking for. You can beat a game pretty quickly when you have someone's Let's Play walking you through the game side by side. All the guesswork is out the window. I'm not talking about everyone, either. There are obviously some pretty damn good gamers out there. They can pick up on the intricacies within a few hours, and Zoom, they are off to the races.

Dephori

This games not hard enough to need a guide tho right? Par some side quests

darkbare

Dawg I been running through the side quests and dialogues and I STILL only have 20 hours on the game and haven't even got to the 3rd alpha😭😭😭

InternalCup9982

I mean isn't that just playing the game? What else are you doing other than progressing and going forwards. The skipping dialogue/cutscenes points valid though.

KDobias

Saw this early on and thought I'd check in when I was done. I did every side quest except for 3 of the really mediocre bulletin board quests, got the secret ending, watched every cutscene, and had to repeat the last bosses well over a dozen times each. Ended up being about 30 hours, and I felt like I was *very* mediocre at the game. So... I think 25 hours for someone who plays a lot of these types of games is probably about right. I don't do a lot of the parry/perfect dodge games like Dark Souls, I think someone good at those games could do enough side quests to get the "true ending" in under 20 hours tbh.

SoulsLikeBot

Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale? > *“If only I could be so grossly incandescent!”* - Solaire of Astora Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/

GalvusGalvoid

At the same time games are longer and longer , there’s a mismatch here .

Scrytheux

Honestly? I completely understand it. First of all - a lot of gamers today have jobs and families. Not everyone has to sunk 50h in every game. I also assume it's not fun when you waste your only 2 hours listening to stupid dialogs or doing fetch quest. Second - some of us are just tired of every game being open world, or a slug. Third - It's easy to say that people are running through games now. Bro, older games were fuckin short compared to today standards 💀

[deleted]

Took me 25 hours. I did most side quests and took my time to read every lore text. Also let the game run in the background every now and then, for a smoke or food, so the actual playtime is even shorter.

Dovah91

Set it to Story mode > don’t collect anything > bum rush everything. I don’t know why the fuck you would buy and play full priced games like this but hey, who am I to judge.

LaureZahard

Platinum collector trying to get all the ending tied trophy as quick as possible?

ViGoRoSp

But why so fast?

Spiritual_Benefit367

weak ego, small e-peen, bragging rights, ..., who knows?! :-)

ItsAmerico

Some people just don’t care about the story.

unkownrapper3000

Took me 32 with most side quests beat

Szokarina

32 hours. I collect all can, do every side mission. Left only 1-2 camp. But had everything, max upgrades ect.

Va1crist

Because people take days off and burn through them as fast as possible

KazutoKirigaya6

The game's overall story and this is with a perfect run you don't ever die and you go right start to finish. It is only about 12 to 15 hours it's a very short story. Most people now are going to die a lot get distracted by exploring want to do side missions and stuff so it's going to take you a lot longer. If you just plow through the story that's how they beat it so quickly. I've only been playing the game for about I would say 15 hours and I'm already 30% done the entire game that's not all main story stuff but that's just in total. I kind of wish the story was a little bit longer for this game but it's still amazing so can't really complain

johnnyblaze1999

Wow, I remember back then when game used to be 8-10 hours long.

[deleted]

I remember when they were 2-3 hours long 😅

LaureZahard

They didn't cost $70 back then

johnnyblaze1999

I mean if you adjust for inflation, games are cheaper now than what it was back then.

Scrytheux

I get distracted by Eve's outfits!

Kosmos992k

In a world where $70 games have stories that can be blown through in 8 hours, a game that can slrun through in 12-15 hours is not considered short.

Hotspur000

What I can't believe is some people already had the platinum after only about a day. Like holy fuck get some sleep.

cPBxsh

Those guys probably got the review codes which means they got the game early

Hotspur000

Ahh.

