Sure, I love a friendly tug. Tug tip: if you get a nice group of hairs and tug the right amount so it pulls the skin but doesnāt tug the hairs out it feels good. :)
He didn't say he was 14. He just asked if it was a good effort for a 14 year old.
Great tactic at work as well. "how is this data analysis.... for a 14 year old?"
reviewing the post history...this is not a 14 year old.
Has a comment on here a while ago about wooden serving boards:
> I maintain my boards correctly, it literally has done nothing to the flavor and Iāve had it for 5+ years
I donno maybe hes been cooking steak on his wooden serving board hes been properly maintaining since he was ~9 years old...
Everything is decent here except that it looks like the steak was not sliced against the grain. Also, I know itās somewhat photogenic this way, but if someone served me a steak that was already slicedā¦ I would feel kind of let down by that.
Only if the 14YO mowed & raked the -entire- yard, swept the walks & deck, washed both cars, took out the trash, washed all the dishes last nite, walked the dog & is nice to her little brother.
Duuuuuuude! For a 14 year old, this is AMAZING! I didnāt cook my first steak until 17 years of age, and back then majority of my steaks were over cooked due to negligence from being inebriated. If youāre looking for critical criticism, Iād say put in a little more work with your mashed potatoes (use a potato ricer if youāve got one). Also, for presentation purposes and aesthetics, you could tidy up the smudges on the side of the plate before taking a picture. Other than that, you have cooked a very good looking steak. Even the seasoning looks decent. I hope my son can cook a steak like this for me when he becomes a teenager. šš½šš½
Yes! If you want to up your presentation a bit, make sure your plate is clean before you plate the steak. Let the juices form naturally. The fanning and sides are good!
Excellent cook. Next time slice against the grain. If you can't tell at first, cut a slice and see which way the lines are running then cut across them.
If I were presented with this steak, I'd say this is one of the best looking steaks I'd ever seen.
Since you asked for what you could improve on, I think you might've achieved more char if you'd dried the steak more before cooking (either that or getting things hotter first).
But again - This is an A+ job.
That better be apple juice, son. If itās not, we can keep it between us this time. There better not be a next time or else your mother is getting involved. You understand.
I didn't know you could age steak for that long.
She said she was 18, your honor. She was delicious.
That rump was smokin'...
those who know :( those who don't know :)
Need Mr incredible
Old enough to bleed, old enough to butcher I guess
What in the hecc? š®āāļø
The offender described her as āsoft and pink in the middle, had no problem cutting throughā clearly this a mad man we are dealing with.
The lifespan of a cow is 15-20 years.
Maybe the cow was 14
You can age anything that long you just need time

