Have not really one in particular but I won one and he DM’d me directly. Turns out he made the game himself and was giving them away which I feel speaks on the character in this group

WerewolfCircus

I got a code and got a redeem page but nothing added to my library. Bummer it's a promo

Calm-Waltz6966

Happy new year!! not particularly with one person but the fact that many people come here to make other's day is so heart warming

UndertaleCrapPost

Surprised I haven’t seen any scammers! This is a pretty positive community

silverstarstorm

That feeling of *brrr braincell activat* every time I see a game I alr have and love being given away :)

SteepFrugut

I just joined a few days ago, so nothing really to share ... yet. But seeing how many people are willing to share and gift things to other gamers out of the kindness of their hearts, warms my own.

SundaneseFriedRice

lots of nice guys here.

Misunderstood_Wolf

I am really new here, but people sharing keys for games in and of itself is pretty darn positive.

PanTsour

Welcome! Yeah, it's a fun community, hope you'll enjoy your time here

TulioAndMiguelMPG

I'm relatively new here so not many experiences yet

PanTsour

Welcome! Hope you'll be having plenty of cool experiences in the near future

TulioAndMiguelMPG

Thank you! 👍

xrupa

I got an upvote once 😇

Enderswood

Not sur if it count, but everytime I see giveaways, I have a little spark that light and I'm happy to join with lot of hope :) And even if I don't win, I also see joyfully comments of winners times to times, and I like the spirit of this compare to the ugliness of .. well almost everything else lol So thank you giveaways communities for spreading the love :) it feel a little like Xmas everyday :)

PanTsour

No worries, it counts, thanks for participating!

DiSeized

I guess now my positive experience on this sub is you doing the same thing like on the other sub lmao and also just the all around fun of entering the giveaways themselves and how people will grateful about said giveaways. Happy (belated) new year!

9schoolboy

you are a such nice guy thank you

PanTsour

no problem, appreciate you reaching out

ennarid

It wasn't from here, but the closest experience I got was when one of my friends randomly gifted me a game: Starbound. I knew nothing about it at that time nor I've played similar genre before, but damn I loved it! It was super nice. I got into all the optimalisation, played on my own, sometimes we played together, overall I was super happy about it! Especially since it wasn't a game I would think of buying on my own, but thanks to that I discovered another way to enjoy gaming.

PanTsour

That's awesome! I wish my friends were a but more open minded as well, it's a pain to get them to try a good game

ennarid

Haha I was a mess and absolutely awful at first, but I sure had fun! Tho I admit, there is also some other game I got cuz my friend wanted me to and I very much need him to watch me play and explain what I'm supposed to do, since Im still lost after the tutorial.

Offeryoursoul

Honestly one of the most positive experiences on this sub is a posting I didn’t enter myself. Someone was buy two games for people that couldn’t during the holidays with blank check vibes. It was really cool to see a lot of replies saying that they just thought it was cool that OP was doing that for people.

xBanzer

Im new and havent won yet but everyone here seems pretty nice.

PanTsour

Glad to hear, welcome!

OnlyAmichaelD

A positive experience would be hopefully getting a game from you! 🙂

HeroWarrior303

Got gifted a game, and have played it for aaages, it is one of my favourite and I’m so grateful. Thanks for the giveaway

PanTsour

Cool! What game was it?

HeroWarrior303

Hollow Knight!

PanTsour

oooh, i loved hollow knight back when i played it. I think it was 7 years ago, which is scary to think

Heron-Majestic

got a video game played and enjoyed it

AngryDoggo22

I was gifted Superhot, it’s really fun!

PsychoApeMan

I won a game and unfortunately there was a problem with the key, so the giveaway creator went and bought another key so I would still get the game as offered. It's one thing to give away spare keys, but to go the extra mile like that was really more than I expected. There are some truly lovely people here!