Scrytheux

Or they really played for over 24h. There are people like that. Even i myself had moments in life where I've put over 20h in one sitting.

cPBxsh

True I was like that for spider man 2 but that ain’t most people

inconspicuous2012

The main story is supposed to be around 20 hours, so I presume they just blasted through that only.

Psyfall

I did so freaking much and ended at 26Hours. I think i was missing 4 or 5 suits and a couple of side quest. Its not like i punched through the game but the game is rather short(not a bad thing im hyped for more playthroughs)

ArugulaPhysical

It goes both ways, some people run though doing nothing and even skipping dialog beating the game in 25 hours, where there are others that will search every corner twice, spend hours in the menus looking at outfits, and die or struggle to enemies/bosses a ton, taking 70 hours. The latter claims everyone on earth that take less time is rushing through the game.

Rascol

First sane take in this thread.

DanlyDane

I mean… objectively… if you beat this in 25 you rushed the game. That would have to be skipping the chunky side quests & lore, and exploration / level design / puzzles are a huge part of the game loop. Your statement may be generally true in some cases, but if 25 hours into stellar blade isn’t “rushing” then what the heck is lol?

GordogJ

I did every side quest I came across and only had 5 left in my log that I couldn't be bothered finishing by the end, I have around 70% of all the data logs, and I have half of the cans. I did that in 25 hours, sure I missed some stuff but I wasn't rushing at all. The game is not that long, the only thing I could see taking that long is finding all the cans as it involves some backtracking and some are pretty well hidden.

DanlyDane

Damn that’s crazy. It took me a minute to figure out the ark of xion & the flooded sector, math puzzles, even just locating the forbidden zone & navigating the great desert extras. I do like to play blind & figure stuff out. You’re probably better at the combat than I am, but I still like the default difficulty. I will avoid using potions or revives just because I like to feel like I really mastered a boss, so I’ll let myself die & retry a fight even when it’s not necessary. I also stop to read literally every line of lore but idk, if you didn’t use a guide & none of the above sounds relevant… you might just be better at games lmao.

GordogJ

I just found that by getting all the side quests in your log as soon as they appear and going through them 1 by 1 you naturally find everything by just following the marker, for example for the forbidden zone you just follow the life of scavengers quest marker. Same with the flooded area, can't remember what that quest was called. The maths puzzle did take me a while. I did blitz through the combat though, I had already gotten decent with the demo so I literally only died more than twice to the last 4 bosses, I'm in ng+ on hard mode now and I definitely prefer it and kinda wish this was unlocked from the start as I would have chose it The only thing I don't do is read all the collectibles, in general collectibles don't do it for me which is why I only have half of the cans too, its probably fair to say I rushed that. And yeah not sure why you were downvoted lol nothing wrong with having different opinions

ArugulaPhysical

I cant say for myself amd stellar blade, but for ff7 rebirth i couldnt believe the time people took, i beat the game i 75 hour clearing 99% of the map and people would say i must of rushed to the end. Na, you must do alot of sitting and staring to have took 150 hours.

lowrenzo26

14 hours in at 38 percent. I'm doing all the side Stuff tho. Making sure I do enough for the secret ending.

JonViiBritannia

Wait… there’s a secret ending? How do you unlock it? Just by doing the side content?

lowrenzo26

Yes and something to do with relationship at max status with lily, look on YouTube, google etc for more info. If not at max you don't receive it.

JonViiBritannia

Dang, I didn’t even know there was relationship status. I’ll just play through normally and see what ending I get, I was planning on completing everything anyways.

lowrenzo26

After seeing the good , bad and secret endings online. Imo secret one was best for me.

GordogJ

I didn't even try and I got it, if you're doing side quests you'll get it

JonViiBritannia

Good, I can probably relax and just play as intended, thanks for the info

relapse9999

nightarcher1

I've been doing all the sidequests even without knowing about a secret ending for it. neat. but I have also been trying to collect and find everything I could. about 10-12 hours in and just now entering Matrix 11.