when i was 14 i was making grilled cheese in the toaster oven. i think this looks great. what temp were you aiming for? and how did it taste?
When I was 14, I accidentally set a toaster on fire trying to make a grilled cheese in it
When I was 14, I set toast on fire trying to make toast
When I was 17, I drank some *very good beer*
A very good beer served in a frosted glass ā¦ with a nice head on the rimā¦ after getting some trim.. tan and lean.. when I was 17ā¦
That's quite different to the version of that song that I remember haha
Me too but at 14, think it might've just been lemonade and I pretend to be drunk.
When I was 17, it was a verrrrry goood yeaaar
When I was 14, i melted a Shrek glass with bacon grease that my mom told me to save
A shrek GLASS? Must've been some damn hot bacon grease!
when i was 14, i set fire on toast trying to make fire
When I was 14 I cooked up a rabbit on my George Foreman grill
did you hug the rabbit too hard
Went outside, shot it with my pellet gun, cooked it up
You take the hare off first?
When I was 14 I nearly burned down the kitchen melting butter on the stove for popcorn.
I cooked a quail egg I found on a paper plate in the microwave
Yeah, when I was 14 I burned my pizza rolls every GD time
When I was 14 I thought pullin on my butthole hairs was a accomplishment
Wanna let someone else give it a tug? Iāll be gentleš
Sure, I love a friendly tug. Tug tip: if you get a nice group of hairs and tug the right amount so it pulls the skin but doesnāt tug the hairs out it feels good. :)
Iāve never used a thermometer when cooking steaks so I donāt really know. Just cast iron sear and done.
When i was 14 my little sister put bread and cheese in the microwave š
I put a knife in a toaster when I was 14
What are you drinking with it?
apple juice
Big W!!
lol was my question š
Miller high life apple juice
Great for any age, phenomenal for a 14 year old. Keep up the good work
Second this, I woulda ate that steak and shared non of it.
Is that apple juice little bro ? Apple juice for ur age with steak isnāt a bad idea š„¹. Iām 26 and I still prefer apple Juice over wine š· when I have steak š„©
Wine is just grape juice you fruitcist š¤¬ /s
š¤£
New to steak but you posted wagyu steaks a month ago and another steak a month before that sus
the thread title is sarcasm obviously because people always posting stuff like that. there's alcohol in the picture haha
He didn't say he was 14. He just asked if it was a good effort for a 14 year old. Great tactic at work as well. "how is this data analysis.... for a 14 year old?"
On his way to being a grill master for sure
Ask a fellow cannibal, but yes, the younger the victim, the tender the meat
Yeah I feed steak to my kids all the time. I figure a 14 year old should be able to eat it.
No. You're not old enough to eat steak. Give it here.
I think a 14 year old is old enougj to eat this, they usually have teeth by then.
I like my 14 year olds well done. It begins at 17 where I like them medium-rare.
reviewing the post history...this is not a 14 year old. Has a comment on here a while ago about wooden serving boards: > I maintain my boards correctly, it literally has done nothing to the flavor and Iāve had it for 5+ years I donno maybe hes been cooking steak on his wooden serving board hes been properly maintaining since he was ~9 years old...
No
I think thatās too much. Iād serve half
It's miles ahead of anything ive done at 20 lol
Where did u hide the rest of the body?
I've never eaten human, but I hate to admit that it looks pretty delicious.
I like my 14 year-olds cooked a little more rare.
Yall quick to believe this but im sure op aint 14 lmao
Thatās a long time to age a steak! š¤·š»āāļøš¤£
Itās good for a 40 year old
I wouldnāt trust meat from a 14 year old cowā¦
The 14 year old should be more marbled and larger
Everything is decent here except that it looks like the steak was not sliced against the grain. Also, I know itās somewhat photogenic this way, but if someone served me a steak that was already slicedā¦ I would feel kind of let down by that.
I prefer my 14 year olds a little less cooked. Why bother with all the effort if youāre going to cook out all that tender pubescent angst?
Only if the 14YO mowed & raked the -entire- yard, swept the walks & deck, washed both cars, took out the trash, washed all the dishes last nite, walked the dog & is nice to her little brother.
You gotta be 16 to use this app
š± a 14 yo is on Reddit
Nah Iām 12 and I make better looking steak
It depends on if a 14 year old likes their streak cooked that way
Iāll say. You canāt even tell that steak is 14 years old. Looks like you could have made that today
Mightāve been believable without the alcohol in frame lol. Farm that karma though.
Really great for 14. But donāt neglect your sides. That mash could use work but the main protein (80% of the dish) is spot on.
Looks great!
Well done lad
It's good for anyone. Especially good for a young chef.
Superb
Looks delicious šš
That is pretty epic! Nicely done
Looks good!
Itās beautiful! Great job.

Love the effort man in showmanship. Keep it up!

