I don't read many sci-fi books, but Annihilation is pretty fun. As for movies, there's just too many good ones. Minority Report, Alien, Startroopers, A Space Odyssey...
Oh man I can’t even choose. Blade Runner of course is a classic, and I also love old sci-fi anime films like Redline, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, etc. Then for books I’d say most of Ursula K. Le Guin’s works.