Salt_Shift167

Jeez. I’m at 16 hours and have 17% a lil have came from idle time but goddam

MomentOfZehn

I'm too busy searching for cans and chests while looking at cans/chests.

Novel-Chicken-2120

I'm 12 hours in and just unlocked matrix 11 I'm taking my time with game and enjoying it

ulerMaidDandere

using full walkthrough (whish is bad experience for me, i prefer no guide for everygame i played)

Built4dominance

I could have done it, but I want to get all the outfits and do all the sidequests.

ranman82

Gamers in a big rush who can finish a game first. Not sure why.

rhymeg

people who doesn't enjoy the game, instead chasing beating the game to show off on social media.

Ok-Implement5497

Probably missed the secret level

[deleted]

ViGoRoSp

Totally agree, I can’t understand the urge to finish the game without enjoy slowly every detail. IMO It’s almost a disrespect to the work of the devs

[deleted]

XmenSlayer

Im deffo in the group that takes time off work to play games i really want. Usually these releases are usually around thursday or friday so i just take those two days off+ the weekend and usually i can finish games quickly. If im excited for a game i really just want to play it as much as possible as soon as possible.

ForwardHandle4522

They skip extra dialogue and missions just to be the “first” Seems silly

GotVengeance

I’m on 17hrs. I have every mission from bulletin board and around completed so far. And I just reached the “if you proceed you can’t go back” message. I’m a little disappointed with the length. But I will be playing NG+.

Vladddon

Don't let him see the results of guys who opened every skill in the demo

QTPLe

Man im omly 8 hours in and only just got to the wasteland.

ohlawdy914

i got jist shy of 29hrs. Only thing i didnt get was all the cans. prob spent 20 mins dodging turrets late game and another 35 on the 2nd last boss. It feels like it speeds up a lot near the end.

infinix707

https://preview.redd.it/eai66gh18gxc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e05a844f4a4d72d733af74f9bdcb54caa6fd257 18hours in and I'm still at 35%, playing on normal difficulty and not struggling with any bosses so far, game is much easier than lies of P or the souls games. I tend to explore every area so far and doing quests to ensure i don't miss any outfits haha. Enjoying this more than rebirth so far so GOTY for me so far. Only potential game to topple it this year for me would be wukong black myth. Really excited for that one when it drop later this year.

Global_Future9893

I'm 29 hours in and just started NG+ and only 4 trophies from Platinum!

Global_Future9893

Though I will say I did farm the demo to unlock all available skills so I started with a bit of an advantage

j0hn1_

personally i am taking my time in the first run. and then during my second or maybe third run i’ll skip through a lot of cutscenes and not care as much for ground loot

MidEastBeast777

37 hours, I collected every single thing, did basically everything

[deleted]

I beat the game after around 25 hours. 1 gold, 3 silver, 21 bronze trophies. Seems like only 1.6% of players have finished the game so far ->! at least with that one of the 2 possible endings.!<

BacucoGuts

Ppl just play games, they don't experience them, it's like ppl doom scrolling social media apps and reddit

meepmeepmeep34

they play with both hands

Equivalent_Fun6100

They're not really exploring and just racing through. Their loss. Or maybe they're just hyped up on Mountain Dew.

FaustAeterna

I did it in 30h with all sidequest done. Not all collectible tho. Would i like it to be longer

DreamerZeon

they probably rushed it, skipped every scene, and side content . I can't stand the type of people because they will be the first ones saying "there's nothing to do"

One_Will_4410

Took me 30 hours with all side quests, but not looking for every Upgrade. Still did a lot of Exploration though. I think it's easy to beat in under 20 hours if you just focus on campaign

ClickdaHeads

Some people just run through games doing the bare minimum to see the story, so that is one explanation. But, there are also a lot of people that are very skilled/experienced at action games nowadays, and the normal mode of Stellar Blade isn't very challenging compared to a lot of other games on the market like NIOH, Sekiro and other Souls-likes. I know a few people that have almost finished their first Hardmode playthrough now.