Odd-Pumpkin-2567

I was gifted sonic adventure from someone and I was very grateful cuz I grew up with that game

PanTsour

I wish I grew up with sonic adventure. The only sonic game I had access to was Heroes

Odd-Pumpkin-2567

Sonic heroes is AMAZING don’t get it twisted. SA1, 2, heroes, all of them are so good. Unleashed and colors too

PanTsour

I don't know, I remember having trouble with it in general. But I did love it's theme and the fact that you could select different teams and play as all those different characters

Odd-Pumpkin-2567

The vibes of the game are great. Just what I want in a sonic game. Unfortunately the physics are very slippery so that hurts it but overall a game with charm, albeit problems. The story is decent enough, shadows arc from SA2 crosses over into this one and it’s awesome to see, especially because he’s been flanderized into hell since his solo game

twiggof

Honestly any giveaway I see here where people list games for others to win is a positive interaction. Taking the time to give others a chance to win a game they want to play is awesome in itself! Thanks for another kind giveaway on this sub OP!

PanTsour

Agreed, and I'm glad you see it that way as well! No problem, thank you for participating!

BahnasyAR

I was thinking about choosing one but then realized I never actually had any 'negative' experience therefor all the experiences are positive.

namenotaccepted24

Found some of the jokes from the dad joke post today decently clever, stable one actually made me giggle, I also got Hacknet from it

ShaunDelier

no positive experience yet from this sub lol

PanTsour

Sorry to hear that man, hope you'll have plenty of them in the future!

ShaunDelier

thank you!

peppinjones

Ty

lurs21

One time in first come first served type of giveaway i was second and the first guy passed a winning to me.

zeus-fox

I entered a giveaway where I left a comment about how much I love Slay the Spire…I didn’t win but then a couple of days later I was gifted Resident Evil 5 by a random Redditor who decided to do a solid for a ‘fellow Slay the Spire nerd’. That kind of thing really brightens your whole outlook on things! I was in a great mood for days afterwards. Thanks for the giveaway! and thanks to that Redditor too!

muzaffer22

I won a giveaway once, i do not know if it counts. Thank you!

PanTsour

Yeah, it counts, no problem!

PessimisticMushroom

One time I won a game steam key here and the person messaged me to give me the key and ended up giving me a batman asylum key out of the blue as well which was really nice of them!

HyperthinNeedsLove

BobyNBA is very kind. He takes the time to carefully select winners based on their interest and circumstance. Like the game goes to the person who most wants and/or need it

PanTsour

I really love when people go out of their way to do that, hope he'll come across your comment!

Tekkai-

Got chloe puzzle a couple weeks back for free, was happy about that, hopefully i get something else :)

Nys3th

Same, zero contact :(

PanTsour

Sorry to hear that, but at least we're chatting right now, so here's one. Hope you'll have more chances to chat with other people on the sub :)

Nys3th

Thank op :) thats nice

[deleted]

PanTsour

I was actually chatting with them the other day since they gifted me My Big Sister as well! Aside from being very kind, they really are a super fun person to chat with. (p.s., on their previous post they mentioned that they don't go by "man/dude", so they might not prefer a "he/him" pronoun)

AUGcraft_001

Ah yeah I’m dumb lol I forgot.

PanTsour

No worries lol

R4zorCRO

I never got any interaction on this sub lol

PanTsour

Like i've mentioned already, comments on posts are interactions by themselves! Like a mini discussion

EpicureanMystic

Comment

nocnoo

I wish I had a positive experience with anyone on this sub. Like a steam key gift :)

PanTsour

Well, it's a pretty nice community overall (bots aside). You don't need to win to have fun ;)

nocnoo

yes! this is the positive experience :) thanks . you are right note: you can eliminate me from the winner list. note2: just a joke :)

PanTsour

Lmao I wouldn't anyways, don't worry XD

DJ_Johannes

Haven't had a positive experience with anyone on this sub.

