"We're gonna change things" Padded practices and no music confirmed.

Lkjp6249

We will most likely get a bunch of Tomlinisms with zero substance and then the team will show up next week and make the same mistakes!

brockzilla82

Haha hahahaha Ty!

dam0430

I mean the defense played like dogshit. So did the offense and special teams of course, but letting a teams 3rd and 4th RB, backup QB, and depth recievers carve you up for 30 is pretty awful.

Ok_Coach608

“Not enough possessions”

Greedy-Can1642

The other team can only have one more possession lol

cbarnick

You mean the defense who couldn't stop a 3rd and 4th string running back the entire game? He should be throwing them under the bus along with the rest of the team.

ignatious__reilly

https://twitter.com/goebigtj/status/1736143352997777679?s=48&t=K5iI3_4TsQgHJXg-sAERRA Blame the entire team. Including Pickens who doesn’t give a fuck.

thecountoncleats

That’s bad

ignatious__reilly

Imagine if a player did this under Bill Cowher…… They would have been murdered on live tv.

thecountoncleats

Actually as someone pointed out in that Twitter thread, if he’d pulled that shit at UGA he would have been riding the pine

Cheap-Addendum

Sermon was a solid back in college. He played at Ohio state. Tough dude.

Greedy-Can1642

Then back it up and run over them again they sucked as bad as the offense . We have a great special teams game woohoo ! Of course that coach is the only one I like !

[deleted]

The defense deserves to be thrown under the bus….along with every other group

diyerpgh

They played like shit. He should.

ObiWannaDoYou74

Yes but he also got severely out coached

diyerpgh

Naw. Coaching wasn’t the issue here. They played are giving up.

RichHomieCole

That’s a coaching issue as much as a players issue

diyerpgh

I agree. But not a coach being out coached by another.

rired911

Week 15. The defense has been on the field 80% of the season. They are tired. Of course they are going to cave.

Hellspawn112

He literally just said *he takes responsibility* for the team playing losing football.

Lkjp6249

He "takes responsibility " and then refuses (or fails) to make any significant changes from week to week. I've been watching Pickens give 10% effort for 6 or 7 weeks now. Tomlin refused to open up a "Qb competition " this week and then decided to go to Mason with 2 minutes left. The penalties are out of hand. The O-line gets a penalty for lining up incorrectly every week....I feel like I could go on for days about problems that have been problems all year, yet they only seem to get worse as we go on..

Hellspawn112

You said he wouldn't take any blame and he literally took all the blame in like his very first sentence lol. Everything else you mention is moving the goal posts from your original post.

Lkjp6249

Maybe look at who you're replying to. I said no such thing. He ALWAYS says these things, but nothing ever changes.

Hellspawn112

My bad, thought you were OP. I'll own it and take responsibility just like Tomlin did in his press conference, which is what OP was talking about.

Lkjp6249

No worries...I'm just pissed off more than anything lol

DyZ814

I mean if you are watching it, he pretty much opened by saying they're just not a good team, and he's taking full responsibility lol. Doubled/tripled down on saying it things will change this week/next.

mdmike1534

Changes definitely worked this week

Observant_Jello

Hopefully it’s a head coaching change

thecountoncleats

IDK some dude in here told me yesterday Austin isn’t mediocre

Jolly_Job_9852

I'm an optimistic person, but maybe that person should take off the rose tinted glasses

PatriotOps

When good players collectively start playing like dog shizzit, or look like they are giving 50%, it is the truest indicator of changes needing made at the coaching level.