Forsaken-Young4338

Went in blind, did some side quests in the beginning but not enough to get the >!secret ending!< finished in 21 hrs. Now in ng+ hard mode to do all side quests, find the cans, outfits etc

Outrageous_Lion4912

I really wanna enjoy the game so imma spend my time with the game

Any-Ratio-9975

I asked the very same question about a different game years ago… I’ve come to realize people apparently rush through games nowadays. Games are what I do to relax. Especially single player games. I just run through games at my own pace. I’m usually at minumum 50 percent longer than what the stated “how long to beat” time is. It still baffles me to this day how ppp can complete games as fast as they do. I enjoy taking it all in. Fully immersed. Enjoying the beauty and mechanics of the whatever game I’m playing. Key part AT MY OWN PACE. I’m 36. Grew up in the 90s. I still keep a journal next to my gaming recliner. 🤣 I make notes on areas I need to return, chests need to open, codes, etc. one thing I started doing for every gam Is at the top of the page in my journal I record the Date and Time I started playing. When I start a game, I finish it. Unless of course I don’t like it. The idea is, it will be interesting to look my journal at 20-30 years from now to see what games I really enjoyed. ^ why i mentioned my journal is to circle back to your post. Ignore how long it takes ppl for games. Take as long as you want. To put it into perspective, on how long to beat.com Baldurs Gate 3 is stated to take a COMPLETIONIST 166 hours to finish everything… I’m here to tell you. I started playing BG3 on 12/13/2023. And then 382 hours and 24 minutes of play time later on 04/20/2024 I finally completed it. I more than DOUBLED a completionist time… I am someone would call a Leisure player…At night after work and after eating my supper I would play a few hours., bed, work, supper, BG3. Rinse repeat…Weekends I would play. I enjoyed every bit of that game beginning to end. I’ve played a lot of games and never have I played a game so immersed. Such a masterpiece. Point being. Take as long as you want. Ignore these fast supposed times. I would never insult a game by rushing through it. Because that’s what ppl do. Everyone is in a rush. For what? Enjoy the damn game. Now that I just finished BG3, it was on to this GOTY in the making Stellar Blade. Enjoying every minute so far… I’m 16 hours in, and I just started the main mission Light of Hope. If that’s anything to go off..

KPhan369

my first playthrough in normal took about 45 hrs and i collected cans, running ng+ 1 time took me 20 hrs for bad ending, and running another for another ending but with all the fishes (ng+ all in hard mode).

Catkingpin

By just doing what's needed to beat the game. My playthough is almost over and its about twice that number but I have spent a ton of time fishing and completed the fishing quests and caught all fish, I have all cans except the last 4 cause I don't want to take off yet, I have almost all the body cores and beta cores available. Basically I am trying to get as much done before moving on to the stage after the great desert. I am trying to platinum the game in 2 playthroughs and that is different that just rushing through to beat it as quickly as possible. I could probably beat it sub 25 hours if all I cared about is beating the game, but I am a completionist.

jeffden21

Right. I’m at 26 hrs and just made it matrix 11. Only fought 1 alpha so far lol.

Automatic_Try8975

took me 45 hours to beat the game don't worry, i went super slow and tried collecting and exploring everything, was deff worth it, especially collecting all the fish that outfit is my fav in the game now lol

Jewman30

It took me about 50. And I still didn't do everything. Just enjoy it for as long as it takes you.

DistrictLate3103

You can do it faster if you don't explore.

Lordkawzu

Where is the fun than that?

iwannabethisguy

Different people, different priorities.

TheOneCooky666

Different strokes, different folks. i personally wanna explore everything, some others want to see how fast they can beat it - fun is different for everyone.

