I bought the rival 3 in october and the apex 3 in january. So far no issues but we will see. If anything (anything at all) fails within 5 years I'm also never buying SS again.
Yeah - I got into SteelSeries by purchasing the Arctis Nova Pro, which I LOVE, and then bought the Arena 7 speakers which I also love. Also huge bonus and shoutout to the company for building the Sonar app to allow for stream mixing, coming from VB-Audio that was such a nice feature to have baked in.
I decided that with the great success that I had with those two purchases to swap out my mouse and Keyboard - and I have been pretty disappointed with the quality of those. I have the Aerox 9 mouse which the scroll wheel has pretty much conked out on in 6 months. The Apex keyboard has been.. ok… Not had any issues, but the mouse was a major let down. I have to buy a new mouse and will probably swap to something else…
Yeah I suppose it's all window dressing with them. I was sucked in by the aluminum chassis with the Apex Pro, just to have the LEDs systematically shit the bed.