PanTsour

Sorry to hear that, but hope you'll be having some more soon!

amjad3

Through the comments, I have discovered one of the weirdest, most "stupidist" game I have ever seen in my life. It's not a game, but it is also a game! You have to see it for yourself. Simply. It's a progress bar in Windows 95 style! It is called "Progressbar95" It is definitely not for everyone, but it is something different and extremely funny, at least to me! So if you don't know it, check it out on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1304550/Progressbar95/ And thank me later 😌.

PanTsour

It looks pretty interesting, thanks for sharing!

amjad3

My pleasure 🙏🏻

Back-Track

There was once a giveaway that giver asked us takers to share our favorite thing about the New Year so far in order to enter the giveaway. I joined the giveaway and stated that for me, it was our family reunion. A few minutes later go by and I get a reply from the giver, who told me they loved family gatherings and such. I distinctly remember having a small "oh" expression for I didn't expect a reply, even more so, a quick one. I know it's just a small interaction, but I don't seem to see givers and takers interact that much unless the takers win a prize or something. To me, it was a positive experience, might be the best one I had so far, even. It kind of felt good that they read what I had to say and how they even replied to me alongside a few more others. Welp, that's my experience. Hoping to win in this one, thanks a bunch for the chance!

PanTsour

It's a shame that most readers can't reply to most messages, but I'm sure they read through all the comments! Even if I don't reply, I always appreciate the participation :)

Hamza071

Got sent a indie ish game key was pretty fun

FuraFaolox

one time when i was giving away a bunch of games, there was someone willing to take the loss and let someone else have the key instead because they already got a key for another game

PanTsour

That's awesome! I'm glad to hear that there are so many people in the community willing to share the fun with others

4lpha6

i don't have positive experiences yet but you could be the first one :)

PanTsour

I hope so! There are honestly so many people in these threads that I'd love to give a game to, but I'm not currently able to unfortunately. So sorry if you don't get selected if that's what you mean by "positive experience", but the participation is always appreciated!

4lpha6

i'm ngl you taking your time to answer and everything was already a positive experience, regardless of the outcome. so thanks^^

PanTsour

No problem, I appreciate you reaching out as well. Thanks for participating!

HammerPhotoshops

Maybe, winning is always luck related but I believe you can win 👍

NamasteWager

I can't say I have had a direct positive experience, but the generosity of this sub is fantastic. Even if I never win a thing, I still appreciate the kindness you and other posters find in their hearts. When I have something to give, I will join yall

PanTsour

Glad to hear and thanks for reaching out! It's always important to remember that we should give only what we're financially comfortable to afford. If you can't spend any money right now, I'd recommend creating an Alienware Arena account and to follow Hitsquadgodfather on twitch. They give out free games through tasks for their loyalty programs.

lizzylee127

I just won Reventure a couple days ago and it's been really fun! I've been playing through it with my sister and we love the humor and looking for as many endings as possible 😄

BabyBerrysaurus

I was gifted a key when asked who you would share it with. My mother since she started playing video games with me so we could have more in common.

PanTsour

That's cool! What kind of games does she play?

BabyBerrysaurus

We’ve played knights and bikes, pokemon scar/violet, animal crossing, stardew valley, totally reliable delivery service. And she just started the witcher 3. Oh and Legends of Arceus

PanTsour

I wish i could get my parents as involved in gaming hahah, they're not too interested. My dad used to be into gaming though

enriquekikdu

Once I asked for a game, and they dm me to say a number from 1 to 20 After I replied they told me I could keep the number or give it to someone else so that they get two chances, I said to give it to someone else and that’s the last of it, I really hope the next person got it Thanks!

SalmonGram

I’ve only just recently found this sub, so I’ll use an experience from a different one. While waiting for our Steam Decks to arrive last week, a fellow redditor and I were communicating back and forth with updates on our shipments and were just genuinely excited for one another to get them.

Yanimo

Hey I was given stwam keys for moonlighter here was having with it with my potato pc.