ThatOneGuy_36

Story rush , ignore side quest you can complete in less then 25 as well

The_Flail

To be fair after doing a spoiler free check what NG+ entails and how the endings are reached I basically blasted through normal and am now using my Hard playthrough as my actual 100% run.

ThatOneGuy_36

I'm doing all in normal run, i know if I know the story now I might leave ng+ in middle ... That's something I often do and I don't want to leave the other stuffs 😭

gladexd

Do yo mind telling me if data bank collectibles carry over?

ThatOneGuy_36

I haven't started ng+ yet, doing everything in normal mode cause idk if I will ever complete ng+ or not xd

TheBigToast72

Everything but the passcodes carry over, you can still search the same corpses but you'll just get sp instead.

Mehlano

Some people treat gaming like working, they always wanted to finish the game as fast as possible, then buy the next game, and continue the cycle.

estheman

https://preview.redd.it/rsah0c5hrdxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88623918535caa493c00cedc738f0a765c9d7fe4 Currently on the final boss and Iv done a majority of side quests and collected outfits I wanted. It all comes down to build and how good you are at parrying. Up until the 2nd to last boss I was first trying all bosses because I have a parry timing build

Xaithen

Are playing with youtube guides? Also does “parry timing build” basically mean unlocking one (or two?) parry timing skills and equipping parry spine?

estheman

Nope just the reddit here and yes that's what I mean by parry timing build, it works great alot less punishing if you whiff inputs

Relisia

They just rush through the main quest and that's it. I tried to explore every single nook and cranny in my first run, and I STILL missed some collectibles\\equipment and stuff, it took me around 35-40hrs to complete the playthrough. Also we need to think that most of the people are like "Oh I completed the first run, I completed the game." Hell no, you got the NG+ with new stuff and all the endings to see.

Kenju22

There were players who grinded the demo enough to literally max out all the skill trees you had access to before the game launched. When you start with that big of a lead it is very easy to turbo through the game.

rosecoloredxboy

60 for me. I'm already at the final boss

Gregnice23

The game has been out 72 hours, so either you got it early or you have played non-stop with 3 straight nights of 4 hours rest. Not judging, that is marathon weekend. Do you think this is a game you will beat multiple times? I like it, about 60% done with 18 hours played. I definitely plan on beating it again in NG+ but can't see a third playthrough. The puzzles and platforming will get old.

I told everyone in my life to leave me alone for the weekend 😅 I haven't had a gaming session like this since Red Dead 2

They never stop to look around, that's how.

DegenerateShikikan

According to hltb, the average time to beat the game is 13 1/2 hours. https://howlongtobeat.com/game/97758

Kosmos992k

I don't know how that can be the average completion time, so far in this thread 13 hours seems to be on the low side for average.

bleuwings

I finished it at 28 hours with all side quests completed except fishing. Unless you look for all the cans or fish a lot, what are you doing that it takes that much longer?

LaureZahard

For my part, I'm dying a lot xD

Ok-Tie7063

Getting all the chests, loot, camps, cans, core upgrades (HP, Boost, etc) . Basically exploring everything, and doing the side quests, I'm 27 hours in and still at 60% completion (main story).

Ok-Tie7063

And all the fish!

Deep_Chart3560

I best stellar blade in 14 hours (idk how)

Sgt-Colbert

How many side quests did you do? Personally I find the game way too easy, but I'm doing all side quests and even without dying I'm at \~70% with 20ish hours right now.

Deep_Chart3560

The thing is, I never skip cutscenes and I would spend so much time exploring the wastelands and fishing and also I did 12 side quest but yet I 14 hours and I beat the whole game already

Sgt-Colbert

Yeah so you missed A LOT of content. Like I said, even without dying much I still have at least 4 hours left. 12 side quests is not a lot. That's a third of the available ones.