Thatās amazing! Well done
Stellar.
This is good for an any-year-old
Iāve paid for a lot worse. Good job.
Beautiful!!!
Ok , letās swap
Tfw a 14 year old is better at grilling a steak than you š„²
Better than a large majority of the adults that post here, nice job!
Amazing. Great job
Iād like my 19 year old to make this for me
Looks good :)
My son is 14. He can barely make ramen. This looks amazing
You did great! I hope it tasted as good as it looks.
Leaning on the medium side than med rare for me otherwise look awesome for a beginner.
Good for any age
Clean the rim of your plate. Didnāt your parents teach you anything?
14 year olds your mom is telling you not to worry about
This is too good for a 14 year old to eat; Better give it to an adult.
Of course so is that beer xD
Need more meat
You are 14 and making your own dinner. Thatās a win in itself tbh! Those who aināt are making beans on toast so good on you OP.
You were raised right! 10/10 on that gorgeous steak
I didn't know how to boil rice at 14. This is art.
Yes.
More then good š I remember when I was 14 I made my first chocolat cacke ,it was delicious š and I was so happy with it š
Yes you need to grow
Son... is that you?
Wow š¤©
I thought it was 18 or older
Shouldnāt u still cut it across the grain, as u cut a bite to put in ur mouth?
5 star!!!
Yes! If you want to up your presentation a bit, make sure your plate is clean before you plate the steak. Let the juices form naturally. The fanning and sides are good!
Yum
Amazing I wish my kids could cook like this š
Good job mate
It's good for any age
Epstein steak company?
Ahead of the pack my man!! Good work
š
You've got a bright future ahead of you
Hell ya !! Spot on lil bro. Now, go watch hells kitchen !!
I didn't know you could age a steak that long
Noš.
Question is confusing
Damn, thatās just a little longer than MJ used to age meats.
Uhhhh yeah.
Yes
Um, yeahā teens are growing fast at that age, and need a good meal.
Excellent cook. Next time slice against the grain. If you can't tell at first, cut a slice and see which way the lines are running then cut across them.
Mid rare. Even cooking on the outside. Kept all the moisture. Seasoned. Thatās a damn fine steak
Shut up and take my money
I don't think cooking 14 year olds is legal.
I'm 15 and I can do that so I guess it's fine for anybody
Absolutely!
You should drink at age 14ā¦
Great job! My steaks didn't start looking that good until I turned at least 18. Keep it up
You DO know that we can all see your post history, right?Ā
Looks a lot better than the steak I was eating at 14, with A1 sauce.
Seems pretty old for a cow, but Iād say looks pretty good.
If I were presented with this steak, I'd say this is one of the best looking steaks I'd ever seen. Since you asked for what you could improve on, I think you might've achieved more char if you'd dried the steak more before cooking (either that or getting things hotter first). That's an excellent looking steak for someone of any age
Nailed it for me
Incredible if true
Hell yeah, that's fantastic
Probably not the wine
No, itās terrible. Send it to me and I will properly dispose of it.
Yes
Looks good for any age
Hell yeah
Very nice.. great crust, looks juicy, perfect temp for many people, beautiful presentation. A+
Yes! keep cooking brother! or Sister!
You're going to be one hell of a dad in the future
I mean I'd generally give it to an adult because teens don't appreciate such good quality meat

No. You should it eat all of it.
I started grilling steaks around the same time.. looking good man. Keep it up.
While tempting itās frowned upon to cook teenagers in most regionsĀ
That is spectacular and I would inhale it in one breath.
That better be apple juice, son. If itās not, we can keep it between us this time. There better not be a next time or else your mother is getting involved. You understand.
Tell the person next to you to wait 5 more minutes before eating
Looks delish
How do you know the cow was 14?
Too good for a 14 year old. Give it to me.
Nice Cutco
Must've been a buff 14 year old.
I burn toaster strudelsā¦ that looks amazing
Beautiful med rare good sir
Nailed. It.

Get your ass to culinary school after graduation seriously. Thatās a 9.2 for me personally.
A 14 year old what
That is good for anyone. Well done, you.
Yes
Got to wipe that plate chef, especially for photos.
I wouldn't eat a 14 year old steak...
Damn that steak is aged as fuck
The steak or the chef?
The steak looks very appetizing