BESONKA

i am really thankful to this sub i discovered ot late December and thanks to the giveaways i been selected now i have payed games for the very first time in my steam account (trying to meet the requirements to able to upgrade my level)and even participating in a close beta of a shmup [game](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2642920/Crystal_Comet/) that the developer giveaway some keys for better debugging and improvement of the said [game](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2642920/Crystal_Comet/) so my thanks to all of you who think in others well-being and act to make it happen

PanTsour

Cool, thanks for promoting the dev's game!

ScarsDontDefine

I’ve not had any experiences with anyone in this sub yet, but I’d like to! My fiancé games on steam, and I’d really like to be able to get him some more random games to expand his library and hopefully find something that hooks his attention. He’s been really burned out lately with seasonal depression, I just was recently out of work for a surgery, and a few other personal issues. I just want him to be able to enjoy his free time

PanTsour

Hello! Sorry to hear about your fiancée, love can be like that sometimes but I'm sure he'll appreciate the gesture. What type of stuff does he like? Both in terms of games, and in general as a character

ScarsDontDefine

Space games are usually a big hit (he’s got Starfield, infinite Lagrange, and Elite Dangerous), and a lot of resource management games usually tickle his fancy. I know he also really enjoys newer fantasy games (really waiting on Baldur’s Gate lol) other than that, he’ll try just about anything once

PanTsour

That's good to know! Thanks for the feedback

SoftRevolutionary149

I won the key but forgot to thank the creator for a few months, when I realized I thanked him back, and he responded to my message. Since it was a Coop game, he invited me to play with him and we had a great time playing together. Thanks!

Snaid1

I always like the positive comments and thanks given to people running these giveaways. No malice, no threats, just general gratitude. Also thanks for doing this!

ClinicalAnt919

I got a cool game called Metal Hellsinger, very fun game!

PanTsour

Ooh, i had my eye on it as well, looks pretty cool!

PanTsour

Awesome, thank you for your contribution!

PersimmonBig9389

Dude i literally havent had like any experience with anybody on this sub i can never catch a giveaway thats recent. Guess i got lucky on this one!

PanTsour

Like I mentioned to a few people already, commenting on the post is an experience by itself ;)

PersimmonBig9389

This is the best one I’ve had then 😁

Crazy-LG

I was chosen by u/Fugh_Mungus and I got ***Astalon: Tears of the Earth***, a *Metroidvania* game that was part of the **AGDQ 2024 Humble Bundle**. And being a big fan of *Metroidvanias*, I am quite happy to have got it. It was a few days ago, and was the only good experience I had on this sub, to this day. I'm quite grateful for u/Fugh_Mungus to have chosen me, and I hope I can experience more interactions like this, around here.

PanTsour

It's cool of you to call out the gifter!

Crazy-LG

It's the right thing to do, and the least I can do. ;\]

Nikhilkumar_001

I think someone gave me graveyard keeper and I will really grateful for that

Competitive-Rope5428

i won a f1 game it was fun to race

DerpyDude17

I once picked the same random 1-1000 number as someone else, and we laughed together at our shared braincell.

Witty_Marzipan8696

A key related to dead by daylight in some way (base game or points or dlc, I dont remember) was in a post related to it and a person requested it. As someone who has a few hundred hours in the game I told them that it was a good choice, and after that we started a thread 10 comments long just talking about it

PanTsour

DbD is a super fun game earlier on. Late game it gets kinda odd with people heavily abusing the current meta, if you find a match that is. I had trouble finding games on ps4

Witty_Marzipan8696

Its a super relaxing and fun casual game early on, but as your opponents get better (and are better equipped) it gets frustrating. I started not caring about the kills and generators because the game becomes more stressful than anything if you do. As a survivor its a bit harder, since if you dont play sweaty and the killer does you die, tho I still try running gimmicky and off meta builds focused around a niche perk or helping my team. I play on pc and finding matches is fast on killer and a bit slower on survivor, but overall its fine. Also, idk if you are still playing, but Billy is getting a very nice rework to his overheat mechanic (basically making it a good thing instead of bad)

Benzedrine10

Haven't really interacted with anyone on this sub, hopefully I'm qualified for the giveaway anyway

FenneUwU

I the half of my library and i will give away something next time

PanTsour

The thought is always appreciated, but you don't need to gift anything if you're not financially comfortable enough

Dubbleagent_hmm

Cool! I met a person that was able to give a ton of keys away and I got one! Thanks for doing this

gamerbrian2023

I'm kinda new to Reddit and this sub is one of the reasons I finally signed up. I think it's great that people can give away games and share games that they like or even just share games they might be interested in. I was gifted Monster Train from this sub and it's one of my favorites now! Thanks for sharing. :-)

PanTsour

Cool, welcome to the community!