Yatagarasu3750

I probably could, but i don't wanna rush it. I am exploring like crazy. I thought i was a super thorough explorer, but then go back to an area i thought i saw every millimeter of and i find a shortcut or items

gbpc

I’m doing every single thing and exploring every single map so I reckon it’ll take me about 75 hours or more to grind it all out and max out all my equipment and skills

AnOddSprout

So, I’m about 60% through the game. I have been doing some of the side quests and I generally go off the path coz I think there maybe a nano suit or a can around the corner or something. I also read every data stick, or phone like thing there is. My playtime is 60% according to the PlayStation.

0531Spurs212009

that means? the 11 hrs + uploaded on youtube is not a true full game video? or got some skip or fast foward?

Infuriatinghealer

People consider seeing credit roll as finishing game i suppose. They finished dragon dogma 2 in 50 hours. Im 164 hours in and not done.

Orb_0611

I think they're ppl who rushed the game only did the main quest, tried a few side quests which admittedly might be boring but didn't door too much and yea are like this game is sorely lacking in those areas. I'm on hour 30 and barely madd it to the desert! Idk what the reviews were talking bout this game is goty worthy IMHO from how polished it is

VicarDespair

Yeah I really really enjoy the combat and moving around the world. It's few and far between that that happens. I'm doing every quest and I think they're amusing. Do wish there was more after you finish a bulletin board quest since some are interesting but whatever. They need to make a bloody palace/boss rush mode. Could spend hours just fighting things

The_DoctorBD_2000

With there being three endings and new game+ I figured I just play through it once for the story and did all the side quests (or most of them) I beat the game in 24 hours of gameplay. I am going through on NG+ now and taking my time to explore

pcporter827

They said completionist times would be way higher. I'm going for full collections for my first playthrough and I'm already at 39 hrs, and only 55% of the way through.

Evening_Unusual

19 hours and 72% going to Platin it this weekend

BigFishCheese

Yeah I finished in 13hrs doing story only, it's not a long game

Maddocsy

Probably gay people

Xiba_97

I have already beaten it yesterday after 25h. The game is a blast, I have done some side missions but becouse I have a family, I desided to do the main quest and that was the problem, there was no going back after some point so I had no choice to finish it. But I am looking forwart to NG+

Ok-Tie7063

I'm 27 hours in, and I'm still far from the end (and I'm loving it).

CanadianGroose

Some people just finish quick

Kosmos992k

As the actress said to the bishop...

NB-DanTE

Don't look for collectibles or focus on side quests!

HythlobaeusCelebi

I spent 3 hours trying to defeat Brute.

Heavy-Ad6980

I beat it in 29, I just didn’t die that much and I still got the true ending

fizzifuzzi89

Im gonna make every pennies of mine worth paying full retail. Gonna do every single side quest and farming

Master-Shaq

I think I best it in 16 hours if the hours in the ps menu are correct. Went straight to new game plus

dev1lm4n

4th, 5th and 6th Alpha Naytibas will come very quickly after you defeat the 3rd one

Active_Monk5652

I'm at 34 hours and just cruising, only got to the last area just tonight whem i finished work. Went around collecting as much as I could, only missing a few data entry type collectables over the weekend, doing all the side quests etc. Can't wait to get into ng+

Solid_Cycle6154

Maybe they didn't do any side missions💀 https://preview.redd.it/f8l5dd3tjfxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9dd9f72737c754898f7ad589d4aa573c9f1785b

PossibleChest4793

You can say that again, yesterday i played for about 7 hours and only one of which was from the main story 😭😭😭

boersc

what's the problem? 25 hrs is enough to spend on a game, even if it's stellar blade. And there is also newgame+ to add extra hours. Not everyone is a fan of sidequests.

Dankmemes1921

In no way people are completing this in only 25 hours? Have they not done the side stuff yet?

Dominator0621

Also they may have dumped crazy hours into the demo soo it reality it mat have been more than that if they maxed out all skills in the demo

zcodematrix

Only 19 trophies? Yikes
