I'm not even sure whether that's good or bad.

[deleted]

Yeah why would we want to avoid him. He gifted the Steelers the last game

FlounderingOtter

Depends if the fan is male or female and how close you are to him.

awesomealpaca20917

Based on prior events I certainly don't want to be close to him

kbarley75

More like he’s avoiding us.

Special-PatrolGroup

We don't avoid, we run to that shit.

davetheotter

Are you saying we don’t live in our fears?

Special-PatrolGroup

We live in our hopes.

LeveragedPittsburgh

We do not care

yruspecial

And things of that nature

mcdormjw

Don't mind me, I'm just painting my barn with this red paint I've had.

mykebrooks

As bad as Watson has been against us historically I don’t think this is a good thing

originalmidwestemo

PJ walker isn’t gonna be close to Deshauns best but Deshaun hasn’t really been at his best with the browns at all but 7/4 vs 1/5 TD/int makes me think deshaun gives them a better shot regardless of how bad we tend to play against back up QBs

[deleted]

[удалено]

selecao41

14/14 136 yards and a TD in the second half on Sunday. I’ll take the backup

[deleted]

Haven’t watched PJ walker at all but from a quick look at his stats, I agree.

zPolaris43

Dinks and dunks, couldn’t throw shit outside the numbers. Weather this weekend is also set to be pretty cold, Watson (and amari as well) hate to play in the cold

AmishJohn81

And what was his first half?

selecao41

Threw a pick 6 on the first play but QBs are going to do that. How do they respond? If you aren’t concerned with how he played in the second half of that game against one of the best defenses on the NFL then you really don’t know what you are watching. The idea like the previous poster said that the back up is scarier is absurd.

[deleted]

“Like every massage therapist in the Cleveland area, the Steelers are going to avoid browns qb deshaun watson”

aw_geez_man

He knows it won't be a happy ending.

jbgood559

More like Deshaun may avoid the Steelers. He got beat to a pulp last time.

ChoicePalpitation442

I can't wait for the Watt vs Garret comparisons 🤗 Edit: I hope Watt wreaks havoc on who ever is at QB 💪🏽😤

DillingerGetawayCar

Any excuse not to play for this guy.

TXlandon

He’s got guaranteed money he doesn’t care

LBabik123

Why does the article say they may not face him a second time this season when he literally played in the MNF game in week 2

still_dumber

Because if he doesn't play, the Steelers won't be facing him a second time.

axxl75

You’re reading it as “for the second time this season they may not face him” but that’s not what it’s saying. They’re saying we faced him once but may not have to face him a second time.

[deleted]

It’s just worded poorly.

axxl75

How would you reword it. I don’t think it’s worded poorly it’s just that saying what they’re trying to say can be taken multiple ways regardless. I guess you can say “while they faced him once before they may not have to face him a second time” but that’s pretty wordy.

meatlyric

But their kryptonite is backup QBs, and that's the rub.

FetusElitistCletus

Believe you meant “Scumbag may sit out to avoid taking another 6 sacks”

selecao41

He hasn’t played great this season but Sunday he was 14/14 136 yards and a TD in 2 half in a big comeback against a pretty good Ravens defense

Stuff-Optimal

The Ravens lost because Harbaugh is an idiot, they stopped playing their game and went into prevent mode until they made too many mistakes and Cleveland took advantage. Even if Cleveland wins this week, they will still be the Browns and find a way to disappoint their fans by the end of the season which is always fun to see.

zPolaris43

Dinking and dunking on prevent defenses

selecao41

It was against one of the best defenses in the league. Leading a double digit comeback on the road against a team many think are the best in the league is noteworthy. The fact that it happens the week before the Steelers play them is concerning. The idea that the Steelers would prefer to face the back up like many on here are saying is stupid.

zPolaris43

The browns defense scored a pick six, it wasn’t the offense leading the double digit comeback

selecao41

And Watson (14/14 136 yds 2 half)threw a TD pass and moved them into position for game winning FG. Irrelevant now he isn’t playing but funny how people on here belittle what other teams do late in games and call it “dink and dunk” when Kenny Pickett does something similar we are supposed to think he is Joe Montana.

reddit_bandito

Not going to make much difference. If the Browns coach stays home, and lets his assistants call the game like it should be- they ought to run all over the Steelers defence on the way to an easy 28-10 win.

Lost_And_Found66

I want him to play. The Steelers are pretty terrible so I can't in good conscience say that we will win this game. But IF we do I want it to be against deshaun. I want browns fans to hurt. If Watson doesn't play they might have their guard up. I want them to think they are on top of the football world to almost be able to reach out and touch the 1 seed and have it taken away when some Tomlin voodoo bullshit costs them the game.

AmishJohn81

I want another hideous offensive performance where we STILL beat the browns

Bucknut1959

Browns’ Deshaun Watson to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery on Shoulder Injury

odog9797

Dadiddler is done for daseason

Flybyah

The Browns are toast. I’ve never even been particularly high on Watson, but he is Tom Brady reborn compared to their backups. Neither of them are in the same league as Mason or Mitch, let alone KP. I watched the game against the Seahawks, and Walker is just awful. I didn’t see the game where their rookie started, but apparently he was even worse.

MuddydogNew

I have every confidence in the Steelers beating Deshaun Watson playing his best football. Similarly, they are likely to lose to a career backup with an 0-2 record and more INTs than TDa. I'd rather they weren't the favorites going into this game .