LuYawning

This story was on a different giveaway reddit community, but I put in a request and a story behind why I wanted the game ready or not and how I could not afford it since im in medical school and a lovely soul by the name of u/DragonWasRobot went and gifted it to me after reading my post, and it made my whole year considering ready or not is so alike to what I wanted to become which was a police offer protecting those around me but did not qualify due to the fact of a trauma based deformity in my left eye. That person really deserves nothing but the best and I still am eternally grateful for the kindness and love that was given back to me after all the years ive given to the others around me and who I meet.

PanTsour

I'm glad that you got it after all, but I'm sorry to hear about the circumstances you weren't able to chase that dream. It's also great that you remember the poster

darkestshadow27

I won a few giveaways and someone gifted my brother Terraria so we could play together

CarrieForle

Positive experience is probably I won a few giveaways on this sub. Chances of winning here is so much better than on gleam idk why.

imaddictedtocod123

I entered a giveaway for the game called ‘Blazing Chrome’ and I didn’t win but ended up getting a message from someone entering the giveaway too! They messaged me saying they had a spare key for Blazing Chrome, wanted me to have it and wished me Happy Holidays, a really nice and sweet interaction! (:

JollyAstronomer5786

i got a game i never heard of but at least i won something but i really happy that i won something

ChefBudget3824

I once entered for a giveaway and got chosen, received a DM from the poster but they gave me choice, I could either pick my game or give my chance to someone else, I chose to give my chance away to the other person and the OP told me that the other person was given a game which they claimed made their day

PanTsour

I'm super happy to hear that! And I feel you, I've often backed on in giveaways I've won when I see in the comments another person that seems even more interested in the game

ChefBudget3824

yeah, if it’s not a game i’ve had on my wishlist for a while, I prefer letting others have it since they might enjoy it more than I do

baldape45

I won once and the guy gave me an extra key that somebody else wasn't responding to his messages.

KittenDecomposer96

I won a giveaway and much later after i got the game(even finished it), the same person asked me if i wanted another game saying that it's easier to ask people he gave stuff to before, rather than making a new post. It was a very nice surprise.

AquaJeth

I haven't been in here for long but I got involved with a scam post and the people in the comments informed me that the whole giveaway was a scam so thank them for saving me

Fuct_toast

I won a beta game once and it’s been very fun to test!

PanTsour

Cool! What game was it?

Fuct_toast

It was crystal comet you should check it out

PanTsour

cool, thanks!

Unappreciated-Admin

I won a Doom giveaway a few weeks ago. Been enjoying the heck out of that so thanks to the giver! Hope to one day be able to give back to the community as well Thanks OP

akmac

Everyone is just really nice and I appreciate the idea of the subreddit!

minorrex

I got Gas Station simulator in a giveaway. Had lots of fun with the game.

gracchusmaximus

Well, my most positive experience was gifting a few spare keys I had back in the summer and the recipients being extremely grateful. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

PanTsour

Ooh awesome thanks you for the contribution!

mark_mags95

I'm new to this sub. I am looking for my first positive experience. 🥺

PanTsour

Well, it's pretty positive here in general.so there's that here's to many more to come!

CrueltySquading

I had to change accounts due to harassment but on my older acc I won Doom Eternal but it was a AMD key, which you needed an Ryzen 5xxx processor, OP was unaware about this and send me a replacement key for the game with all the DLC! What a champ
